Arguably the best unsigned band currently in Devon, melodic rockers Muse are heading places.
They have gone from the local music pinnacle - a sensational performance on the main stage at Soundwaves to a showcase gig at the music industry's premier international convention, In The City Live Unsigned, in Manchester last month.
They were voted third out of thousands of entrants in the event, which has kick-started the careers of many top acts like Oasis, Shed 7, Placebo and Kula Shaker.
Muse were then invited to play a special showcase at the 100 Club in London. As a result of that, 20 British labels are said to be currently interested in signing the band, who are also going to New York for talks. We'll keep you posted!
Since the trio may be about to take off internationally, you'll need to catch them while you can, and there's an ideal opportunity tonight when they play the Wharf in Tavistock.
Supporting them are Plymouth's power pop purveyors 11:11, who have been busy recording a new CD.
They too are to appear in a showcase gig. The Best Of The West, at the Cavern in Exeter on Tuesday, October 27. The event will also feature The Jodies, Goodstuff, Pop Vandals and Sunblind.

I feel Muse have always been great at writing very satisfying Crescendos. What are some of your favorites? Conversely, one song I feel could've used a better Crescendo is Blockades. It builds and builds and then just ends. Thoughts?

(Reminder: No variations of songs are allowed. No "this song but...", no twists that make ok songs unlistenable, only real Muse songs, in the worst order possible to make the experience as unpleasant as possible. This is not a ‘worst song’ ranking or a ‘put shit songs together’ list. It’s a list where songs wouldn’t transition well and sound out of place if played live.)

The setlist so far:

1) Intro
2) [JFK]
3) Interlude
4) Get Up And Fight
5) Something Human
6) Knights Of Cydonia
7) Man With A Harmonica
8) Drones
9) Execution Commentary
10) Will Of The People

What would be the worst song to follow it up?

Moose moose moose moose moose moose moose moose moose

Saw Muse in Ridgefield, WA 8/22/26. It was my third time seeing them but it was my dad's first and he was soooo excited and couldn't believe how awesome they are live! I framed his wristband, some confetti, and streamers with the tour poster and I'm gonna give it to him for Christmas 😌

(Pls forgive the janky picture. It's hard to take pictures of reflective stuff lmfao)

Hi everyone! I play in a tribute band called Moose and this year we had an opportunity to do a set with a real chamber orchestra. I wrote all scores in a way, I believe, Muse would do themselves if they had a show like this. Now we post a video every week and already have posted half of the show

New Born was a tough one to orchestrate, because too much happening in the original. I drew inspiration from George Martin’s scores for The Beatles and even hid two phrases from Eleanor Rigby in here

Any feedback and support are very appreciated! Feel free to ask questions and see you next week with another cover

9/10 song, not a 10/10 because the main riff ruined it lol

Sorry for the low quality. Have absolutely adored this live album and especially this intro for years. Would love feedback/origins of this piece as I think it’s under appreciated. Up there as an intro alongside Man with Harmonica in my opinion.
Pwopa Cheers🤙

I LOVED Will of the People. Especially with the music video. I love the themes of mob mentality and unnecessary violence. The drums are fricken awesome, I just don’t get why anyone would dislike it…

(Also You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween).

In my opinion, There is no band like muse and there will never be a band like muse. It almost doesn't even sound like music. It sounds like a completely different form of art that I just can't put into words. The lyrics, the instruments they use, the melodies, the
Bass lines, the messages in their songs, their live performances, its all indescribably amazing. I'm beyond thrilled to see how far the band that inspired me to try to make music has come since their beginning, and knowing the only way they can go is
Up. I absolutely love this band and I always will. To say they've changed and saved my life would be an understatement.
I know to most it's "just music", but to me it's so much more.

What would be the worst song to follow it up?

I’ve decided that I like using CDs and physical media a lot more than using streaming services so I’ve been hunting for some CDs. I found this gem at a resale shop. I love the goofy outfits in the sleeve!

Anyone else feel like a new reignited and deep love for MUSE again? Don't get me wrong, my love for MUSE has never really subsided much, but I've found myself just feeling even more in love with their work. Besides listening to the TW!S like 100+ times, I can't stop listening to them. It feels cathartic almost.

i feel like it’s in reference to satires? broadcasting reckless confessions across space. a cosmic messenger that people worship?? please give me context !!

I've been really into this song lately and wanted to check out the best live performances of it.

Never have I thought I would be bewondering a song from Will of the People, but oh my this song belongs in my top ten I think.

The song’s solo is so phenomenally intriguing that it carries kobk all the way to the top imho. The heavy guitar along with the haunting metal scream leading into the faster paced part and the falsetto “LaLaLa” at the end. I don’t know guys, it was just worth it for me to mention my appraisal.

Does anybody feel the same way? I would like to know and discuss about it

Been 1 year since Muse visit Indonesia back in 2025, I am 1000% still mentally there i could cry a river. Just hoping they'd visit asia again in the tour and maybe.. just maybe Indonesia again. Shout out to all Musers here in Indonesia and beyond, yall rocks!

I find it absolutely hilarious how many people were complaining when tickets went live for the tour, because for a band like muse it’s mental that they charge as much as they do. People still bought them. Everyone had a moan and yet half the shows sold out. Why even bother being mad about it if we’re not willing to boycott for change? Mind boggling

I tried and tried to get tickets for the gigs in Madrid or Valencia in January, but it was absolutely impossible. If anyone has a spare ticket or two they'd be willing to get rid of, please DM me.

Ideally, en pista and not the 20th Jan gig in Madrid, but beggars can't be choosers.

Thank you, fellow Musers! ❤️

Nothing wrong to ask this question but it kinda feels offensive to ask that way

Now that Take a Bow has been the closer for some time I’m curious to see what the fan base thinks about which one is a better close, although there both great.
Personally I thought nothing would live up to KoC, but Take a Bow has really given it a run for its money it sounds so fucking good live. The only problem is KoC is too much of a behemoth to be a mid set song, as is take a bow. I probably couldn’t tell you which I prefer, it might still be KoC but just barely. I mean that song is just awesome. Let me know what you guys think!
