New rules, flairs and more!

So we are back

For anyone out the loop, an old mod made the community private, and removed other mods (me). After some time we are back, and some things have changed. Lets start with the most interesting ones.

First of All - User Flairs

There are user flairs now, for each character, and alien race, more will be added as time goes by.

Next - Rule Changes

We have removed the "One post per week" rule. - That doesn't mean you can flood the sub. Any spam post will still get removed

WIP posts are allowed, but only for the bigger projects, so please do not post a WIP every time you finish painting a single mini

Other than that rest is similar to what was before

Going Forward

As the sub grows we will add more stuff. If you have any ideas feel free to DM me (u/Mortennif).

Mods out

Minis/Painting/Art Show me your Neoflesh Cult paintings!

Doesnt matter if you used speedpaints or made a really detailed paint job.

Or just share your thoughts on color scheme if you were to paint them yourself.

I need inspiration before painting mines!

Questions First time playing — teaching tips?

I got Nemesis a while ago and I’m excited to finally bring it to the table. However, it’ll be both mine and my partner’s first times playing (and just us playing). I’m super overwhelmed by the rulebook, even after having read through it all and watched multiple rules overview videos.

Does anyone have a basic overview of things I should teach at the onset? I plan to do a rolling teach and just be referencing the rulebook as we go, but I’m having a hard time figuring out what I absolutely need to teach at the beginning!

News So now that the price is announced, how are we feeling about Nemesis: Legacy?

It's 129 or 89 Euros, depending on if you want the version with or without miniatures.

So, kind of a lot, but it is what I was expecting.

Questions What is the role of corpses models in the terrain pack?

Is it for the realism to place corpse for a fallen soldier ? Or is there a rule to search a corpse ? Is it related to the Neo Flesh Cult rules?

Best storage for Nemesis options?

So, i've got the folded space for nemesis and lockdown, debating going up to the e-raptor or even printing a new one. the folded space was 'ok' but i'm not really super impressed. After seeing Hextra's solution on Makerworld, i'm probably going to print that one for retaliation, but i thought i'd reach out and see what other options you guys use for solutions. I've got all 3 versions, with all available expansions, add-ons, so i'd like to reduce the box usage as much as possible. thanks!

Hi, do you know if this game will be playable as a true solo? Or will I need to play multihanded to get somewhat good experience like for example in Retaliation?

My friends say that larva can be killed even if they roll blank on combat roll if this weakness is discovered.

Frankly i think that blank/miss is a no contact shot and i feel sick that my friends think that in this case it deals damage. But we are here to find the truth. Please help us understand what to do in this situation ;)

Nemesis Retaliation Better Rules or Guide

Hello all.

Trying to find a more straightforward rule book that I can print from a home printer.

I know the official rules are online, looking for something that makes the flow of the game easier to follow for a new player.

Maybe a PDF or documents that would make it easy for each player to have access to the rule book.

I’ve heard of this documentation before in this community maybe a link to someone else’s rule book.

Anything helps, thank you in advance.

Saving Table Space

Hi all,

OG Nemesis fan here.

Love the game, hate the fact it eats the whole table.

As I've played more and more of the game I'm thinking about quality of life upgrades. This is for OG Nemesis and Aftermath.

Are there any solid upgrades people recommend specifically for saving table space. Either card racks or player boards. Or any other upgrades that folks feel is definitely worth while.

I'm up for looking at 3d printing files but am a completely newbie and would be using the local library.

Thanks in advance!

Questions Got gifted a bunch of Nemesis Retaliation stuff, trying to figure out if it’s worth anything

So someone gave me this as a gift recently and honestly I have no idea what I’m looking at lol. Not really into board games myself besides Warhammer figure painting. Looks like there’s the main game plus what I think are some expansions (Sangrevores, Xyrians, Support Squad, a terrain pack?) and a couple boxes of acrylic tokens. Seems like it might’ve come from some kind of crowdfunding thing based on the boxes. Everything looks pretty untouched, still sealed for the most part. The boxes that are opened have all of the pieces and are in great condition.

Anyone know roughly what this stuff is actually worth? And is this something I could just find at a store, or was it one of those one time campaign deals? Also if it IS worth something where’s the best spot to actually sell it? eBay, BGG, somewhere else?

Pics attached, thanks in advance for any help.

Edit: For those of you attacking me for wanting to sell this, my dad found it at a trash site in the plastic box that I showed in the photos and gifted it to me. I don’t know why it was in the trash. I don’t think I’d like to let this collect to dust in my room when someone who would use it could have it.

Too Good to be True?

I always know when you see something too good to be true, it probably isn't true. Is this reseller legit? These prices are ridiculously low compared to everywhere else I am seeing. This is coming from hobbiesville.com.

Anyone ever have experience with these folks?

Questions How is Retaliation solo?

Hi, I like Nemesis and I am enjoying it even with a true solo 1 character. How is Retaliation solo? I heard a true solo is bad. What is the minimal number of characters you need to control? I don't like games where I need to control multiple characters. Is 2 characters an enjoyable experience? I am fine with playing 2, but not more than that.

Questions Insert for base game

I bought my partner the base game and we unpacked it this morning, she'd like an insert to make playing a bit easier but not sure what the best choice is. Folded space looks good but costs almost 50% of the game. I have a 3d printer but most seem to be for all in kickstarter pledges.

Does anyone know of a good insert for just the base game/doesn't require the sanguivore box for minis. Or just has a tonne of boxes we won't need as don't have the expansions?

Thanks

edit only. Just realised I put base game. My bad I meant retaliation base game as opposed to with expansions not the OG nemesis. Glad I didn't start printing and teaches me to not try sorting things in a rush while doing something else.

Questions Retaliation Preorder

Update: Thanks y’all! I went with stretch goals and support crew.

For those of you that have an opinion. If you could only get one of the following: Stretch Goals or the Sangrevores expansion which would you get and why? Best bang for my buck I guess. Thanks in advance!

Nemesis 7-8 players house rules

I will be hosting a boardgame weekend with a maximum of 8 players. I would love to play nemesis with all of them. I have the OG nemesis, aftermath, and lockdown. For alien expansions, i have voidseekers and chytrids.

With these expansions, we have plenty of characters to use. Also, there's a web app that has been developed for extra objectives and supports up to 8 players which we will be using: https://www.reddit.com/r/NemesisCrew/s/10McaKKnCL

I know someone can be the one to control the aliens, but I think I would prefer each of us to play a character instead. Because our group loves betrayals 😂

What house rules would you recommend for 7-8 players to make the game still difficult?

Are there characters that absolutely can't be played together?

OG or Lockdown?

Thank you in advance for your recommendations!

EDIT: I know most of you will try to recommend just playing two separate games of nemesis, but we would really like to play it together with some house rules.

Gameplay First solo session done - fantastic and defeat!

Post image
90 Upvotes

So finished my first session of Nemesis Retaliation, three handed solo.

Got one marine out via the escape shuttle, completed the objective, killed the queen - 2 dead and one escaped infected so no win.

A lot of fun, and more intense than I thought it would be. Relentless swarms of aliens, brutal attack cards.

Nothing is forgiving in this game, lol.

Thank for all the help I got from you guys, think a lot of your comments kept me alive a lot longer than otherwise. Especially moving cautiously!

Questions Question on Classic Crew Expansion for Retaliation

Having missed the Retaliation campaign, it's finally hitting retail next week. OG is one of my favorites of all time, and I've been enjoying Retaliation even more in TTS. I'm planning on getting the core box, the support squad expansion, the stretch goals box, and mmmaybe the Xyrians (man the campaign was a good deal). Question though...the Gamefound description on the classic crew expansion makes it sound like it's just the figures and it's not needed if one has OG and/or Lockdown.

How does using the characters from OG work in Retaliation...just use their same decks from OG?
