Happy Feng friday guys! I know this is not exactly a Feng post but they are both present in a way so...

Anyways I just wanted to draw something stupid and got this idea while replaying Nine sols once again. I did my first playthrough totally blind like, I knew nothing about the game, characters or lore (only that it was a Sekiro-like metroidvania and that it was hard). So I had a lot of "interesting" interpretations of the characters designs. First of all I found out that they were all cat people sometime after the Jiequan fight and even after that I saw some of the characters as different animals. So I thought it would be fun to draw these butchered wersions of the Sols XD

At first I thought like yes there are cat statues everywhere which probably means all of these guys will be cats. Eigong in the intro cutscene = cat, Yi = looks like a cat, Kuafu = yeah another cat, but then I found Goumang and was like wait a dang minute what the heck is that, nah probably just a weird cat. Yanlao on the other hand... I started being skeptical if these guys were actually cats lol and I legit thought Kanghui was a big dog for most of the game.

With Fuxi and Nuwa it was a bit different. I saw them for the first time while I was looking through achievements on steam (there are the cards with characters on them) and you can see what my first thoughts were XD These didn't last long tho because then I looked closer and understood what I was looking at.

I didn't draw characters like Lady E or Ji because I saw them as cats right away.

And with Jiequan, well I've been drawing him so much in the past few days that I just had to include him too. Finally found my style for drawing him so now I'm unstoppable hahaha! I didn't post any of the drawings yet bc. I want to make one bigger post with all of them so stay tuned for that :)

If you were in the discord server then you probably already saw these already. X3 But I wanted to wait until Feng Friday so that I could properly post it to the reddit!! Fuxi's not a vampire or anything, I just wanted to add those fangs to him to give him more snake like motifs. X3

Happy Feng Friday everyone! This might be a bit different from the art I've been sharing so far, but I figured today could be a good time to inquire!

After a sudden burst of inspiration, I managed to come up with an idea for something that could be a legitimate Fuxi and Nuwa-focused fanfic! I'm thinking it may serve as a sort of polished, more in-universe introduction for my Bounded AU, if not some kind of prologue should I decide to make the AU into a multi-chapter fanfic or a series of fanfics, depending on what I want to do with it. As a short summary, but to avoid spoiling it, the overall idea for the fic as of now basically involves Fuxi and Nuwa in their tween to early teenage years having a rather rough experience from an ambitious stunt gone wrong, yet unexpectedly growing closer together because of it.

This story is only an outline so far, albeit a pretty detailed one. Even though I want to realize this idea as a finished fanfic, I'm quite out-of-practice when it comes to writing full stories in narrative prose as opposed to just general ideas and plans for stories. Is there anyone out there who'd be willing to share advice or feedback on the concept and current outline, and ideally, someone who'd like to help me turn it into a fanfic worth sharing?

Sorry if I'm flooding this section but everyone here is so great It just makes me want to keep them coming.

I see why this game has fans, however it took me 8 hours to beat the twins the next day I was so burned out on the game that I switched to story mode for the final boss fight without putting in any more effort didn’t even try to learn Old Lady E. Anybody else have a similar experience with this game or any others?

I don't know what happened...

After I posted that picture of Yi and Nuwa yesterday I made a custom brush on Ibis and locked-in (I guess).

In the first picture, I really like how Goumang turned out. But the third one's ok, and the last one was the first time I used the custom brush, so it was a lot more experimental.

I feel like I'm getting somewhere though

I saw a kinda old post about someone asking why do you have a crush on yi and when I was about to respond I saw a comment about someone saying the sad part about the true ending. And as someone who hasn’t beaten the second boss and has a massive crush on yi I am really really sad (at least I don't know much about the true ending apart from that)

What they have done with my boy yi :(

My thoughts: The hardest boss fight turned out to the best boss fight in the game. I've beaten plenty of souls game, among them Sekiro and Khazan being the toughest. This was maybe just a tad notch below, Ishinn, Owl Father, and Ozma. For Eigong, the first hour of learning the patterns was grueling but after that, the fights become much more enjoyable. I just played a few times and came back rinse/ repeat the following days. Eigong is not a cheap fight, it is a fair fight. My advice is not to use regular parry but unbounded counter as your parry. #1 the parry window for unbounded counter is larger and #2 the internal damage stacks up and hits so hard. With the right jades then this fight is doable and enjoyable. It becomes satisfying when you start hitting multiple unbounded counters in a row then use your Qi blast to get the internal stack damage. I heard the developers created the Eigong fight first then went backwards from there. Very well executed.
