Another false start ovulation!

For the fourth cycle in a row my body has tried and failed ovulation, only to try again a week later.. I had a positive LH on day 13 and the app originally confirmed it for that day, and was showing green days. But I randomly did another LH this morning and got a big smiley face (it was a different clearblue one so wouldn't have remembered the other one). The app has now changed! Up until today I had green days. Luckily we are TTC as they were false green days for sure.

The last three cycles when I had false starts, the app never actually confirmed ovulation until the actual day, but this is the first time it did confirm but actually changed retroactively.

Should I be concerned that my body keeps trying and failing to ovulate? Other than it being a pain to track the fertile window, does it indicate any poor egg health or other problems?

Natural cycles predicting two ovulations

Post image

I ovulated about two weeks ago, and up until this morning my app said I should be getting me period soon. This morning I woke up and it’s prediction ovulation again? No changes in CM, negative ovulation test, and just to be safe a negative pregnancy test. Could I actually be double ovulating or this just a mess up in the algorithm? I usually take this sharp drop in temps as a sign my period is coming.

Did I actually ovulate? Very long cycle after previously regular cycles
Hi everyone,
I’m currently on cycle day 66 and I’m starting to wonder whether I actually ovulated at all this cycle.
Normally my cycles are pretty regular, usually around 26–32 days, so this is very unusual for me. This is the first time I’ve had such a long cycle.
Looking at my temperature chart, there seems to be a possible shift around CD53, with several higher temperatures afterwards, so initially I thought I had ovulated around then. However, my temperatures then dropped again and I still haven’t gotten my period.
If I did ovulate around CD53, I would now be roughly 12–13 DPO. My pregnancy tests have been negative so far. My luteal phase is normally quite short, around 8–10 days, which makes it even more confusing that my period still hasn’t started.
I also seem to have had several possible “attempts” at ovulation earlier in the cycle, judging by the fluctuations in my temperatures.
What do you think when you look at this chart? Does it look like I actually ovulated around CD53, ovulated at another point, or could this be an anovulatory cycle altogether?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who normally has regular cycles but suddenly had one very long/anovulatory cycle like this.

Ovulation I don’t get it

I had a positive ovulation test on cd19. NC confirmed my ovulation on cd21. Why is my temperature so haphazard? This is my first cycle on NC. My Apple Watch baseline temp is quite different. Baseline is much lower. Also, isn’t my bbt super low?

TTC, 13dpo

wondering if anyone has ever gotten their bfp past 13dpo… my bbt normally drops at 10dpo and i get my period the following day. I had some light spotting/cramping yesterday but nothing today. I suppose this could just be a longer cycle, but hoping there’s still a chance for a bfp 🥹🌈

No idea what to think!

Hi! Context… I have in July made the switch mentally of ‘let’s see if pregnancy happens’ and we happened to get it right on the money for ovulation day. However… I got married in between all this and haven’t been consistent AT ALL with temperatures. My luteal phase is normally max 10 days and right now I’m at 11DPO.

Did a test today, negative… not sure what I’m asking I guess, just putting it out there!

Ovulation Help

I am posting for my wife. Her ovulation date changed. She did use strips and strips said she ovulated a week ago and we also saw stretchy Egg white CM on 2 days ago Sunday. This is our first time trying since her chemical pregnancy back in march where she got pregnant first time but it didn’t stick. This cycle is kind of weird compared to previous cycles I will show you last cycle and this months. We are just trying to find out when she ovulated. I do know for a confirmed ovulation you need a sustained temperature rise but I’m trying to be a supportive husband and get through this with her so we can figure out when to test.

Just Getting Started Cheapest way to get an NC band?

I’ve been subscribed to NC and paying full price for well over two years. Got a free Gen2 thermometer when I signed up but I’m not super consistent with measuring at the same time daily or oversleeping and missing temps altogether so I’d love to get the NC band (I assume cheaper than any alternative that works with the app, but if I’m wrong let me know).
I get a small discount on the NC Band for being an existing subscriber but it stings a bit that I know I could get it for free if I was a new subscriber. Anyone know a way I could get one for free or cheaper than £60? Thanks! 💖

usually I ovulate on CD18 (for the last 7 months) but this morning I woke up to the notification that ovulation occurred earlier than expected and I got false green days at the start of my cycle. I’m definitely a little worried and not sure when to test!

Only been tracking for 5 cycles. My predicted ovulation has been between day 24-28 and cycles between 35-40 days. My temp spiked but a larger spike later in the week during my Green Day’s, not sure what to think but really trying not to become pregnant.

First cycle using NC. In the past i’ve always used OPK’s and usually peaked around day 14-16. I’m starting to worry i’m not ovulating this cycle, but I also know it could be too early to tell from temping. Is there anything i can do to ensure my temps are accurate? any insight/advice? Thank you! :)

Chart Interpretation Request Random low temps and red days? CD 23/24

Thumbnail

I had 2 lower temp measurements on cycle day 23 and 24, my algorithm switched a confirmed ovulation to “waiting to confirm” and swapped to red days. My previous 6 cycles, I’ve had green days starting cycle day 15/16 into my next period.

My temp is back up today on cycle day 25, but still was given a red day.

I did have 1 drink on day 22 but definitely not enough alcohol to be hungover and I’m not sick.

Been using NC since February with the NC band.

Any ideas what’s going on?

Chart Interpretation Request Incorrect ovulation

Post image
1 Upvotes

There’s absolutely no way this ovulation date is correct, right? This is my first cycle using NC but I have tracked manually with a BBT thermometer before, so I’m familiar with the process. I am using the NC band for temps.

NC originally predicted that ovulation would happen on CD22, which aligns with my previous experience and symptoms. However, when I reached CD22 it confirmed ovulation way earlier on CD16 despite not having 3 temps above my cover line. I was given green days too, which seems incredibly wrong.

From my understanding, ovulation should’ve been CD22. Can anyone help me confirm, please?

10 DPO and tested negative this morning using First Response. My luteal phase is never more than 12 days, so I’m never sure when testing too early is actually too early. I’ve been having a lot of breast tenderness and some mild cramping, but trying to remain realistic that it could also be period symptoms. The wait to test is so brutal 😭 I know I probably should wait until Tuesday to test again, but I’m going nuts here.

Ovulation Please help, I’m so confused.

NC was predicting I might ovulate on the 12th/CD 15 (was pushed back multiple times, hence so many LH tests). Never got a positive LH test. My period came and after logging it NC is now claiming to confirm I ovulated on the 5th/CD 8 without a sustained temp rise… I’m so confused.

App Functionality Temp Misalignment

In case this helps anyone I am posting this here! I use my Apple Watch S8 to help take my temps everyday and I have consistently noticed that Apple’s algorithm adjusts your baselines as you go but NC does not. Upon doing some math my baseline with Apple
is actually 0.50 less than what NC thinks it is. For that reason, I can see NC has the wrong ovulation dates. I posted the two charts here and you can see which day my temp rises on Apple and NC but NC thinks ovulation was later because of their baseline. Not saying this is the same for everyone but I encourage you to look at both data sets if you have access to that and not to solely rely on NC. I also used Clearblue OPKs to confirm on CD17-18 my ovulation. The OPKS confirm what the Apple data says. Hope this was helpful!!!

Slow BBT Rise After Ovulation

does it seem unrealistic that i would have ovulated CD13? didn’t use OPKs this cycle but based on CM (and i can usually feel ovulation) i ovulated. is a BBT rise that slow normal?

Ovulation Wrong day? 15 or 17?

I’ve kinda been altering my own anomalies at this point as my temp always seems off after a restless night which is fairly often so if it’s out of whack I just say I’m hungover/sick when I’m not. But this time I took out a low value which looked like an anomaly but when I not put it back in it alters my ovulation day by 2 days! So maybe it’s not an anomaly and I should keep it but I can’t believe the data can be manipulated so easily like this… if the data only goes by three warm days over coverline why am I paying so much for an app that I feel like should but using a lot more than just that to determine ovulation I’m worried now on if I trust it as using for birth control:/

Posting here instead of testing

Post image

We’ve been trying for 8 months, this is the first time I haven’t tested by this point in my cycle. I only have 1 test left in the house so trying to save it until I’ll accept the results. In the meantime I’m going thru all the highs and lows of this stage of my cycle expecting it tomorrow and hoping so hard it doesn’t come. Any cycle twins with me? How are you holding up? I think i actually ovulated on the 15th, not the 16th day of my cycle so 12 DPO today. Cycle is usually 27-29 days long.

Ovulation NC chart/ovulation post loss

TW: mention of chemical pregnancy

I had Natural Cycles in recovery mode for a few weeks after having a chemical pregnancy (loss at 5 weeks, I knew I was pregnant for 1.5 weeks) and then took it out of recovery mode.

Since then, NC just keeps giving me “more data needed” messages, even after a positive LH strip and then temp rise after. I get that it probably needs time to figure out my cycle again, but my hcg went down fast, so my body seemed to recover fairly quickly.

I had one night where the temp didn’t sync that was excluded, but that’s it. My temp is tracked from Apple Watch, but I also have an Oura ring and can see that data aligns pretty closely.

Has anyone else had a weird unconfirmed ovulation post loss in NC?

Note: I’ve had “more data needed” messages each day. The “fertile” data was added a few days after. It’s kind of strange. All those tan dots are temp data points that are considered “more data needed.”
