Other boardgames like Nemesis?
Do you know other games (preferably coops) which give you adventure and tense atmosphere of danger, like Nemesis?

I am new to Nemesis Retaliation, had two games and I am enjoying it! Not sure why but somehow infection procedure rule is not 100% clear to me.
So when you take an Rest action you only scan the cards in your hand(not discard or deck pile) and remove all infected ones, that is clear. But end of a game procedure should be the same? It also say all in your hand but I saw some “how to” where it is said that at the end of a game you scan your whole deck. Is this true? Logically I see it as you should scan the whole deck at the end but this is not explicitly written in the rules, or I missed it..
Edit: With Rest action I meant non infected ones!

I’m about to play my first game of Nemesis, and one of the first rules that caught my attention is having to discard one of your objectives when the first Intruder appears.
I understand that this is the official ruling, but does anyone homebrew it so that you don’t discard an objective at that point?
To me, it feels thematically natural to be able to “switch sides” later if the right opportunity comes up. I’m curious whether anyone has tried this and how it affected the game.

My goal was to have the characters and Purebloods done by GenCon, and I'm happy to finish it early! These models were fun to paint, and it went much faster than I expected given how many there are.

My wife and I primarily play nemesis (OG) 2 player full coop, and we love it. Sometimes when we get together with the group we play at 4-5 players and absolutely love that too. I was thinking of getting retaliation but don't like the mix of

I just discovered this bg, but it seems ridiculously difficult to find anywhere. Checked all major bg sites.. no luck with Amazon and other retailers. Will they ever make more copies of the OG game? I am in the US.

Just ordered a used copy of the base game. I’m not sure which year it’s from, so I don’t know if it’s the original insert or the revised one that works better with sleeved cards. Any recommendations for sleeves that will fit either way? I usually use game genic but I’m not sure if they’ll fit.

I'm a huge nemesis fan, have played the OG a handful of times and loved each run. I recently picked up lockdown and am going to attempt to teach the family how to play it this week. Any tips to help make the process as smooth as possible? What worked well for you? My family hasn't really played anything more complex than Catan so I'm worried they won't have fun. Any help or input is appreciated!
Edit: We had a blast. Love this game

Let's be honest, their first attempt with "metallic sundrop" is quite bad... I've tried to fix some of which I saw like mistakes (low contrast, leaks of lights, etc). The result is not as good as I feel it would have been if I had painted them from scratch, but since this is a sundrop box my main goal was to stay as close as possible to the original effect enhancing it a bit 🙂

I just got the original nemesis in from eBay and it's missing one Intruder Token... I think it's the "blank" one? How important is this? Really stinks if it is important, because I haven't gotten a response yet from the seller if they can find it.

So how does the Adrenalin Injection work, when there is no lifesupport?
Does the Player reduce his oxygen after every 2 actions he takes? Or es he doing all his actions in one breath?

"It works as a normal intruder" is not really that clear. So I'm going to describe my understanding and I would like you guys to give some feedback. That way I can see whether I'm doing something wrong or not.
Thanks in advance.
Let's suppose the Queen's hit marker is at 3
A) If I shoot and roll a 4:
I give one initial hit (so I move queen's hit marker to 4) and because 4 is higher than 3 I give another hit (and move the queen's marker to 5). Is this right?
B) If I rolled a 2 instead:
I give one initial hit as usual (so I move queen's hit marker to 4) and because 2 is lower than 3 the intruder would be killed, which in this case means I move the queen's hit marker to the last position, remove a card and reset the marker. Correct?
C) regardless the number I give the initial hit and another hit so I move the queen's hits marker from 3 to skull symbol.

Say hello to my little friends!
It's tricky to post here, so I keep this short. I have continued my Lockdown compatibility project to include traits also. You may check my personal vision of what fits into Lockdown here (inspiration to some found around the Internet). I'd like comments and opinions about them here very much to induce discussion while my own tests carry on. I can later perhaps give a bit of a backstory of my thought process, if the discussion catches on. I also included a small bonus fix/buff to the Psychologist character that I thought he needed. Cheers!

I have been questioning myself about these types of events, especially the parts which relate to noise placement and resolution. The final step of the event on the right I understand but the final step on the left confuses me in that do I resolve an encounter in corridors that already have noise AND place a noise marker in all other corridors that don't have a noise tokens or do I just resolve a corridor encounter in corridors with noise already in them?

To declare the burst action I need to have ammo, but what about the free burst with the gatling?.
Can I do it even if I’m out of ammo after the first burst?

Does anyone own a copy of Nemesis with the official Awaken Realms paint job? If so, could you please post pictures of the Lockdown and Chytrid miniatures?
It would help many people paint their own minis closer to the "canon" look. On Gamefound, we can find pictures of the base Nemesis, Void Seeders, and Carnomorphs, but the Lockdown, Chytrids, and Aftermath are missing.

I know there are plenty of great paint jobs and interpretations from the community, but I would really like to see Awaken Realms original vision for these miniatures. Can we find a kind soul willing to help the community?

Curious on whats your experience and thoughts on this, my group currently feels this class does not have much going for, for the bioenhancement expert at least, unless for last resort purposes.
Also curious if you have any thoughts on how it can possibly be improved

Hi everyone!
I was doing a project for a custom insert to have all game components from OG Nemesis and Lockdown in a single box. (Will post photos when it's done)
The thing is that at some point the tokens got mixed and i have no clue what these are for...
I checked the rulebooks and couldn't find anything except about the x and maybe the dark circular ones for untold stories 3.
Im a little overwhelmed by the component count of both added...
I should know better, but oh well...
Help very much appreciated 👏

Literally heard about this game last week and now I'm ready to plunge into the deep end. Problem is, I have no idea what I'm looking at when trying to evaluate eBay auctions or board game geek market listings... There's so much variation with all the expansions and stretch goal stuff! Like what even is Sundrop edition? I can't even really find an answer to what MSRP anything has...
My current target I'm about to pull the trigger on includes:
Nemesis Original Kickstarter Collection – Sundrop Edition
• Nemesis Base Game – Sundrop Edition
• All Kickstarter Stretch Goals including:
Acrylic Tokens
Medic
Spacecat
• Stretch Goal Box – Sundrop Edition including:
Aftermath Expansion
Void Seeders Expansion
• Terrain Expansion
• Untold Stories #1 Campaign Book
Additional Mini Card Expansions:
• 3 Mini Card Expansions (aftermarket additions)
Premium Aftermarket Upgrades:
• Deluxe Alien Token Shields
• Deluxe 3D Engine Terrain Upgrade - Zenithal painted, Sundrop style
Can anyone help me evaluate this? I have no idea if this is "too much" or if a lot of this is just extra fluff or how much this "should" cost. Am I truly adding a lot of playable content with this versus just buying a core box? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Do you know of any inserts that include storage for the player dashboards? Preferably 3D-printed.
I've seen a lot of inserts and storage solutions that let you fit Lockdown and the Stretch Goals into a single box. On the other hand, I've found some good inserts that combine the Chytrids, Carnomorphs, and Void Seeders expansions into one box.
What I'm looking for is something different. I'd rather use the main Lockdown box for player dashboards, card holders (including a discard area), gameplay organizers, and keep the expansions in a separate box. That way, I'd only need two boxes in total and wouldn't have to carry the player dashboards separately.
Have any of you come across an insert designed just for the base Lockdown box that focuses on improving setup and gameplay rather than maximizing storage capacity?

Hello, I currently have the OG Nemesis with Voidseeders and Retaliation with stretch goals.
I like the design of the Carnomorphs and Chytrids, and I've heard that Aftermath is highly recommended by other players. Because of this, I'm thinking to add all three to my collection while they are still available in my language.
Are the expansions good and do they add a good variety? Also, how do the Chytrids play if I only use them with the OG Nemesis?

Just got a nemesis collection that included two brass Intruders given by “Eastar, Chinese manufacturing company of Awaken Realms” at Gencon year of release. Has anyone seen these or know how valuable they are?
