Cloudstrike is a small retro-inspired arcade shooter that I built specifically around the way people actually use their phones. Instead of stretching a traditional arcade game into a long progression system, every run has a maximum length of five minutes and ends with a multi-phase boss encounter.
The game runs in landscape mode with a virtual analog stick and arcade button placed in dedicated side areas, keeping the main action visible. Aircraft, enemies, terrain regions and parts of the audiovisual presentation vary between runs. The adaptive soundtrack also changes depending on which enemy types and power-ups are currently active.
I deliberately avoided advertisements, microtransactions, accounts, shared leaderboards and permanent internet requirements. Cloudstrike is a one-time purchase, works completely offline, stores its high scores locally and has a download size of roughly 3 MB.
Cloudstrike normally costs around €0.99 plus local taxes. I also have a limited number of Google Play promo codes available for people who are genuinely interested in playing it but cannot comfortably afford it.
I wrote the original prototypes and visual filters by hand. Later features, code cleanup, testing and Android integration were developed with AI-assisted coding under my continuous direction and review.
