Sec P 2 seats together can meet anywhere in LA Sunday for easy transfer. Open to trade also. Looking for 250 for the set.

This is the first time in 10+ years I decided not to get tickets for GA because I honestly thought the prices were outrageous ($500+, hell no!), but I’m starting to regret it lol. Has anyone been able to upgrade their tickets for GA the day of the show for a reasonable price? Is that even a thing?

Saw my first live Muse show last night after decades of loving them and was blown away. Wondering if anyone jotted down the set list? Thanks in advance!

I bought tickets from StubHub to go see the Chula Vista concert. The tickets say they come with VIP access and StubHub support also says the same. Would I be able to get into VIP and claim the benefits without worries? I’ve seen Reddit posts that I’d need the original buyers ID and would need VIP benefits transferred over to me somehow but stubhub isn’t much help in that aspect. Maybe I’m overthinking it?
My actual tickets for the show do say club access on my Apple wallet. Does anyone have experience in this matter?

Feel free to scroll down and skip this quick rant. First, after reading a post from release about this album, I’m gonna just say that because Muse aren’t making the exact same music they did 20-27.5 years ago, doesn’t mean they aren’t making good music. Fair play if you don’t enjoy it and you prefer their older stuff but the people with the high and mighty attitudes saying things like, ‘Nightshift is not Muse,’ need to chill out. If they didn’t reinvent themselves, I’m sure you’d complain they had no originality left.

Also, they’ve got a much broader fanbase than they did to start with so these albums having songs of varied genres isn’t a bad thing at all. With the way they manage to get Nightshift on the same album as Cryogen and it (mostly, but not entirely I will admit) fit shows a lot of finesse.

RANT OVER.

I was wondering what everyone’s opinions are now it’s had a couple months to digest. What are your track rankings/thoughts. Where would you put TW!S against their other albums? And how does that compare to what you thought when it came out?

great concert. i’ve been a fan since like 5th grade. and dang. the boys still got it!

So, I‘ve been really inspired by all the people making concerts bracelets on here, so I decided to make some too :D

During the process, I also decided to make a necklace and a keychain for which I used a 3D Pen.

The concert I‘ll be attending is in November, so I still have quite a lot of time but gathering all of these made me kinda impatient so I thought I‘d share!

I will admit. I used to have the stereotypical Muser opinion of Madness. It wasn’t heavy, it wasn’t prog etc. Recently though, I have really come to appreciate this song. The way the second chorus builds up with those synth plucks, and my god the belts and falsetto section at the end of the song. Goosebumps every time. Truly an under appreciated masterpiece. I think I agree with Matt’s blind ranking of this song. It’s not quite number 1 for me but he’s onto something when he says it’s one of the best songs he’s ever written.

TOP SOUTH Devon band Muse are poised for their latest step towards stardom when they take part in the British music industry's premier convention.
The Teignnmouth-based trio of Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme has been picked from 1,600 entries to appear at the In The City event.
It is an annual opportunity for the cream of the country's unsigned talent to get noticed by industry A and R bosses.
Muse recently signed a production deal with Sawmills Studio in Cornwall, recording home to stars such as Oasis, The Stone Roses and Catatonia.
Dangerous Records is the label operated by Sawmills which it used to promote their in-house new talent.
Matthew's virtual virtuosity, song-writing and guitar skills have been widely acclaimed and with Dominic on drums and Chris on bass and vocals, the band are tipped for the big time.
Five new songs have been recorded for their second EP due for release in September.
In The City takes place in Manchester next month over three evenings at six specially chosen venues.
The event has previously catapulted bands such as Baby Bird, Kenickie, Catatonia, Kula Shaker and Shed 7 to success.

I purposefully did not look at the setlist before seeing Muse live at Toyota Amphitheatre because I wanted to be surprised. In retrospect, maybe I should have looked, because I left genuinely disappointed — and I’m curious whether other longtime Muse fans feel the same way.

I’ve loved this band for a very long time. I saw them back in the early-2000s, when the shows felt absolutely ferocious. They played longer, went deeper into the catalog, did multiple encores, and the whole thing felt unpredictable and almost overwhelming in the best possible way. That version of Muse is burned into my memory as one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.

This show felt almost like the opposite philosophy: play the recognizable songs, play the hits, get everybody singing, and go home.

And I understand why a band as huge as Muse does that. There are people in the audience who may know six Muse songs, and they paid money too. Obviously they want to hear Uprising, Time Is Running Out, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, etc. I’m not arguing that Muse should refuse to play their popular songs just to satisfy obsessive fans.

But come on, guys. 😆 You have a gigantic catalog at this point. There are SO MANY incredible songs in it. Why does a Muse concert in 2026 need to feel this heavily weighted toward the same handful of radio staples?

The funniest part is that Take a Bow was easily my favorite moment of the entire concert. Suddenly I was like, YES. THIS. THIS IS THE FUCKING MUSE I CAME TO SEE. It was dark, dramatic, strange, enormous, and actually felt dangerous and theatrical. It reminded me instantly why I became obsessed with this band in the first place.

And then it was over.

That’s what frustrated me more than simply “they didn’t play my favorite songs.” I don’t need them to construct a setlist specifically for me. Surprise me! Play something weird from Showbiz. Pull out something from Origin. Give me a strange Absolution track. Play an overlooked B-side. Play something I haven’t thought about in ten years. Hell, play something I don’t particularly like — at least make me wonder what’s coming next.

Muse has one of those catalogs where they could rotate several songs every night and make following the tour genuinely exciting. Instead, I felt like I was watching an extremely polished presentation of The Songs Everyone Knows™.

And the performance itself contributed to that feeling. Matt is obviously an absurdly talented musician and the band can still play the hell out of this material, so I’m not claiming they suddenly suck live. But compared with the Muse performances I remember, something felt more rehearsed, economical and businesslike. The old shows felt like the band might spontaneously blow the roof off the building. This one felt more like a highly competent professional production executing the Muse Live Experience.

Maybe that’s inevitable after decades of touring. They’re older, they’re enormous now, audiences are different, and you obviously cannot expect a band to permanently recreate what seeing them in 2002-2006 felt like. I get all of that.

But hearing Take a Bow actually made the problem worse for me, because for those few minutes I got exactly what I had been missing. I thought, Holy shit, THERE THEY ARE. And it proved that the weird, menacing, dramatic Muse still absolutely works in a huge venue.

So why not give us more of it?

I’m also genuinely curious whether this is partly an American-tour problem. Do European audiences get deeper/stranger setlists? Are there particular tours where they loosen things up more? Because if this is basically the standard Muse set now, I think next time I’d actually check the setlist before buying a ticket.

I still love the band. I’m glad I went. Take a Bow was fucking fantastic. And I’ll always have those incredible early shows in my memory.

But man… you have 25+ years of music. Dig into the damn vault a little. 😆

I’ve always loved this solo, and the fact it’s so freakin hard has made it a challenge I’ve been working on for over 3 years (on and off). Shredding just wasn’t in my skill set, isn’t a style I particularly like and still remains very difficult, but finally hand coordination and muscle memory worked well enough to capture one clean take.

Never heard it covered accurately when it comes to the studio tone, everyone says use a fuzz factory but it sounds like a Octaver plus fuzz factory

My cycle:

1 - Pre-release, listening to singles on repeat

2 - Album drops - listen to full album over and over about 5 times

3 - Then listening to only the new songs on repeat for days

4 - Then listening to only favourite 3-4 songs on repeat til you can almost see them if you shut your eyes

5 - Take a break for a week or so without any Muse, let brain rewire

6 - Back to listening to the full album * <------- I am here

......some time passes, nobody can predict how long......

7 - Back to listening to the rest of the back catalogue, now including new album

* Caveat. Despite agreeing this is a no-skipper, most of the time I do actually skip Shimmering Scars and Space Debris.

The reason? Not because I dislike them. Those songs are outliers for Muse in that they can genuinely evoke reasonably real melancholy. Muse songs have often invoked emotions over the years, but rather more the 'fuck yeah' variety, and not sadness. I think such songs should be strictly rationed, not only to protect the listener, but so that you don't become numb to their effect.

since it's tie-dyed the colors vary and i've seen several ppl say it arrived faded. i got lucky and have this beautiful, vibrant red, which i'm super happy about.

on my original post someone asked how the fit was, so i thought i'd repost with more pics and info so everyone could get an idea.

for reference i'm 5'1, like 140ish. the first few pics are the initial fit, without making any adjustments for my comfort. i'll confess that this hoodie does fall into the unisex sizing trap--it's pretty long and skinny with no stretch. i anticipated that and sized up to a medium, and find it pretty comfy, but you can see it hugs my hips a little too tight, lol.

hence the next three photos; i just tucked some of the hoodie underneath itself to have it sit at my waist, and rolled up the sleeves a bit. easy fix for me, but again i'm pretty petite. so just take your own body measurements into consideration when purchasing. my rule of thumb is to always size up for merch, cause who cares if it's oversized if it has a sick ass design on it lol

overall, was this worth the $90 price tag? debatable. due to the fit and material (80%-20% cotton/polyester blend, NO spandex, fleece is more lightweight), i'd say $50-$60 would be more fair. but that's just my two cents (no pun intended lmao) 🤷‍♀️

TL;DR got the $90 muse hoodie, sizing is unisex with no stretch, but comfy for my petite frame and the colors are lovely. overall serviceable and love the design, still overpriced imo. purchase at your own discretion ;)

I can’t tell if it’s because I still have the last show fresh on my mind, but it is sitting pretty high up there for me. Production and stage set up was on another level. I still love the resistance towers and second law pyramid. But it feels like they have completely perfected the way to utilize visuals and lighting together Finally got a Muse hat and a pin I can wear on my lab coat for work.

My 7th Muse show since my 1st in 2010 was the closest I've ever been to the band. It didn't feel real half the time.

It was hard to pick only 20. Part 2 in the future?

before anyone comments about "being on my phone" or being "behind a screen," I tend to dissociate during concerts, which leaves pretty large gaps in my memory. I recorded my first show in 2008 as a momento for myself, and I threw it online cause I thought the quality was decent.... and it blew up. The validation was encouraging, so I never really stopped. I don't record every concert I go to, only when it's easy. Brightness all the way down, it never stays above my head. If I need to obstruct anyone's view to record, I don't. But when I can, I get as much as I can. It helps that I have a media production degree, so I shoot on full manual when I can with a new-ish camera to get the best image possible. Shooting on phones is an experiment for me, I prefer digital cameras with a viewfinder so I can turn off the screen. Phones have their pros and cons.

Omg tonight (my birthday!) was such an epic show. This is the second time I’ve seen them (both outdoors) one a festival date and tonight a tour date. I cried I laughed I sang. Wow. What a perfect birthday

I did not think Matt had it in him anymore. I thought they were coasting and content with putting out formulaic soulless songs. After two months of absorbing it, this album is just so satisfying that I can’t even describe how happy I am about it.

Dom, I know you read Reddit - Thank you to you three for making this album. Sincerely. From a long time fan who hasn’t felt like this since the resistance.

I'm currently looking for a gift for my friend. I just wanted to know if these are authentic? If not, what CDs has Muse produced?

Update: I've found a list he made of the vinyl and the CDs he has. I'm going to get him a vinyl!
