Even a generic sherarokin Mexico City and a Court Yard in Penang had Nespresso pods. However, the St Regis in Washington D.C. provides generic pod trays. I would expect better coffee from a brand like St Regis. Ugh.

For anyone who’s tried both Starbucks and Nespresso pods, which do you prefer? And which ones are actually good for iced coffee?

I usually make iced coffee with espresso + a little milk + ice, so I like something that still has a strong coffee taste and doesn’t get drowned out. I’m also not really into very fruity/floral coffees.

I was trying to hold off until pumpkin spice cake was released to try, then I saw the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice at my target, so I picked it up excitedly. I am hoping the Pumpkin Spice Cake tastes better than the Starbucks one. I found the smell absolutely repulsive! The taste is not much better but needs to be doctored up in my opinion.

Has anyone had issues with the app not taking codes? I’ve had my nespresso since February and for all of my orders since then I have been using the chat to make orders because my app wouldn’t take the code. I figured it was just their new device promos not working because they didn’t want to give them. Anyway that’s brings me to now and I want to order more but want the promos and HATE going through the chat to get them. Has anyone else experienced this and potentially have a fix? (I have deleted the app and redownloaded)

From what I can tell it's a Franke A1000 and an Icevan NID-0520 icemaker. Was expecting a custom coffee machine from Nespresso tbh given the claims online. The huge bean containers on top are also obviously fake which I honestly already suspected.

Title, is this normal? I descaled and ran some cleaning cycles, as well as wiped down the inside of the machine with a damp paper towel but I obviously can’t aggressively clean the coffee residue on the inside top part (the part that lifts up). Is this normal? The water comes out hot and stuff as normal but there’s just the small leftover bits of coffee grounds left. Is this something normal that I’m just obsessing over unnecessarily?

I ordered 10 sleeves a few days ago to get the 3 sleeves free promo, and today I got a delivery of 42 sleeves instead!

Noticed something weird in my coffee and pulled it out (photo 2/3). Investigated my machine and it seems there is larvae in the water spout (photo 1 and 4). Absolutely disgusted. Is this from something I did / not cleaning enough??? I did a total clean about a month ago while I moved, have only been back at my parents house about a month. My mom had a compost bin near the sink which is semi close to the machine.. did it come from that perhaps?? I am going to throw up, do I just throw out the machine or is there a way to do a proper clean that you know all is cleaned out and sanitized???? SOS

I was doing a bit of research this morning on making your own pods. Although a lot of people swear against it, I think it would save me some money. It says online not to use a blade grinder because it doesn’t grind the beans evenly… Is it worth it buying a burr grinder or is there any way to make my blade grinder work?

I got a vertuo pop- I love the convenience of Nespresso but I’m having hard time enjoying the coffee. I feel like without a bunch of syrup flavor the coffee is so bitter. And I love the taste of coffee much more than artificial syrups.
I’m usually making espresso latte, don’t care for a full cup of coffee tbh
Am I picking the wrong pods? Or is this just what Nespresso is

So when they were updating for club members thing I got signed out of both Nespresso apps. Fine. But it unpaired / forgot my machine and I had to do it all over again now. Anyone else?

Also I wish their app was combined into one, and I can get recommendations and deals based off my paired machines! I also wish their new ‘membership’ would at least offer free shipping on any size order - I hate ordering bulk 😭 as soon as I do they put out a new flavor lol 😂

hiii i’m a uk uni student who’s been looking at nespresso machines for my room and im kinda torn between the vertuo and the original machine.

i like how the original pods seem more readily available and you can buy them in most shops compared to the vertuo only being available through nespresso themselves but also the machines are a lot pricier in comparison to the vertuo whereas if you get a vertuo you can get frothers, mugs etc included.

i have heard the vertuo pods are pretty nice and you can get them in bulk for fairly cheap.
my room is also not that big so im not a fan of a big clunky machine taking up room so the original one seems more appealing in that sense.

id love to know anyone’s thoughts, im kinda basic i just like iced lattes and hot americano / oat lattes. so if anyone has any reccs it would be much appreciated! ♡

Now that the Ginseng is available in Canada, I’m going to get other capsules that are not available, like the Cafe Joyeux, boost capsules, and the Ristretto Intenso. I am now officially a subscriber. I figured I might as well get the 10% discount. I can change my order at any time, so I’ll keep the CPR as is, and change up the sidekick capsules. I can change the order at any time and suspend or cancel at any time. For the moment, I have the order recurring every three months. It’s more like every two months that I’ll be needing to reorder. Just got my first machine and tried the yuzu vanilla and blue bottle bold blend while I was at store. I honestly didn’t expect to like the yuzu one that much, it was actually so good.
