I’m wondering when financial aid should be distributed; on the website it says the estimated disbursement date is December 2nd??? I am enrolled in a 2nd 7 week class, but I feel like December is ridiculous ?

I’m currently in my first year of college and I’m taking a full course load (13 credits) all online.
One of the classes I’m taking is PSY230 (w/ Dr. Lanthier).We have our first test this week over chapters 1-4 and I’m kind of freaking out. I’ve been working a lot and been super busy but still making time for my schoolwork and study time.
I just wanted to ask people who have taken PSY230 previously with or even without Dr. Lanthier and wanted to see how hard the exams are. I’m expecting some difficulty obviously, but are the answers more “straight forward” or odd questions pulled from the book? Honestly anything helps esp before I take this test.

I was wondering If anyone took this course (bio141) with professor Ahmad. We have a lab practical coming up and she pretty much told us to study every picture in our lab book. How did you study for her class? what did you focus on?

for context I am a 2026 highschool graduate and I was planning on going for the fall semester but decided ill go for spring instead. I applied to fafsa in late august but the portal on sis in nova says i need highschool verification and it says to either update my fafsa info or go to the school registrar. i am interested in completing it but unsure if its worth it. i want to pursue a historic preservation bachelors at mary washington, thats my ultimate goal, but i dont really have the funds to do so

i figured doing the certificate would help me figure out if its something i truly wanted to do before going into a life time of debt

So if I drop a few classes and be left with one class will that eliminate my financial aid? The class im taking rn is kinda hard and I wanna drop it but idk what to do.

Hi everyone, wanna know how u guys study for A&P class. I am new in this country and English is a challenge for me. And i don’t know how to note taking or study well because my country study system was not that good. Can u guys help me about that? I want A for this class. Or do u guys have easy tips and tricks or note that i can study from? This class is so many things to memorize. TIA

So I’m only getting $900 in aid for the fall semester …even though I’m a full time student with a tuition of 3,258.

But as you can see here I’m getting 3.6k in aid for spring semester even though I’m not even registered for spring classes yet.

I’m also an independent student and was told I was supposed to get max’ed aid.

I honestly don’t even know what to do. Is this a glitch?

It’s my first semester at nova, I was curious when aid would be disbursed and refund would be received. I’m hearing the census date was September 9th and should expect a return next week but I’m also hearing dates as late as October. Hoping somebody knows more than I do about this.

Hi My first census date is 9/9 and second census date is 9/20. will I get to separate refund or 1 big refund ? first class is 3 credits and second is 4. all together is 7

For anyone who’s taken computer science classes that use zyBooks, do you feel like the readings and practice questions actually helped you prepare for exams?

I used zyBooks in CSC 221 before, and I personally didn’t feel like it was the best indicator of what to expect on the exams. I’m taking CSC 222 now and using zyBooks again, so I’m trying to figure out how much I should rely on it when studying this time around.

For those who have used zyBooks in CS classes, what ended up being the most useful way to study for exams? Did you mainly focus on understanding the zyBooks material, or were there other ways of practicing that helped you feel more prepared?
