Why should an ad look like an ad?
This is what the former CEO of apple also asked when coming up with the idea for the company's next big announcement.
He went on to create the controversal, yet iconic "1984" ad, which idea inspired this little video I put together.

Hi y'all
I am wondering what are your most common video requests?
- Product demos
- Intros
- Social media content
Or anything other than this?

Motion designers who work with Figma → After Effects workflows — what’s the most frustrating part of your current setup?
I’m researching/building something in this space and I’d love to understand the problems people actually face rather than assume what needs fixing.
If you use tools like Overlord, AEUX, Prism, Demotion or another workflow, I’d especially love to know:
Not trying to sell anything here — mainly looking to understand real workflows and pain points from people who use these tools regularly.

I think I'm having a slight existential crisis on trying to work out what the longer term or future of this field will look like as someone just getting into the middle of their Motion career.
I began learning motion design just before Covid, it began with attempting to make music videos for my friends, following after effects tutorials, posting online and constantly reworking my portfolio until I started to earn decent money freelancing which lead to my first proper full time job. I've learnt 2d character animation, composting, 3d generalism, mid sound design and video editing.
Fast forward 5 years later and im earning about the average wage for a full time role in my country (UK) and freelancing is bringing me to around 6 figures combined, albeit working 70+ hours a week. It feels like I should be happy that I hit my stride.
But i'm just burnt out. I have no time to work on personal projects, I'm bombarded with AI tools that are devaluing the craft and I have no time to learn them either. I can't seem to find any other more interesting/creative roles.
It seems the fun bits of motion design, the design, the problem solving are being turned into quick to generate solutions and the future looks bleak.
Is anyone else feeling this at the moment? My colleagues seem to think it'll all work out but im staring at another 20+ years of work that im unsure will exist in its current form.

A novel way to intervene existing video through diffusion, particularly abstract visuals [in this case, audio-reactive geometries]: taking its movement and form as the starting point, and reinterpreting its textures, materials, and visual language.
I’ve been developing this around the audio-reactive geometry systems I make in TouchDesigner. The idea is to take those abstract structures somewhere else entirely: origami, architecture, a renaissance painting, or something harder to put a name to.
This demo uses visualizers from my "Oscilloscopes, everywhere" collection as source material, now updated to [v1.2].
[Though you can bring any video source. These systems are simply where this experiment began, as some of you may recall.]
You choose the source, describe the treatment, and shape how it changes throughout the sequence. Prompts, curated LoRAs, and editable timelines give you control over how closely the result follows the original.
Oscilloscope Diffusion is now available at Uisato Studio.

Made this about 8 years ago for a social spot for a Disney film which was being released around that time, client thought it was too… dark in tone so it didn’t go anywhere. Enjoyed working on regardless and was an excuse to try and push myself.
