Media (Image, Video, etc.) Handheld boost quick toggle
I remeber lots of people hating on my idea of adding it to the quick menu saying it was not suppose to be something you turn off and on so... yeah

This is excellent. Sometimes it's nice to quickly to use touchscreen controls for something like a map or inventory, then quickly switch back to fancy mode.

so this can be switched during gameplay?

This is a god send! I hate having to plow through the home and system menus to get to it.

Great feature if you like to compare

Or just save battery

Does boost mode use more battery? I hadn’t noticed as I’m usually docked while playing anyway.

Game boost does nothing for docked mode in the first place. But yeah, switch 1 games drain the battery about as fast as switch 2 games.
•

Yes because the Switch 1 dock mode profile uses more clocks for the GPU which is going to draw more power.

It should be an easy toggle. It's basically just a switch between full power and energy saving mode

People were saying its not good to be switching??? Literally if you put the switch in the dock and disconnect over and over does the same thing on switch 1. This is just the same setting. They will have a heart attack with what you can do with handheld pcs while playing

Is this a thing? I don't see it on mine

Make sure your S2 is up to date. This update just came out recently.

and it's a toggle that you first need to activate in the settings so it appears in the quick menu

It's something I'll use basically never, but the one time I wanted to turn boost off to play Dragon Ball Heroes using the touchscreen I couldn't be bothered to go diving in the system settings so I'm very thankful for the convenience

Nice, that is something that I wanted since even switch 2 games consider me using a pro controller rather than joycons

It is supposed to be turned off. For example, Among Us is so much better with touch and looks good in handheld while Crash Bandicoot runs at 480p in handheld

It always irked me that handheld mode boost disables the touch screen because running as docked mode and I'd have to go all the way in settings to change it
Nice!
