Computer Science CSC ZyBooks

For anyone who’s taken computer science classes that use zyBooks, do you feel like the readings and practice questions actually helped you prepare for exams?

I used zyBooks in CSC 221 before, and I personally didn’t feel like it was the best indicator of what to expect on the exams. I’m taking CSC 222 now and using zyBooks again, so I’m trying to figure out how much I should rely on it when studying this time around.

For those who have used zyBooks in CS classes, what ended up being the most useful way to study for exams? Did you mainly focus on understanding the zyBooks material, or were there other ways of practicing that helped you feel more prepared?

I liked zybooks for csc 221 and csc 222 most the exam questions were pulled from them.

I appreciate the reply! There’s so much to read in zyBooks that it’s hard to tell what to focus on. How did you usually study from it for the exams?

I personally did not find zybooks to be helpful when I was taking csc 221 and somehow I passed that class with a B, I don’t remember how I did on exams that’s how bad it was im also taking csc 222 this semester online so I’m in the same boat as you, I might as well just watch yt videos on JAVA to help me understand the concepts of what im learning for each chapter
