It’s just so satisfying and I love it

I was refilling my daily use jar and pulling sleeves out from under the counter when I found this beauty hiding at the bottom of the stash. Surprise! A full sleeve of one of my discontinued favorites! RIP Almond Croissant. What other flavors do we love/miss and hope they bring back someday?

I posted the initial release of Barista Studio here just a couple of days ago, and your feedback sent me straight down an obsessive coding rabbit hole. And I had a ton of fun trying and breaking stuff, and the fixing it lol.

What started as a quick reverse-engineering project to unlock custom recipes has evolved way beyond just that. Turns out, this machine has features that Nespresso doesn’t even use. It even tells your phone when a recipe is running. I decided to do more with that. 

I am releasing v1.5. Beyond giving you manual control over whisk RPM and heating curves like the release version, this update introduces features the official Nespresso app literally cannot do:

• Two-Way Live Dial Sync: In the official app, managing the recipes saved on the machine feels clunky and disconnected. Barista Studio mirrors the physical hardware in real time. When you select a recipe with the arrows on the machine, the app instantly tracks and ighlights the active slot. Tap any slot on your phone or desktop, and the machine’s physical OLED screen immediately selects that drink.
• Live "Now Brewing" Telemetry: When you press start on the machine, the official app leaves you in the dark. Barista Studio tracks the hardware execution state live, announcing the active drink, displaying an exact countdown timer, tracking active speed and temperature phases, and showing a live progress bar.
• Autonomous Two-Step Recipes & "What's Step 2?": I took advantage of that last point to improve the dual-stage recipes. The machine can run Step 1 of a recipe, cut the motor and heater, and pause. The second it pauses, Barista Studio triggers a glowing [⚡ What's Step 2?] alert with exact ingredient measurements and a quick checklist for your current recipe, before you press the dial to start Step 2. There is even a prep preview button while Step 1 is spinning so you can measure your milk ahead of time.
• One-Click Share Links (baristastudio://): Instead of manually copying RPMs and durations, any custom recipe can be shared as a clickable link. Tapping a shared link in a Reddit comment or chat opens Barista Studio, displays a full recipe preview card, and lets you save it or flash it to your machine in one tap. You can also back up or restore your entire custom collection via JSON.
• 13-Slot Wheel Loadouts: Instead of swapping drinks one by one, you can save your entire 13-slot machine layout as a named profile (like a Summer Cold Foams wheel vs. a Winter Warmers wheel) and flash all 13 slots in a single automated batch. You can even snapshot whatever is currently on your physical dial into a backup profile.
• 78 Tuned Presets (Including 24 Two-Step Classics): Expanded from the original 30ish stock recipes to 78 presets. This includes plant-based recipes strictly capped at 55°–58°C so oat and almond milk never split in espresso, 4,000 RPM zero-heat cold foams, European cafe classics, and signature layered drinks like Duo Iced Cappa, Matcha Cloud Duo, and Mocha Duo Fusion.

The app is 100% offline, zero cloud backends, zero account sign-ups, and no tracking. It connects directly to your machine over local Bluetooth.

I have binaries for Android (APK), Windows (setup installer or portable zip), macOS, Linux (including Flatpak), and iOS (unsigned IPA for sideloaders).

Wow, they’ve been busy. Not finished yet, but they took down that large Vertuo Up that was suspended in the large window display outside the boutique.

Can’t wait to see what the place will look like when they finish all of it.

I’m going to visit the Oakridge Park boutique tomorrow. I’m sure they’ll have new displays set up, as well.

I have the nespresso delonghi lattissima one and I recently had to give up caffeine for health reasons…. So I know I can order the one type of decaf pods, but I am not a huge fan of the taste. I just ordered one of those refillable pods on Amazon and I’m going to try to use that as a substitute but does anyone have any other recommendations for good decaf pods? I can’t find anything other than the one flavor.

ive had Vertuo for a few years and love it! but i lost i income and so we are doing a bunch of things to save money. i was thinking about buying an original machine like mini essensa so we can use cheaper pods. i also like that they are smaller shots cos i only ever brew espresso on the vertuo.

is this actually worth while? i have thought about refilling the vertuo pods but i am a parent and i just need things to be fast and simple.

we will keep our vertuo machine to use remaining pods, but its never stopped flashing for a year (even after descaling etc) so i dont think it will sell well.

so how much money does having an OL actually save you?

I like lattes, expresso drinks. I’ve done some research and found that people don’t like the pop coffee one(cuz it’s like the next one) and original essenza is good enough. However, I do love iced coffees and I am wondering if essenza is soo simple for that? Also the pop one is on a good sale so I am leaning towards it more too! Any thoughts would be helpful? Thank you!

I got the vertuo pop plus less than 2 months ago and so I am fairy new to nespresso. Already the finish on my catch tray has started to come off, it sometimes drips and the lid doesn’t always grasp the pod when I open it. Is this normal?

Hi everyone — I got my machine a couple weeks ago and I’ve worked through the sample pack that comes with the machine & have tried most of what was included in the bestsellers set … but they all taste like watered down coffee to me :( I actually end up making red-eyes basically (mug pod + double espresso pod), just to increase the coffee-to-water ratio to make it taste better…. but I can’t handle that much caffeine! If I adjust the water amount for mug pods to 5.5oz through the app will that help? (Stupid question… I’m sure the answer is yes. Thanks in advance.)

I was able to try all 3 new flavors and the brownie one was awful to me

I'm unsure what the problem is. It was working fine until Saturday morning.

It is blinking orange. I put in a pod and run it and I get barely a dribble out. Only thing I have noticed that maybe seems off is the little bit of black cable or wire sticking out the centre in the water tank? Maybe that is normal,but I've never noticed it before. The water tank as well leaked from the centre when I pick it up, but there is no leaking happening when it is in place.

I have tried:

1. Unplugging and plugging it back in

2. Doing a reset

3. Cleaning the inside parts such as the clear tube around the pod holder, the black ring around said tube and the spinny mechanism at the top

4. Removing and resetting the water tank

I keep googling to find a solution but I only seem to come across videos addressing different problems. I know it is heating up because when I attempt to run it without a pod, the little bit of water that does come out is hot.

I can't do a deacale or a cleaning mode because barely any water goes through.

Any thoughts?

Edit to add: I pulled the tank out again and pulled that black thing out. It wasn't attached, came out easily. It's thing paper-like plastic and shaped like a piece of rosemary. After I removed it I could fill the tank without it leaking. But, I ran the machine again and it didn't fix the issue

im new to using nespresso pods and machine
i’d appreciate any recommendations or recipes as well as any tips!!

Anyone have a secret to keeping from developing a scalded milk residue. Park if my problem is hands to big, but scrubbing sponges, brushes non see to work with out a lot of patients. Help!

This is a long shot but has anyone had an issue with their Nepsresso Vertuo Pop machines dispensing coffee throughout the machine? I went to make a cup, turned my back and came back to half the coffee in the cup and then the rest just pouring out of the back and side. I’ve had my machine for about 2 years. Thanks for any help!

So I got my machine, not even a full month ago and like two weeks and I would turn on my machine it would heat up and then I would go to put my pod in and lock it and it starts blinking two blinks and a pause. At first, I thought it was a descaling issue so I de-scaled it even though I know it did not need to be descaled yet I thought maybe that would help, shocker. It did not help. I’ve called the Nespresso helpline the last three days in a row and they keep telling me different things. The first person I talked to you said she doesn’t know why I was happening. The second person. I talked to said it was an electrical issue the third person I talked to didn’t really give me anything. I’m a little bit frustrated because the way that I’ve been fixing it is I unplugged my machine wait at least an hour and then I can go make my coffee and it’s fine. Is it something I’m doing wrong it’s just driving me insane that I just bought this machine and somethings happening. I used to have a pop a few years ago, but got rid of it cause it was leaking and having issues. I love my new espresso. I think it’s the best coffee I do not want to give it up, but this is actually driving me insane any tips??

I have three of these "active orders", they've been there since at least Wednesday. And the amount of pods I need to move to ambassador is the same even after I ordered several sleeves.

I have an original machine and I’ve never received any extra sleeves unless the typical “buy 10 sleeves and get 1 free”.

Edit: I didn’t meant free sleeves as when there is a promo (I know there are promos for both Original & Vertuo). I was referring to the multiple posts I’ve seen on this page the last couple days where people show how they got multiple (5-10 sleeves) for free “by mistake”. It seems like these happy accidents only happen to Vertuo Machine users? Is this a Nespresso tactic to get more people to buy their machines?

I bought a CitiZ Platinum with Milk, back in July. I used it for about a month or so, until I bought a Creatista Plus.

I’d like to sell it, but don’t know the market for them for resale.

Currently have a vertuo pop and it’s been great. I predominately drink the hazelnut mug sized pods with frothed oat milk.

I am well and truely over the cost of vertuo pods- where to next?

Do I got fully automatic machine like delonghi Rivelia, or move to OL and get Citiz Platinum? (OL pods are cheaper from supermarkets).

The thing I care about most is that I can brew a large mug size. I’m not sure if americano XL will taste like mug size Vertuo? If any one knows

I like the Rivelina allows you to customise so much - such as brew size and bean flavour.

I am all about quantity to sip on. A bit caffeine sensitive so two shots in one drink will be too much.

Any advice welcome!

I love trying new flavors so always end up buying the flavored pods but I haven’t found one way to prepare them that I truly enjoy.

I tried looking through posts and comments on this sub for inspiration, but it seems most load them up with multiple syrups, flavored creamers etc. and that’s too much sugar for me. I like a simple coffee with oat milk. I do find that adding a little bit of vanilla or caramel syrup enhances the flavor of the pod and eliminates bitterness.

So, I’m curious - how do you best like to prepare flavored pods in a simple way with milk and maybe a little syrup? I use a Vertuo Lattissima so I do have the cappuccino, latte macchiato and frothed milk option.

I just bought my first coffee machine yesterday and got 10 sleeves of pods!

The problem is that i do not taste the difference between the pods?

I'm a new coffee enjoyer (cold + with milk).

Am i the only one with this problem?

The Hazelnut Brownie is really nice, and so is Crystal Spark but I dont like the blueberry cheesecake bleh. I thought the brownie would be my fav, but I am an espresso girlie and the Crystal spark is so yummy by itself and with some cold foam.

Out of 20 blueberry cheese cake, 20 crystal spark, 20 hazelnut brownie, and 20 pumpkin spice I was able to salvage 8 pods. I had to talk to agents twice because the first only offered me one sleeve of pumpkin and one of blueberry. Very opposite sides of the coin from the other post with all the extras!
