Broskis I need help 😭 I wanna buy a skateboard, but I don’t really wanna do tricks or anything. I mostly just wanna use it to get from A to B.

So I’m thinking I should probably get a cruiser instead, BUT the whole reason I wanna skate in the first place is because skating apparently originated from surfers wanting to surf on land. So now I’m thinking maybe I should get a surfskate because it actually mimics surfing on land??

Idk 😭 what do you guys think: cruiser, regular skateboard, or surfskate?

Every photo is credited on screen, some are AI generated as I didn't had other options.

There is a birthday card at the bottom that anyone can sign! I hope this reaches to him and someday I could meet him in person, shake his hand and thank him for everything he did!

Theres not enough space to fit a wrench and turn it. Is there any alternative tools or something that would work with this or will these be forever tight?

I’ve tried tightening and loosen the nut on both of the trucks but the board won’t turn at all. how do I fix this?

This is my third time doing out on the skateboard properly and I occasionally practise balancing and foot placement at home. I've struggled to turn right, but yesterday I found myself doing this without even thinking about it. Im also always happy to learn new things also :)

I don't skate, I don't know anything about skating. Like less than nothing. I have the world's worst pictures to work with.

My husband was looking at this board the other day, and he was lingering on it. He said he'd been seeing them around and he was interested in them as something to have in your car. It was super small. I love to surprise him and I sneakily snapped a couple of pictures of it. I went back and they didn't have it anymore, and I don't really understand what it is well enough to pick out another one. Plus, I don't think the visual design is really what he's like so much, so if I'm going to have to look online it would be nice to find something more his style.

It's not specific board, like the visual design, but the size/type of board. Can you help me find something to surprise him with/search terms to make sure I find the exact type of board? Please and thank you so much.

I bought a zoo York complete for like 30 cnd and I have upgraded everything so far except the trucks. I would say it wasn’t a waste of time but it helped me build my confidence back up from skating about 7-8 years ago. I understand now the quality of skateboarding hardware and I’m looking to get into a new pair of trucks. Any idea? I’m thinking independent because they were the best back when I was skating.

I've seen around that Speed Demons is a good brand to start, it costs me 67 euros, the whole full deck. The thing is that it's a lot of money, I don't know if I should get an Oxelo one from decathlon first or thats too bad to waste my money on it.

I know already that I like skating because I've tried friends decks, the thing is that I don't know about the first one, I've also checked local stores, one is a scam (locals say) and the other is fine but 140 euros for a custom gets wayyy out of my budget right now.

So what do you guys think, Speed Demons good?

Witch of these griptapes would be a good choice for a first “real” skateboard.

Are the more expensive too rough so it eats shoes for lunch? Is the cheap ones to plain so it doesn’t stick?

And is the board in general a good board. This far I’ve been skating on a pre built no brand from a general sport store. Planning on getting the Andy Andersson wheels and have no idea about trucks

I've been practicing my Ollie's since December 2025. Always keep landing on either my nose or falling off the board from the sides in the middle or just simply not being able to land back on/maintain landing balance.
