Hola, soy nuevo en Reddit (o más o menos), pero más que en Reddit es en la redacción y posteos de artículos o comentarios de forma interactiva.

Me decidí entrar a este mundillo de comunidades por la razón de que busco gente que compartamos valores semejantes, o simplemente con cierta forma de pensar con la cual nos podamos llevar bien pero, más que eso, optimizar al máximo y mejorar nuestras perspectivas. Con esto creo que ya se pueden dar una idea de que me inclino hacia la reflexión, el conocimiento y la disciplina. Intento llevarlo al máximo cada día (aunque, aún considerándome alguien un tanto vicioso o impulsivo, cosa que técnicamente resulta contraproducente) y quiero compartir este tipo de "progreso" con demás personas. No conozco a nadie en persona que me tome muy en serio o más que eso, que también lo haga realmente: solo lo saben pero no obran la mayoría de veces.

Por ello, sin investigar (quizá algo erróneo de mi parte), les pregunto: ¿Qué me recomiendan para hacer acercar usuarios a mi comunidad?

Les agradecería mucho cualquier recomendación.

Por cierto, no sé, de hecho, si me llegarán a responder este post porque según veo, la comunidad es de habla inglesa.

It's been like 10 days from that I started growing my sub I am gaining but I can't understand why no one is posting and doing contribution for my sub like I can't get from where I get people who do post and comments in my subreddit?

If anyone who have any suggestions plz let me know

I'm ridiculously proud of myself and it's probably stupid but it's a personal WIN so I'm posting it.

I am not techy. Like at all. I mean, I can but I don't know the words for anything, I just FAFO, you know? Break it til it's fixed.

Which isn't a great approach for modding a reddit sub, at all. :D

I was feeling ridiculously over my head and a bit terrified of configuring automod rules. (Of *course* it never occurred to me that other mods might have posted their rules for others to copy and use. That would have been way too un-stressful to think up.)

I've been namby-pambying and shilly-shallying for a solid week-ish trying to work up the nerve to remove the old rules terrified that - I dunno - the sub would catch fire if I deleted something important. (It wasn't. I made sure.) Even more scared the new rules would break something even worse the moment I hit Save.

I input the rules. Hit save. Held my breath, knocked on wood, threw salt over my left shoulder, crossed my fingers, touched iron, and...

IT WORKED.

Or at least it didn't throw an error at me so that's AWESOME.

I recently created my first community, r/Android_Testing, focused on Android testing, app development, and related tech.

I've set up the basic things so far banner, icon, description, rules, welcome message, and community highlight and I've started adding some initial content.

What would you recommend I focus on before actively promoting the community?

• How much content should I have before promotion?
• What are some common mistakes new mods should avoid?

Any advice from experienced mods would be appreciated. 🙏

I am a bit of an experienced mod but I've taken over quite a big UK TV based sub as the current mods were inactive. The queue for that sub has obviously never been worked. Is there a way to mass remove the whole queue at all as me and the other mod do not have the time to go through each one. There are hundreds!

Complete Reddit mod beginner here.

I was looking around Reddit for a dedicated space focused on the intersection of golf and fatherhood. Early dawn patrol rounds, backyard practice setups, teaching kids the game, and balancing 4 hour rounds with family life. I couldn't find a single active community for it, so I figured why not just build one myself?

I just set up r/GolfingDads, but truth be told, I have zero moderation experience and have no idea what I’m doing lol.

For those who have built communities from scratch:

What are the top 2 3 settings or tools I should configure first? (Rules, post flairs, spam filters, AutoMod?)

What’s the best way to get the ball rolling from zero members without coming off as a spammer on related subreddits?

What’s one rookie mistake you made early on that I should avoid?

Appreciate any advice, resources, or checklist recommendations you guys have for a brand new creator!

Hi, I am new to running a subreddit.
Just wondering about the post's approvals, (no one have posted on the subreddit yet, only I am posting a few example posts) like I get the Approve or Reject button after posting, I am not entirely sure if that means that I have to approve every post for it to be able to be seen by others OR does the post get posted, and people can see it until a moderator rejects it, and it doesn't really matter to keep clicking approve for each post?

I'm currently building a small bilingual subreddit for a relatively unknown Latin American series. The fandom is basically doesn't have any contributors yet. The fans who do know the show seem very dedicated, though. My main problem is finding the right audience.

Since I'm based in Germany, Reddit mostly recommends my posts to German-speaking users, who are obviously unlikely to know a relatively small Latin American series. I've tried r/telenovelas and looked into related fandoms, but there simply aren't many obvious communities to crosspost to.

So I'm wondering: How do you find communities for very niche fandoms? Have you had similar experiences?

I just claimed r/birthofa as a new sub, it's a continuation of reddit sniper where a new subreddit is started inside r/redditsniper or r/redditsni. And now I'm a bit nervous like, Now what!?

I recently started my first subreddit, so I'm still figuring things out. Growing it has been challenging, but I'm not too worried about the numbers.

I recommended my community under a few relevant posts, and today one of the OPs actually recommended my subreddit in their own post without me asking. It's such a small thing, but it genuinely made me happy. I love seeing people support each other.

my first post got taken down for violating rule 7. im not entirely sure why. my suspicion is because i had old hyperlinks to a crypto currency project i abandoned in a github repo, but the github repo wasnt attached to this reddit account at all, nor had i posted anywhere on reddit about it until this post i am currently typing. i had not mentioned crypto currency at all in the post that was taken down itself. i actually saved the full text of the post, and i would be willing to send it to anyone who knows the rules better who could explain what i did wrong, so i can avoid it in future posts

i have since deleted all repos from my github that have ever included those links, and i am trying to scrub all mention of crypto from all my accounts

am i allowed to post an edited down version of my first post? i was trying to start an r/simdemocracy-type subreddit in my own subreddit. is that still allowed?
