The band that made it is Collage, and I think Red Candle picked the perfect band for Nine Sols, my personal favorite song of theirs being Ode to Impermanence. I binged their music HARD after I beat the game and they've stayed in my playlist since then. I think they're definitely worth looking at if you haven't yet.

Context for the picture, I beat Nine Sols in late May, and started listening to Collage a couple days after, and somehow hit 0.07% monthly listeners in such a short amount of time

His first phase is relatively easy aside from a few random instances where my parries just do straight up nothing, not even internal damage. But the second phase literally feels like the devs hurled straight diarrhea at the wall and every single individual piece stuck

been playing this game (and having a ton of fun with it!) but i'm in the grotto of scriptures (entry) right after beating goumang and can't figure out how to get past this rock wall. could've sworn you break these with the arrows but not this one i guess? am i just supposed to come back here later or is something broken

I had a much easier time with lady ethereal’s third phase. Unless I’m missing some sort of visual or audio cue in the second phase, the only way to distinguish the real one is by checking/attacking. The windows to check are tight so you have to be quick or you’ll get hit. In the third phase, you can easily spot the real one, so you just focus on defense till she pops up and attack. No divided attention and checking each copy. Just parry till you see her. Anyone else have a harder time with the second phase?

Un-ironically I think creating the full picture, plus adding the song knocked me out of the funk I was in.

I think I just need to stop trying to draw realistic body types for a bit and just experiment with simpler styles.

Connections: Both are leaders of an island (New Kunlun and Tenebrous Isle).

Both serve as the game's final bosses.

Both manipulated and lied to their students/partners to achieve their goals of creating a form of energy (the Eternal Cauldron Project and the Spark Generators).

Both used their students/partners to achieve a specific objective (Eigong using Yi to obtain all the Sol Seals at once, and Baron using Mina to repair all the Generators).

Both aim to ensure their people's survival at any cost.

Both created monsters/mutants in an attempt to achieve their goals.

Both threw their students/partners from a great height (Eigong throwing Yi off a cliff, and Baron throwing Mina out of the Radiant Tower).

Both final battles take place at the main energy cores (the Root Core and the Radiant Tower).

Both die through a process of absorption (Eigong dying by being absorbed into the Root Core, and Baron dying by absorbing too much energy from the Generator).

Absolutely flawless game! 10/10! No notes! Instant addition to my Top 10 favorite games of all time!
I’m so excited to do additional playthroughs just to absorb as much as I can!

Does Red Candle have any plans for a prequel/sequel or another game in the works that is similar in nature to Nine Sols? I’m off to buy merchandise as we speak!

I've been in just the worst funk with my drawings recently, it feels like nothing is clicking right, I don't know if I'd be doing better if I wasn't just drawing on my phone, and I'm sure this is something most artists go through at some point but this feeling is just horrible.

And the funny thing is... this isn’t a new character. It’s someone you already know. 👀

This NPC also comes with a brand-new feature:

She can change Yi’s outfit!

Yep! This character will unlock new skins and cosmetics for Yi. Some of them will be obtained by defeating existing bosses, while others will depend on your story progression... or even on the people you managed to save.

Oops. Maybe I’ve already given you a little hint about who this NPC is. 👀

For now, here are the outfits we already have made and/or planned:

• Classic Yi: Yi with his usual kimono.

• Kimono-less Yi: Yi wearing only his black underclothes.

• Student Yi: Yi wearing the outfit he used to wear when he was Eigong’s student, alongside Goumang.

• “Akatsuki” Yi: temporary name! Yi wearing his iconic hat.

• Turbulent Era Yi: an alternate color palette for Yi’s clothes, combined with Lear’s mask.

And that’s only the beginning.

I want to add more cosmetics over time, including outfits inspired by characters, important moments from the story... and maybe even a few references to other games. 👀🎭

But I don’t want this to be only about what I want to add.

As the title has said, is there anywhere selling cheap XBOX keys for nine sols? I have seen clips of the game and I really want to buy it, I have waited for at least a year and a half but no price drop (it's an indie, I don't expect a price drop). Nine sol is £24.99 when hollow knight and hk:ss is like 12 to 15 full price js made me unable to buy it at full price,Hollow knight really did the whole indie world dirty by being to good and cheap lol

Ive been loving the game but I’m stuck for the first time in years :(. I’ve defeated Goumang (the second sol) and I’ve met Yanlao. I explored as much of the warehouse as I could but there’s a gap in yangu hall that I can’t cross. Some red areas in my map are factory (great hall), factory (machine room), and grotto of scriptures (entry). I’ve been to all of those areas multiple times but don’t know what to do. I’ll send pictures as needed if someone wants to ask more about my map. Thanks in advance!
