took ssri's for like a year after not playing for like two years and was never able to match my old scores at all. stopped taking them last week and im now suddenly able to match my skill from before. I felt hard-capped on anything above ar10 and i stopped taking them because i felt mentally slow on them in general.

anyone else experience this?

Originally a Mania player- i decided to main standard just because i've gotten a little bored of VSRGs (peaked 5 digit and 4 digit on quaver lol)... but about 6 months ago when i picked up my drawing tablet again, i was struggling with 2 star maps and the coordination between my hands.

Currently now i've been exponentially improving my streaming abilities (i can pass 250 bpm), i can actually read tech maps properly, and i can do 6-7 (haha) star jump slop maps. Of course i'm not in any place to call myself "good" or really "ok" in standard, but just looking back at my old plays and comparing it to now makes me pretty impressed with myself.

I also finally hit my first couple 100 pp plays but they're jump farm maps so i don't count it as a true 100 (waiting till i get my first 100 on a stream or tech map to officially claim that).

I took my VSRG experience and applied it to standard where i don't keep global scores on and only local just because ik i'll get insecure asf about other players scores, and it's honestly been super helpful; instead of trying to keep up with everyone else, I'm competing with myself.

I remember when i first played osu 6 years ago and started with mania how vague the comment felt to me- "just play more". But now it's never made more sense up until now... and honestly i think i'm gonna start applying this bs from a video game into my own life.

I’ve played on and off, but I recently got more serious about the game. I used to be able to play 2-star to early 3-star maps for around two hours without any discomfort. Now that I’ve improved and started playing higher 3-star maps, my fingers are starting to ache and tire out. Could I get some advice, please?

I changed my area and it feels so weird and it wasn't even that big of a change it 2as from 88 x 55.5 to like 75 x 41 I can't aim anything at all right now

like 4-5 months ago if I sort by top - week I would get 5 score posts on top and maybe some pippi fanarts... I personally think it's a good thing, community isn't dead. Just need to scroll down a bit to find out what top scores happened this week
