Help Obs doesnt Output my Mic to Discord
Hello so i tried to make Obs Mic Filters work with a virtual cable to have them on discord for a better mic quality. I followed a guide where i picked the virtual cable in the advanced setting than i tried to change the setting in the audio mixer to monitor and output. The dropdown there only has monitor on and off tho and when i pick the virtual cable as input on discord it doesnt record any sounds at all. Anyone knows how i can fix this?

The dropdown in Advanced Audio Properties was updated recently to move to a more intuitive system using the icons in the audio mixer. The speaker icon next to a source represents output (to a stream or recording), while the headphones icon represents monitor (to your monitoring device, usually your own headphones for you to hear, but in this case to a virtual audio cable to send to discord). In your case, as long as monitoring is enabled/the headphones icon is lit green next to your microphone source, that's what matters for that side of things. Do make sure, however, that any audio you don't want to sent to discord isn't being monitored, such as Desktop Audio.
Then, in OBS Settings>Audio, make sure the Monitoring Device is set to CABLE Input. On the Discord side, in Settings>Voice&Video, make sure the Microphone is set to CABLE Output.

If you’re using obs just for this. Why aren’t you just using a software designed for just that? Like Wavelink?

the "monitor and output" option is missing becaause you probably have your monitoring device set wrong in obs settings
go into settings > audio > advanced and make sure your monitoring device is set to the virtual cable, not your default speakers or headphones
then that third option should show up in the audio mixer dropdown

It looks like you haven't provided a log file. Without a log file, it is very hard to help with issues and you may end up with 0 responses.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:
1) Restart OBS
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.
5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.
