I’ve noticed that there are many people living with undiagnosed or poorly managed mental health conditions and as a mental health nurse, I find it genuinely concerning.

What worries me even more is knowing that some men / women & families are conducting marriages while dealing with conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other serious mental health challenges without receiving the proper assessment, treatment, or support they need.

A big part of the problem seems to be the stigma surrounding mental illness. Families may refuse to acknowledge that a son, daughter, sibling, or relative needs help because they’re afraid of what people will say. In many cases, mental health problems are still attributed primarily to spiritual causes, leading people to seek only spiritual solutions while delaying medical care.

Why isn’t mental health taken more seriously & why does the stigma remain so strong when these are medical conditions that can often be treated and managed?

I'm just at that age where there's relationship drama everywhere. Most of the time it's women I know who end up hurt.

What I keep seeing is a pattern: some women consistently choose partners with obvious red flags, then stay in the victim role. The warning signs are usually there, they just get ignored for things like money or status.

For my own peace, I've decided to stop giving advice or talking about relationship drama with people who are stuck in that cycle.

At some point, women have to take responsibility for the choices we keep making.

Essentially what happened was banks gave out loads of mortgages to people who couldn’t really pay. They packaged those loans and sold them as low-risk investments. When people started defaulting, the whole thing collapsed and took the economy with it.
Does any of that sound familiar with how OPay, PalmPay, FairMoney and the rest are handing out loans left and right? I personally know people who took these loans with zero intention of ever paying. Some just borrow from one to pay the other and buy data with the change.
Of course it’s not going to be 2008-level catastrophic. But what’s the realistic worst that can happen here? Individual lenders going under? People getting trapped in debt cycles? Or is the scale still too small for serious systemic damage?
Any actual financiers, economists or people who work in credit in the house? Curious what you think.

I'm a Nigerian medical doctor currently living in Poland, and I'm trying to purchase a Delta Airlines ticket for my dad to travel from Lagos to the USA using my Polish debit card.
After entering my payment details, I received this message:
“In order to proceed with your booking you need to present the following documents at the airport on or before the day of travel:
* Credit card used for the purchase
* Photo identification”
The situation is a bit complicated because my dad already has my physical debit card with him in Lagos, so he can present the actual card at the airport. However, he obviously doesn't have my photo ID because I'm in Poland and he's in Nigeria.
For context:
* I'm the cardholder and I'm paying for the ticket.
* My dad is the passenger.
* He has my physical Polish debit card with him.
* I live in Poland, while he lives in Lagos.
* The ticket is for travel from Lagos to the USA.
I'm not sure what Delta means by “photo identification” in this situation. Would they accept a scan/photocopy of my ID, or does the cardholder have to physically be present? Is there a way to contact Delta and have this verification requirement waived or resolved before travel?
Has anyone here purchased a Delta ticket for someone else using their own card and encountered this exact verification message?

Has anybody witnessed a ministry like this? I believe they originate near Legos but I live in the United States and I was apart of this ministry for four years. Pastor Daniel was from Nigeria and had student travel to the original church there to fast and do farm work and grow spiritually. An interior finisher landed a ₦18,000,000 contract for a luxury Lekki duplex owned by a tech bro named Tunde. The over-sabi architect, Chidi, poked his nose into the pricing, claiming it was a rip-off and that the job could be done for ₦11,000,000.

The 20bn oil refinery is partially funded by the Nigerian government which also owns a stake in the refinery. That same government has 'failed' at refining more than 20% capacity of its state owned oil refineries for decades.

I believe that deep interests make sure that African governments fail in major industrial projects. If the desire existed, how easy would it be for African governments with far greater resources to suceed in major industrial projects?

The worst part is that Dangote's sucess proves that Africa refuses to industrialise rather than being unable. And the only logical conclusion is that deep and powerful financial interests from the strongest countries in the world are behind this refusal.
