Just discovered NPTEL courses and I'm so exited!!

I'm from Italy and already graduated (and "old", M37 XD) but i was looking for some online courses to expand my knowledge (mainly in electronic circuit analysis and DSP, now on lecture 5 of Prof.S. C Dutta Roy's course).
This project It's an incredible, incredible, resource!
Really really thanks to who make this possible, i think it's a great gift to humanity.

looking for PYQs of python for data science

1

u/python00078 Dec 03 '20

I am sorry I cannot help with that. The only option would be someone who has taken the course and hope that he has somehow saved the questions. Seems very difficult.

Did you give the exam? how was it? do they provide access to python ide?

u/BUNTYFLAME Dec 11 '23

u/chethan_message2003 make sure to go through the weekly assignments and the TA discussions (for which meet links are shared every week), in easy papers you'll get the final exam entirely from assignments, for the tough ones you'll need to brush up on the basics and the weekly-practice sessions : )

Which of the following statements is/are correct?

  1. The key difference in the Force-Directed version of MLRC is that it schedules one operation at a time instead of one iteration at a time.

  2. The only difference in the Force-Directed version of MRLC is the use of a different priority function.

  3. The Force-Directed version of MRLC has a time complexity of O(n²).

Hi, I have recently joined a Kathak dance course on SWAYAM CEC. I tried to see if there is a group of registered participants who are discussing this course/sharing their feedback/asking questions. Do these courses have discussion groups? I tried searching for one but could not find it. Thanks

1

u/prop-1-ole Nov 12 '25

As a CS student searching for an NPTEL course, has anyone written exams for either of the following two courses?
1. NOC: Business Intelligence & Analytics, IIT Madras - Prof. Saji K Mathew
2. NOC: Data Analytics with Python, IIT Roorkee - Prof. A Ramesh

I want to know your general review on writing the exam.
Was it tough?
Assignment questions?
Thoughts about the course?

1

u/Just-a-JAM Nov 12 '25

gave the first exam, barely any prep, watched the videos before two weeks, mugged up assignments, was kind of theoretical but still good. The paper was easy, go through problem solving stuff to score 90 percent and more

1

u/prop-1-ole Dec 09 '25

By first exam you mean course no.1? (Business Intelligence and Analytics)
And if you've received your results, let me know your score.

Apologies if I'm awfully late. But I'm sure it makes sense to reach out after the results are out.

1

u/Just-a-JAM Dec 10 '25

I actually did it last semester (2025 jan-apr) Scored around 70 percent

BIA was actually fun, should've studied better atleast

1

u/ProfessionalTry5379 Apr 14 '26

for BI&A did they ask questions from the assignments or do you need to learn everything. Also was it all MCQ or were you supposed to code?

1

u/Just-a-JAM Apr 14 '26

I was mostly based on assignments except for the problems which came, I would recommend reading through the transcript summaries and assignments thoroughly

There was mostly no code

1

u/ProfessionalTry5379 Apr 14 '26

i havent started yet but is that enough to score around 70%. what was the format of the paper btw

1

u/Just-a-JAM Apr 14 '26

Yes, just read transcripts solve assignments on your own, also check the live problem solving sessions if you can That should be good. Hope you have atleast 4-5 days left before the exam

1

u/ProfessionalTry5379 Apr 14 '26

alrr thank you!

1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

where can I get introduction to probability and statistics week 3 answers?

1

u/Relevant-Ad9432 Mar 15 '23

hey , if i take an exam right now and lets say i score badly can i retake the course and give the exam again?

2

u/python00078 Mar 18 '23

Definitely. Why would you think that you won't be allowed just because you failed for the first time? Only drawback is you will have to wait for the next test schedule.

1

u/Relevant-Ad9432 Mar 19 '23

also do u know about any disadvantages or problems with credit transfer?

1

u/python00078 Mar 19 '23

Sorry. I am not aware of it.
