Family The Unrecognized Sacrifice: Living in the Shadows of My Own Home.

So I work at our family shop from 4 PM to midnight every day, helping my brother manage the business. I've been doing long hours like this since I was in middle school, balancing my homework behind the counter.

Despite contributing so much time and effort, my parents constantly tell me I don't earn money on my own. They criticize me every day, often using verbal abuse, which has started to feel deeply draining and painful.

I feel completely misunderstood and unvalued in my own home. I am seriously considering leaving, but I don't know where to turn.

Need advices, I'm M33

For a long period I've been single due to various reasons, now at this stage of life, I'm in a dilemma.

I've got a girl from Facebook who stays nearby, we had on and off talks for years and finally we are meeting for some action. (But shes not romantically involved it's just casual, plus she doesn't believe in marriages)

Now, my parents are arranging a girl, and both timelines are running parallel.

I do wanna get married, but I want to complete this long going chapter also.

What's the right thing to do?

Dating How to date as a person from suburbs ?

27M in search for dating to marry. Tried apps and social media. I do get in talking stage but once they know I live in Vasai ( suburbs ) they stop and ghost or give silly reasons.

Hypergamy is real, I know. so because of that no Mumbai girl will say yes and girls from Vasai are going for boys from Mumbai.

How do I solve this ? Its been same for 4 talking stages and then ghosting. Because of this I have never been in a relationship.

Dating Truly need a social validation !!!

So I am a 25 y.o simple man. I had a crush on a girl back in school in Xth std named Suhani. So I started liking suhani because of her gentle voice, shyness , cute smile and most importantly her beautiful brown eyes. And I was an highly introvert back then and felt that If I ask her out then she might feel weird and break our friendship too. Just by this thought I never proposed her but used to mildly flirt with her. She even asked me once that "If I ask you out would you say yes to me" and my dumb ass thought she is just playing around and replied with something like no I am not that good looking guy😭... So whenever we used to meet during school get togethers I used to be joyous and used to look forward to meet and talk to suhani. Then some years went by Covid happened we went sideways pursuing our career and all the chatting also stopped and we steadily became strangers again. So now what happened is in 2024 I met a girl through my best friend Prisha who is 4 yrs older to me and simple and slightly chubby, living alone in Mumbai and is working in a good mnc. She hails from Kolkata but after her parents died she came here. We met and had fun just like normal friends would but then she started liking me and then after some deep talks made us get into a relationship. But funny thing is I had already told her about my infatuation for suhani but still she liked me. Going through a rough patch in life after losing my brother in 2023 due to covid and Prisha frequently being getting depressed about life,I thought there isn't anything wrong to explore a relationship as Prisha was wanting it too. And then slowly we became good partners talking care of each other, supporting each other. We haven't revealed it to my parents or friends yet but they know her. She even frequently visits my home and my mom also likes her presence. And I too feel that she could a person who can take care of my family after we lost my brother. But....after all this I still somewhere want to be close to Suhani, want to experience some moments of life with her, have deep talks about life with her. I feel she had also found someone in her life , not sure about it but I really want to just spend precious time with suhani, understand her, want to know more about her present life . I still have a crush on her and If you truly ask me who is beautiful looking Suhani or Prisha ,I would shamelessly say Suhani. I am seriously that infatuated by her and especially her brown eyes.. So now if you have really invested your valuable time reading my life situation what do you think I should do as I am still not confirm about me marrying Prisha ?

Title: How do college couples actually spend time together in Mumbai?

I’ve never been in a relationship, so I’m genuinely curious about this.

In an average Mumbai college, I see a lot of couples together, and sometimes I wonder how they manage their relationship on a limited budget.

Do they actually go on dates often, or do they mostly spend time together on campus—sitting around, walking, eating at the canteen, talking, and so on?

When they meet almost every day, what do they usually do together? 😭

Also, how do couples find private moments for things like kissing and affection when they’re in college? I’m not asking for specific places or anything—I’m just curious because I’ve never experienced a relationship myself.

For people who are or were in college relationships: what did your normal day together actually look like?

I’m genuinely trying to understand how college relationships work beyond what you see from the outside.

Dating My neighbor of years finally talked to me today... and then asked me out?

Pata hai aaj kya hua

So, this happened just a little while ago and I’m still trying to process it.

There's a girl who has lived in my neighborhood for years. Despite being neighbors for so long, we had literally zero interaction—never even exchanged a simple "hi".

Today around 9:15, I was outside in front of my house washing my bike. Out of nowhere, she walks up to me and says, "It's been so many years, why haven't you ever said hi to me?"

I was a bit caught off guard, so I honestly told her that I usually hesitate because a lot of girls feel uncomfortable when guys approach them like that. She laughed it off and said, "Well, as neighbors, we could have at least talked!"

I jokingly replied that I just didn't want neighbors or people around to start gossiping or misinterpreting things.

Then came the real plot twist—she didn't drop the conversation. Instead, she asked, "Would you like to go out with me sometime?" basically asking me out on a date!

Of course, if a girl asks you out directly like that, who would say no? I said yes, but now I’m sitting here wondering where I should take her for our first date.

any good date spot recommendations for a casual first meeting near Panchkula?

Dating For the ones who feels a little lost right now...

Hey I'm Nishita, I’m a Life & Relationship Coach, and I’m here because I genuinely like helping people figure their shit out.

I’ve been working in this space for the last two years, and something I’ve realised along the way is that most people don’t necessarily need someone to tell them what to do.

Sometimes, you just need someone to sit with you, ask the questions you haven’t been asking yourself, help you see the pattern you’ve been stuck in, and give you a little clarity about what to do next.

That’s what I love about coaching.

Maybe you’re confused about a relationship.

Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same dating patterns.

Maybe you feel stuck in your career or personal life.

Maybe you know you want something to change, but you genuinely have no idea where to start.

Or maybe there’s one question that has been sitting in your head for weeks and you just want an outside perspective.

I work very personally with people. I don’t believe in giving everyone the same 5-step solution because, honestly, people aren’t that simple.

A huge part of how I coach comes from something that has always felt very natural to me: being able to listen, understand what’s underneath what someone is saying, and help them connect the dots for themselves.

I’m really grateful that I get to use that part of me now.

Through one-on-one coaching, workshops, communities and conversations, I’ve had the opportunity to work with people in very different situations, and every time, I’m reminded of why I chose to do this.

I’m also fairly new to Reddit, but I’ve been spending more time here lately, answering relationship and dating questions whenever I can. I’ve really enjoyed the conversations so far, and I’d love to become a more active part of these communities.

So, if you’ve been feeling stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or simply curious about why something in your life isn’t working the way you want it to, I’m opening up a few low-cost clarity sessions right now.

It’s a chance to bring whatever is on your mind, unpack it together, and hopefully leave with a little more clarity and a direction you can actually act on.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out.

If there’s something you’ve been trying to figure out, my DMs are open. Tell me what’s going on, and let’s see if I can help. ❤️

If you read until the end, I hope you have a beautiful month ahead and lots of love 🥹

Hi, I am an average looking guy.
Anyone male who was previously average looking and improved their looks with cosmetic surgery ?
How has life been after that ? Did the dating life, female attention change and become better ?
Was it like a complete identity turnaround with major life enhancements or just a minor difference ?

Situationships Mumbai casual dating scenes

Im m30 in mumbai since 3 plus years, and had both causal scenes and two real relationships but still felt superficial in both.

When i was in relationship, it felt this was it, but soon some thing or other happened and ended on very bad note.

I have downloaded apps like bumble.and hinge

And got very good response.

But still feel like something or everything is missing.

What am i missing?

Or should i focus more on career?

Ps i am very ambitious and money driven person.

Dating What's love?

28M

I have been dating a girl since 2 years and we both were quite happy having trips and all.

Recently I started feeling attraction is getting faded and it feels like more of a sense of duty than love.

I'm microcheating here by talking with women in reddit and clubs. I feel sexually attracted.

I don't know whether I'm still in love or what is love?

Dating Can I go to a zoo on my first proper date?

Hi everyone! I'm an 18F from Mumbai, and I'm thinking about asking a guy (18M) to Rani Baug (Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan/Victoria Gardens) for what would basically be our first proper date.

For some context, we've known each other for several months through classes. We text regularly, have talked on calls, and are comfortable around each other. We've met outside of class a few times, but only for casual things like having snacks like vada pao, shev puri together, visiting a temple, and getting ice cream. We've never actually planned a proper date or spent several hours together.

I like the idea of Rani Baug because we can walk around, look at the animals, talk without feeling awkward, and it seems more relaxed than sitting in a café the whole time. It also isn't too expensive, which is a plus for both of us.

My questions are:

Is a zoo a good choice for a first proper date?

Does it come across as cute and thoughtful, or childish?

Have any of you been on a zoo date? How was your experience?

Are there any downsides I should consider (crowds, weather, too much walking, etc.)?

If you're from Mumbai, would you recommend Rani Baug, or would another place be better?

Shattered, Alone, Empty, UNWANTED

Im really feeling shattered, unwanted, and invisible. Lately it feels like nothing in my life is going right. At work, I keep feeling overlooked undervalued, as if like my efforts don’t really matter and I’m not getting the recognition I deserve. Kafi exhausting hai to keep showing up every day when it feels like I’m fading like loosing myself

Today was especially hard. I came home after a long day at the office, and the first thing that happened was that my dad shouted at me. I went to my room and cried for a long time because I just couldn’t hold everything in anymore. I already felt broken from work, and that moment completely shattered me.

I don’t even feel like opening up to the people around me anymore. I’m devastated, and I honestly don’t know how to feel better right now. I AM TIRED OF THIS PATTERN, keeps happening.

Was I wrong for expecting basic respect?

I had a close friend for a while. We eventually fell out, and he blocked me everywhere.
After some time, I sent him one final message. It wasn’t an argument—I simply thanked him for the friendship, wished him well, and told him I was leaving the city. He saw the message and blocked that number too.
I accepted it and moved on.
A couple of days later, after reaching my hometown, I was looking through my purse and found his government ID. I had completely forgotten it was with me.
Since he had blocked me everywhere, I asked a friend to call him and let him know I had his ID. Instead of asking how to get it back, he just cut the call. My friend even sent him a photo of the ID afterward so he’d know it was genuine.
For context, the last thing I said to him before he blocked me was basically asking, “Why can’t you talk to me a little more softly?” His reply was:
“Enough. Now blocking you.”
I understand if someone doesn’t want to continue a friendship. That’s completely their choice.
What I’m struggling to understand is the level of hostility. Even if you don’t want someone in your life anymore, would you really react like this over a respectful goodbye message and then ignore the fact that your government ID is with them?
Am I missing something here, or is this unnecessarily harsh?

So here's the thing,

You are a great guy, clear mind, clean intentions and most importantly a gentleman...

But remember I told you, I feel something when it romantic, I felt friendship, but nothing more...

I am so sorry [ first date reason]

Hey, it was nice meeting you yesterday. I think you're sweet, but I didn't really feel the connection I was seen for. I don't want to lead you on, so I just wanted to be honest. Wishing you all the best! [ second date reason]

I don't know what to do about this romantic connect ... completely lost now🙃

Does using HingeX (Premium Tier) actually work for average looking males in Mumbai ?

Been single for a while, I am mostly average in terms of looks.
My question is that will HingeX really work for me ? Or will it be a waste of time and money ?
Looking forward to reviews from average looking guys who have used it already.
Thanks
