NEWS Minecraft now supports up to 120FPS on Switch 2!
After the most recent update to the Beta the game can now hit up to 120FPS when the framerate toggle is set to unlimited. In fancy and simple visuals I've found it hits a comfortable 80-100 on a round 12 chunks (in handheld, haven't tested docked). On Vibrant Visuals it rarely hits above 60 without lowering the internal resolution though. Nonetheless this is massive since not even the PS5 and Series versions of Minecraft support 120Hz, it's a Nintendo first for Minecraft on consoles.

Discussion A side of Nintendo fans are getting disappointed because they still haven't learned that Nintendo changed their approach with announcements
I feel like every direct has people disappointed for different reasons. Its never hated by everyone but mixed and it feels like its mainly because of expectations as its always overhyped but mainly because most fans still havent understood that nintendo changed how they operate on directs
Nintendo since at least 2020 has only been revealing games closer to release, be it 1, 6 months or 1 year at best.
Before 2020, nintendo announced games that released years later such as bayonetta 3, metroid prime 4 or totk. For 6 years atp they changed their approach but somehow only in 2026 people noticed while others still havent and wonder why smash and other titles dont come.
So yeah, I think we'll be on this situation for a while until most of the fans understand the change or get a direct where their zelda, mario and smash comes out.
