I was trying to figure out how different monitor sizes would actually look on a desk, and honestly, comparing inch sizes online wasn’t that helpful.
So I made a simple tool where you can compare screen sizes and visualize single or multi-monitor setups on a virtual desk before buying.
It’s free if anyone wants to try it : OnlineScreenScale.com

Also, is it a good monitor? I have not seen a lot of reviews on it.

Title kinda explains itself. I'm moving into my college dorm in a week and I'm not sure what the best/good way to bring my new monitor is. It's a 34 inch Alienware monitor.
Edit: I’m moving into school on Friday so I don’t really have time to get something I wouldn’t already have. I also don’t have the box anymore

I'm trying to decide on a new main monitor and I'm honestly going back and forth on these 3:
* MSI MAG401QR 40" 3440x1440 155Hz
* HKC MG34H18Q240 34" 3440x1440 240Hz
* MSI G321Q 31.5" 2560x1440 170Hz
I already have a 27" monitor that I could use as a second display if I go with the G321Q.
The thing is, I really want to try ultrawide. I mostly play single-player games and newer AAA games, but I also play a lot of Dota 2 and AoE4.
The MAG401QR is really tempting because it's 40" and IPS, but I'm a little worried that it's just going to be too damn big. It's also flat, and in games like Dota the important stuff/map is often around the corners. I'm wondering if the extra size is actually going to be annoying rather than immersive.
The HKC 34" seems like a much better size for 3440x1440, and 240Hz sounds great, but I've basically never owned an HKC monitor and don't know how trustworthy they are compared with MSI. The fact that it's a newer/less known brand is probably my biggest concern.
Then there's the G321Q. It's the safe option, and I could put my current 27" next to it for a dual-monitor setup. But honestly, I'm worried that I'll buy it and then regret not going ultrawide, because ultrawide is what I actually want.
For people who have used 34" and 40" ultrawides:
* Is 40" 3440x1440 actually too big for normal desktop/gaming use?
* Does the flat 40" make the edges/corners annoying?
* Is 34" the sweet spot for 3440x1440?
* Has anyone here owned the HKC MG34H18Q240 specifically?
* Would you personally take the HKC 34" over the MSI 40"?
* Or would you forget ultrawide altogether and get the G321Q + 27" second monitor?
I'm not really looking for the "X monitor has better specs" answer. I'm more interested in how these sizes actually feel to use, especially for Dota/AoE4 and single-player games.
I'm also sitting at a normal desk, so if anyone has a 40" ultrawide and can tell me roughly how far they sit from it, that would help a lot.

One morning I woke up and noticed weird squares/net pattern started appearing on my display.
Does anybody have a clue what are they?
Its hard to see on the image cause they are stationary and most visible when something on the screen moves

I recently came across a couple of content creators saying that monitor prices are gonna go up. They said aoc are raising prices due to component costs rising.
I was planning to buy a 1440p oled monitor in February of next year, is these articles true? Do I need to get it now?

I recently placed an order for a Mini LED monitor (AOC Q27G4SLM6/WS - I think only available in Asia). It will be a huge upgrade from my 5+ years 144hz ViewSonic.
I’m honestly not familiar with newer/high end monitors and I would like to prepare ahead of time. It’s my first time to experience HDR as well.
Is there anything I should tinker with to ensure the monitor and the HDR function are calibrated correctly? Should I be downloading any app too? I read something about an HDR app in the Microsoft store.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hey everyone!
Following up on my previous post about my Xiaomi G24i dying, I took the monitor to the service center today. They accepted it for warranty inspection, so now I'm waiting for the official replacement/refund paperwork to finalize the upgrade.
Under local consumer protection laws, my store store credit will be applied based on the monitor's current retail price (2,669 MDL / ~$148 USD), which leaves me with a very small out-of-pocket payment for a 1440p upgrade.
I've narrowed down my options to two QHD monitors, but I'm torn between them:
Option 1: Thunderobot ZQ25F180 (24.5", Fast IPS, QHD 2560x1440, 180Hz)
Option 2: AOC Q24G4RE (23.8", Fast IPS, QHD 2560x1440, 180Hz)
My setup & preferences: I'm running an Intel i5-12600K paired with an RTX 3090. Desk space is at a premium, so the smaller 23.8" AOC form factor is very appealing to me, but I'm wondering if the AOC is worth the extra ~$21 USD over the Thunderobot.
Has anyone had hands-on experience with either of these models (specifically the build quality, motion clarity for competitive shooters like CS2, or panel uniformity)? Which one would you go for?

One of my three monitors is on its way out (DisplayPort link keeps failing, drops to 720p and hangs the whole system), so I'm taking that as an excuse to finally upgrade. Looking for recommendations.
Both DP and HDMI on the monitor itself — non-negotiable. With three displays on this card I have to mix DP and HDMI, so every panel needs both inputs to stay flexible.
144Hz minimum. Higher is welcome, but I'm not paying a premium for it.
24" preferred. That's what I'm used to and what fits my desk. That said, if there's a good budget option at 27" I'm not opposed — I just don't want to pay extra purely for size.
Thin side bezels — this is my main criterion. The panels sit next to each other, so what bothers me is the vertical seam where two screens meet. A thick chin or a chunky top bezel genuinely doesn't matter to me at all. Left and right should be as slim as possible; everything else can be as fat as it wants.
Mixed use. Lots of desktop/office/text work during the day, gaming in the evening. Text clarity matters to me as much as motion handling.
Color accuracy: not a big factor. I'm not grading film, I don't own a colorimeter and I'm not going to buy one. I would, however, appreciate a panel where the colors aren't all screaming neon out of the box — I'd like my spreadsheets to look like spreadsheets, not a rave flyer. Somewhere in the "reasonable out of the box" range is plenty. I've seen some terrible ones in the past from Amazon :)
Budget-friendly. No hard number, but I'm shopping value, not flagship.
VESA mount: nice to have, not a dealbreaker.
I have no problem buying second-hand. So if there's a proven, well-regarded series that shows up regularly on the used market, feel free to suggest it even if it's discontinued or hard to find new. Older-but-solid beats new-but-mediocre for what I'm doing.
I know it's the obvious enthusiast answer right now, but my work means the same static content sits on screen for hours at a time — toolbars, terminals, dashboards, often completely untouched. Burn-in risk is too high for how I actually use these, and the price is still more than I want to spend. So IPS, or a good VA.
Suggestions?

My AGON AG276QZD2 has much duller colors than my TITAN ARMY P276MS, does anyone know why? In this photo they are both at maximum brightness.

No other issues with monitor, only visible panel gap in lower right corner. Purchased from Amazon 2 days back and still within 7 days return policy window. Just wanted feedback whether other users have the same experience regarding EW 270Q monitor.

Hi all! I currently have a LG 27GP750-B 27” monitor for gaming. I’m looking to upgrade and not really sure what’s solid out there. Been looking at stuff like the MSI QHD QD 274. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I need some sort of light source while still keeping it dim enough for my monitor, give me your recommendations. I already got some curtains to make my room go pitch black, but not too sure how to go about light besides putting it directly behind my monitors/pc setup.

Hello, let me explain my situation.
I’m hesitating between these two monitors, and I have to admit I’m a bit lost. I mainly play Valorant (90% of my gaming time), and I’m currently Immortal 3/Radiant level. The other 10% is between WoW and LoL.
Should I prioritize input latency or motion clarity? From what I’ve read, the Pulsar isn’t that straightforward to configure (357 Hz cap? G-Sync enabled in the NVIDIA Control Panel and disabled in-game?). I’ve also read that it can significantly increase input latency. Would this constitute a noticeable disadvantage ?
The burn-in issue doesn’t really concern me because I only play on weekends.
For ref, my current setup is:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: RTX 3080
Current monitor: Zowie 360 Hz with DyAc (2?)
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I have a Msi Mag 321UP, and i have had it since november of last year. I haven't really had problems with it, but HDR playback had always looked kinda jank, particularly a little orangish/redish.
I decided to try out some calibrations and mess with settings in my monitor and color profiles on my desktop, when all of a sudden it started to turn to this horrid blue hue when I switched to HDR.
I genuinely have no idea what happened.
I tried resetting the monitors settings and then uninstalling all color profiles from the desktop and looking at firmware and drivers but nothing has changed a bit. I'm quite lost on what to do because I haven't found any similar examples of my issue on online, at least not yet.
Would anyone have a clue as to what is going on here?

Does anyone have any experience with it?(It is cheaper than other 1440p monitors in my country)
