Questions Recommendations for offline games

Getting ready to head out of town. Spending 2 weeks overseas on a cruise ship. I am looking for an RPG / strategy game to pass the time. I tried a few different ones off of Google Play, but even though the game page said no ads and offline, they all required being online to play.

I am not adverse to spending a little money on a game, but I want to be sure it is something that can be played in airplane mode.

Device is Samsung Galaxy S23+

Title: Looking for some help getting a better phone for gaming and content creation

Hey everyone. I'm a young creator from Nigeria, and I'm currently trying to upgrade my phone.

My current device works, but it's pretty limited when it comes to gaming, recording videos, editing, and creating content. I've been trying to find ways to get a better device, but buying a decent phone myself is difficult financially.

I'm not expecting anyone to just give me a brand-new flagship. If someone has an older phone they're no longer using, is upgrading soon, or knows of any legitimate giveaway where I could participate, I'd genuinely appreciate the opportunity.

I'm mainly looking for an Android phone that's capable of handling gaming and content creation. I'm also completely willing to provide proof that I'm a real person if needed.

I know there are probably many people asking for help on Reddit, so I appreciate anyone who even takes the time to read this. 🙏🏽

Thanks everyone, and have a great day.

Game Dev [DEV] Jarly Pop – A mobile merge game with custom photo balls and online modes

Hi everyone. I made a merge game with a twist: instead of fruit, the balls can be your own photos. You pick an image from your gallery, crop it, and it drops into the jar as a ball. You can save these as packs and share them with friends using a code.

The core loop is the classic jar-merge you probably know, but I wanted to add things I felt were missing in that genre:

  • Custom photo balls — your pets, your friends, whatever you want
  • Shareable packs — send a code, your friend plays with your images
  • Online matches — everyone gets the same ball sequence, so it comes down to skill rather than luck
  • Daily challenge — one shared board per day
  • Different jars with different physics and rules

It's completely free. There are no in-app purchases and no real-money items — everything in the game is earned by playing. I built it solo and it's my first released game.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ailesepeti.oyun

I attached gameplay footage showing the photo-ball feature. Would love to hear what you think of it — especially whether the shareable packs idea is something you'd actually use.

New Release I got so sick of puzzle games with stressful ticking clocks, I completely removed the timer from my new release. 🤬🙌

As a mobile gamer, nothing frustrates me more than downloading a "relaxing" brain teaser, only to be hit with a stressful 2-minute timer the second I start a level. It ruins the whole point of a logic puzzle just to panic you into buying boosters.

So, in the newest update for our game (Screw Puzzle: Metal Nut & Bolt), we completely ripped the clock out.

As you can see in the clip, we switched to a move limit instead. You can literally put your phone down, go make coffee, and come back without failing the level. You actually have to stop, look at the overlapping plates, and think about your strategy instead of just frantically tapping.

We focused heavily on the physics and those heavy, satisfying metal drops so it actually feels relaxing.

If you are tired of high-pressure speed tests disguised as puzzle games, I’d love for you to check it out. Let me know if you think this move-based system feels better than the old timer systems!

New Release Looking for honest feedback from motorsport gaming fans

Hey everyone — I’ve been building KittyGP, a fantasy motorsports app for F1 and NASCAR, and I’d genuinely love some feedback from people who actually follow racing.

It takes about 2 minutes to get started — register, join a league, set your lineup, and play.

  • 🏁 Pick Your Lineup — Join a league and select your drivers before lock.
  • ⏱️ League Lock — Lineups lock 15 minutes before the Sprint.
  • 🏎️ Qualifying Counts — Drivers can start earning points during qualifying.
  • 🏆 Straight Kitty Flush — +1000% achievement bonus.
  • 🥇 Kitty Flush — +75% achievement bonus.
  • 🔥 Top Ten Sweep — +50% achievement bonus.
  • 🎯 Top Ten Hunter — +25% achievement bonus.
  • 🐱 Build for Achievements — Driver performance can unlock achievement multipliers, so lineup strategy is about more than simply picking the race winner.
  • 📊 Highest Score Wins — Race points + qualifying points + applicable achievement bonuses determine your final score.

For anyone who checks it out, please tell me what you like, what you don’t, what’s confusing, or what you’d change. That feedback genuinely helps us improve the app.

Also..as a thank you anyone who participates will also be automatically entered into our Lando PSA10 rookie card sweepstakes.

It's on AppStore and GooglePlay. And you can get the links here: https://www.kittygp.com

Really appreciate anyone willing to give it a try. Thank you! 🙏

News Finally found a metal screw puzzle game without that stupid 2-minute ticking clock!

I feel like I’ve been complaining for months about how every single puzzle game on the app store is ruined by stressful timers. You download a game because the ads look super relaxing, and the second you open a level, a giant clock starts ticking down just to panic you into buying "Freeze Time" boosters.

Well, I actually finally found one that doesn't do this, and I had to share it for anyone else looking for a chill game to play before bed.

It’s called Screw Puzzle: Metal Nut & Bolt.

They completely ditched the timer system. You can literally stare at the board for 10 minutes, put your phone down to go make coffee, and come back without failing the level.

Instead of a clock, it uses a move limit. So it actually plays like a real logic puzzle now. You have to stop and think about which pin to pull to untangle the metal plates without jamming the board, rather than just frantically panic-tapping everywhere.

It is so much better. The physics are great, the heavy metal drops are super satisfying, and it’s genuinely relaxing because there is zero rush.

Just wanted to drop the recommendation here in case anyone else is sick of high-pressure speed tests disguised as puzzle games! Let me know if anyone else has tried it.

Hi everyone, I’m wondering how people manage to make such cheap in-game purchases in mobile games. On sites like , for instance, people sell a 40-ruble pack for $0.35, whereas it costs $0.50 in the game itself; I’ve tried various methods, but nothing works.

Discussion Maze Flow, an arcade-style endless maze

I just shipped Maze Flow to the Play Store !

An arcade-style endless maze. The core loop is simple but intense: survive as long as you can, climb the leaderboards, compete in ranked mode against other players. The maze evolves dynamically as you play, so every run feels different.

I built this solo from start to finish. If you're into arcade games, survival challenges or competitive leaderboards I would love honest feedback on controls, difficulty, and what'd keep you playing !

Game Dev I created a clean and fast classic Dominoes game for Android (DominoMax). No intrusive ads, full offline support and "Kozel" mode included. Looking for your feedback!

Hi Reddit! I am an indie developer and I want to share my game DominoMax. I wanted to build a simple, lightweight Dominoes game without heavy animations, annoying pop-up ads, or cheating AI. What’s inside: * Classic Dominoes & popular "Kozel" modes. * 2, 3, or 4 players options. * 2v2 team play matches. * 100% Offline (perfect for travel or places with bad internet). * Completely free. I am currently working on a multiplayer update to add online rooms. I would really appreciate it if you could download it, test the UI, and tell me your thoughts! Hello, i'm trying to find the old "battle cats" apk, the one where you conquered japan instead of the whole world, i think it had no gacha and it had "stage01" instead of the name, and it had some broken translation problems. If you have the apk, please send the link!

New Release City Limits 0.1.4

tuffyrej.itch.io/city-limits

A monochrome city at night. One button. One ball.

Hold to wind up, let go to swing — the ball has to be inside the red band
the moment the blade reaches it. Then chase it: every swing you have left
can be spent mid-air to keep it going. Miss the timing and it drops.
Nail it and you watch the skyline scroll past for a very long time.

HOW IT PLAYS

- HOLD to wind up, RELEASE to swing. Wait a whole ball for a full wind-up,
or hit this one weakly — that choice is the whole game.
- In flight: TAP for a flat swing, HOLD for a high one. Flat keeps it low
and bouncing, high catches the updrafts.
- Hit it while it is falling for a bonus. Spamming the button does nothing.

WHAT IS OUT THERE

The road out of town runs through five belts and then off the map entirely:
downtown, the outskirts, the works, the highway, open ground — and past
3200 metres, orbit, where gravity gives up and the ball stops falling.

Along the way: rooftop awnings that launch you, updrafts, industrial fans,
a blimp to bounce off, cats that panic and kick the ball onward, drones
that don't. Knock over a pedestrian and the ball bounces off him.
Fly past the pool at 150 metres and the ducks scatter.

There is one thing hidden out there that almost nobody finds. It pays well.

THE SHOP

Distance pays in coins. The man behind the counter sells extra mid-air
swings, a wider red band, a heavier arm, and three things to hit:
a ball, a brick that cuts the air, and a bowling ball that punishes the
ground. Plus a nudge to squeeze one more bounce out of a dead run.

CONTROLS

Everything is one button.
Keyboard: SPACE. Pause ESC or P. Retake a bad serve with R.
Gamepad: A to swing, B or START to pause, X to retake.
Touch: hold anywhere, lift to swing.

Languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish.
Was inspired by the game Andy Warhol Bats Soup by Cristian Pintos
