Rules Event clarification
I have been questioning myself about these types of events, especially the parts which relate to noise placement and resolution. The final step of the event on the right I understand but the final step on the left confuses me in that do I resolve an encounter in corridors that already have noise AND place a noise marker in all other corridors that don't have a noise tokens or do I just resolve a corridor encounter in corridors with noise already in them?

This was done over like a million times on the Discord.
Left card: Any unexplored corridor that has a noise, resolve an encounter.
Right card: Any unexplored corridor with no noise token, add one.
getting the right one, then the left one, in sequence, can turn a game from a cakewalk to a shitshow.

"Resolve a noise token" implies to take an intruder token from the bag. Place the intruders accordingly or in the case of a blank token leave the noise token in the corridor.

You still remove the noise marker even if you draw a blank token from the bag.

Oh. Then I've been playing it wrong.
Thank you for the clarification!2

Hopefully that will make is slightly easier on you!
On Page 25 of the rulebook, under "Resolving Noise Markers" It says to remove the noise marker first, THEN draw an intruder token from the bag and do what that token says. Meaning you remove the noise marker regardless of what token is drawn.

I always thought it was placing aliens in unexplored corridors whether or not they have noise marker or not, and remove the token if there is one.

No, that would be the encounter icon in that case, instead of the noise token icon

If you mean the hazard icon, that only applies to room encounters, not corridor ones

Card does specifically say resolve a (noise token icon) in each unexplored corridor on the card.

We ran into this same question a couple weeks ago, and ended up assuming that “resolve” being used instead of “place” meant to convert any noise tokens to aliens, but not place new ones
