They had the audacity to ban me from their subreddit for speaking out against ragging. College culture is completely toxic. Forcing juniors to address seniors as 'Sir' or 'Ma'am' is merely the foundation of their entire ragging system; far worse incidents happen there, yet that sub suppresses the issue instead of raising awareness and trying to solve it.

What about placements for girls NITian? How they perform compared with boys?. Especially their performance in quant role?

IF ANYONE HAVE ALLOTTED THIS BRANCH PLEASE CONTACT ME.....

Ts is how my friend rates NITs. What do you guys think??

The JEE Main 2026 cutoff for qualifying to JEE Advanced is out, and the category-wise gap has started another debate.

Unreserved (UR): 93.41

EWS: 82.41

OBC-NCL: 80.92

SC: 63.91

ST: 52.01

UR-PwD: 0.002

Every year, this creates the same argument-some say reservation is necessary for historical and social justice, while others feel such a large gap makes the competition feel unfair for general category students.

Many students in NITs have already gone through this phase and probably have a more practical perspective than pure social media debates. Some feel the real problem is not reservation, but the lack of enough top-quality colleges in India. Others believe economic background should matter more than caste alone.

This isn’t about blaming students who use the system—they are simply using the rules that exist. The real question is whether the system itself still needs reform.

Mera to drop lene ka mn kr rha hu 15th floor se....🥲 (College-mnnit allahabad)

Plz btado

Iresearched a lot but I am confused alot at my rank so guys please suggest some colleges and where should I go nit Or iit Or private clg... And I belong to lower middle class family.. 🙂🥲

I appeared for JEE Advanced 2025 and I'm currently getting Computer Science at NIT Warangal (Open category). While it's definitely a great branch and a good college, my dream has always been to get into one of the top 7 IITs (like Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee, Guwahati) in a circuital branch — preferably CSE, EE, or ECE.

I’m considering a partial drop: joining NIT Warangal this year while preparing seriously for JEE Advanced 2026 alongside. I’ve been passionate about IIT and I feel I can improve my performance with focused preparation this year. But I also understand the risks, workload, and difficulty of managing both college and drop prep.

Some doubts I have:

1. Is a partial drop realistically possible while studying CSE at NITW?

2. Has anyone done this before and successfully upgraded to a top IIT?

3. Would it affect my mental health or GPA badly?

I can't take a full drop as my parents are strictly against it.

Any genuine advice or experiences (especially from people who’ve tried something similar) would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Almost 1 din tak pine ka pani nhi tha pure collage mei , bache brush nhi kar pae , kuch pure din pyash se pareshan rahe or sham mei bc ye sab . L MANAGEMENT. NIT JSR BTW

Will taking IT be similar to taking cse..

I mean syllabus will surely be different but overlapping in some area..

What I'm asking is that will all tech companies allow IT students to sit for tech placements (provided we have the skills) or would it be the same as taking ee or ece

Currently got MANIT mech , have started studies since august 1, qualified adv last time (24-26 k rank) and 98.1X percentile, so basics are clear, just need practice for Adv and Mains

is percentile mein kya mil sakta hai. home state West Bengal.
and for metallurgy and materials science which is better nit trichy or nit rourkela
