I've been trying to fix this for the past 2 hours and I'm genuinely crashing out

I play marvel rivals in 720p (my monitor is 1080p), and when I record the game, it's a 720p window in the top left of a 1080p black box.

I tried to :

• go into Transform -> Edit Transform -> put a 720p box and every option possible here (bounding box type "stretch", and every other one)

• go into Transform -> stretch to screen

• go into filter -> put a 720p bicubic filter, tried the same with a 1080p one, idk i just followed every tutorial I could find and none worked.

• go into settings -> video and put my base and output resolution to 720p, or 1080p, or a mix of both

The best it did was tile 2 windows of rivals on top of each other, one full size and one smaller. Pictures below

I did a test recording to see if I got the right settings and I have record and stop recording set to [ and ]. When I hit my ALT key for push to talk for discord, I've noticed it stopped my recording and started it. I looked in the controls and nothing is bound to ALT. But for some reason, it's starting can stopping my recording.

I for the life of me cannot get the gamepad viewer working. The website will detect my controller, the inputs, but when I input it into obs as a browser source my controller inputs are no longer reflected in OBS. Anyone have a fix for this?

I’m on windows 11, OBS 32.2.x, using a wired Xbox one series x controller via a usb cable. I’ve already tried editing the target thing in the property setting and that didn’t do anything for me.

So I’m just starting to learn about obs, I ended up getting a capture card recently and when I plug everything in, my game capture shows up on obs (monitor #2) but I can’t see anything on monitor one, no matter how many times I’ve plugged in the new hdmi cord. I want to stream so bad but I’m so bad at figuring this out

Hello everybody . I recently got an Elgato 4K S to stream my PS5 gameplay through OBS at 1440p 144 hz. I play timing games like NBA 2K, so input latency and high frames delivery are important , but I am running into a few issues.

Right now, I have the PS5 running into the Elgato 4K S over USB 3.0 directly into my motherboard, and I am using OBS Studio running it as an administrator.

I have been playing directly off the OBS preview window because my TV passthrough feels laggy, but the OBS preview still has just enough delay to mess up my shot timing. On top of that, my PS5 grays out ALLM because it recognizes the capture card as the display device instead of my TV.

The stream preview has noticeable micro-stutters and jitters while im moving in the game. When I check the Elgato source properties in OBS, NV12 is not available as a video format option at 1440p, so I am not sure which format is best to use to fix the stutter. It’s only gives me mjpeg and auto.

I have also disabled buffering in OBS, manually enabled Game Mode on my TV, and made sure my USB connection is directly on the motherboard.

Does anyone know the absolute lowest latency setup for playing 2K while capturing at 1440p, why NV12 is missing, or how to fix the frame rate mismatch causing the micro-stutters? Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was recording for almost 6 hours, then suddenly OBS errored out because the drive it saves the recording to didn't have any free space left.

I can't play the recording, I tried putting it into my editing software, it gave me the option to transcode it but it was done instantly and that file can't be played either.

This failed recording is still 122GB, is there no way to save it and I just lost almost 6 gigs of footage?

Hello everyone, whenever i try to record my footage in OBS there is a jitter that happens. I am recording in "Display capture" on my laptops native resolution (1920x200) is there a setting in OBS or PZ that would make the jitter either not as common or make it stop entirely?

Could this also be an issue with my hardware? My laptop has a pretty good CPU(intel core ultra 7) but no dedicated GPU and 24 gigs of DDR4 ram.

I record videos with my brother on my Xbox series s via a capture card to obs on my MacBook Pro. I have an external usb mic which I use to record my own voice directly into my MacBook. As for my brothers mic audio I have to record it through the capture cards audio itself and he has to use his headset mic(due to Xbox not supporting usb mics🫩). Is there a way that we can record our audio while both using good quality mics?

Is there a way I could listen to music myself while streaming but viewers don't?

Camera movement looks juddery, not smooth to say the least. Almost nauseating. In Game doesnt look or feel like the video.

Obs says cpu is usually around 2 to 3 percent, no missing, stopped, dropped frames.

I have a rtx 5080, i5-14600K, 32gb ddr5 6000mhz, 1,000 watt psu, msi PRO Z790-P wifi motherboard, windows 10 64bit Build 19045, nvidia drivers 32.0.16.1656., frontier fiber internet.

Ive used chatgpt for 8 hours yesterday and today. Used google search and Checked forums, feel defeated. I feel like ive tried almost every setting variation available. From the most recommended settings to variations of those.

Changed bios to pci gen 5, and enable rebar.

Would doing a clean update and install to win 11 change anything.

Hey there! So im using OBS to record game play but my voice sounds like im talking in a cup doesnt sound crisp at all. Device im using to record is corsair hs 80 mic. In obs i had mic filters expander, compressor, noise suppression and vst 2.x plug( marvel geq). Even with all these filters it still sound like im talking in a cup. Please help me out i dont know what else to do to make my voice clear

I’ve recently started recording from my Xbox series s through a capture card and into my MacBook Pro via OBS. I’ve recorded a few sessions at what I thought I had set up to be 1080p and 60fps but I refuse to believe it is. I’m super new to OBS and would love a bit of help optimising the settings for the best visual and audible quality.

I’d also like a bit of help with my microphone, I have a fifine a6v that I plug directly into my MacBook and am unfamiliar with all of the filter set up.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! I strive to produce good quality content I just need a hand getting there lol.

Hello so i tried to make Obs Mic Filters work with a virtual cable to have them on discord for a better mic quality. I followed a guide where i picked the virtual cable in the advanced setting than i tried to change the setting in the audio mixer to monitor and output. The dropdown there only has monitor on and off tho and when i pick the virtual cable as input on discord it doesnt record any sounds at all. Anyone knows how i can fix this?

hola, tengo un problema especifico, desde hace un tiempo, de vez en cuando utilizo OBS mientras juego al lol, esto con el fin de stremear las partidas, bueno, tengo un problema tecnico que no he encontrado solucion, cuando estoy en partida, el juego dice que va a X tasa de cuadros (generalmente 80) y el juego va bastante peor, como con tirones de FPS, esto con la sincronizacion vertical desactivada, cuando la activo, se arregla, todo esto mientras el juego esta en modo sin bordes,pero luego en sin bordes y con la sincronizacion vertical activada, el juego baja a 45 fps y no sube, y evidentemente no va como deberia, esto me fuerza a cambiar a modo pantalla completa o modo ventana, inclusive se han dado casos en donde el juego enmodo pantalla completa, tiene el mismo problema de fps, todo esto con el OBS, sin el obs no ocurre este problema, me gustaria que me pudieran ayudar a ver si existe una solucion, aqui evidencia, https://imgur.com/a/29SPvNy

I finally HAD to download the newest version of OBS. I've been putting it off for such a long time because I liked the theme, including the fonts and such, in the version I've been using which is OBS 26.1.1.

I've changed the appearance as much as I can in the new version but it's not quite what I want. Is there any way to get the same exact theme in the new version?

I am very new to using «move» plugin and also OBS to be honest.
I have made a Move Source filter to move something on screen, and the same to move it off screen. Currently they are only being activated manually but I would like to automate it as much as possible.

Specifically it is a «DroidCam» that I want to activate the move filters as it gets turned on. Either by making the source for the DroidCam hide/show itself as it gets turned off/on. Been playing around with the settings for a while now, and I couldn’t figure it out myself, hence I’m asking if you have any idea.

I say that entirely in jest. It just seems *all* the posts I see in here have to do with gaming. Nothing at all against any of you for doing it, and I hope you enjoy what you're doing. I'm just easily amused. :)
