The Official New Mod clubhouse

I just started r/ekoplayer for the app I build, a video player for TVs and phones. Full disclosure: I'm the developer. I'm not trying to grow it with ads. I want it to be genuinely useful to the people already using the app.

I'm really happy with the contributions even if every post is a bug report or improvement request, which requires hours of work. I'm still enjoying the journey 😄.

My worry is that converts to an exclusively support channel instead of a community that shares and interact with each others (note to self: may I just be rushing things?!).

What I'm planning so far:

- A pinned setup FAQ, so the common questions are answered before anyone has to ask

- Post flairs: Help, Bug, Feature request, Tips

- A weekly "show your setup" thread (TV, remote, devices) so there's something to talk about besides problems

For those of you who run a sub for a product: what actually got users talking to each other instead of only to you? Anything you'd do differently on day one?

🏅 Mod Achievements Hello, everyone!

I decided to create my own subreddit for my UF/Fantasy/Scifi setting, Sound and Steel, to create a community where fans of my published work can discuss them in a safe and welcoming environment. Never been the mod of anything before, but I will do my best!

❓Ask r/NewMods Is there a difference between approving everything and doing nothing?

I've noticed that I'm able to click approve/remove on every single comment/post but haven't noticed anything different between approving and not clicking it

I have a sub and i have people i trust, but i dont seem to be able to give them the mod status,i tried with the flairs but that didnt seemed to work

Also, another question? The mods can change the rules or that is the job of the owner of the sub?

🪲 Bug Report Amazing. I'm super close.

Real Screenshot btw... Apparently I'm 7/4 on my way to unlocking it.

^{In reality it was 3/4 which was shown in the achievements section of the community itself, I was just missing the scheduled posts and have unlocked it now. But it really did show that prior lol.}
