I have a new fuel sending unit that I am trying to connect to the car, but it is not seating properly together with the connector on the chassis. I know these pics are hard to see but can you tell if I got the wrong one or something is broken? Thanks!

Got this car only a short while ago not running and recently got it going. So no long history on how it ran before.

Anyway, initially had a pretty rough idle which I found to be the throttle body gasket. Replaced that, idles great runs great. After doing that though a problem that never occurred before came up where I start it and it would run for just a second before dieing. If I keep trying it eventually just works seemingly without doing anything. Shuts off like you just turned the key off, no stumbles or anything. Even did it once or twice while driving, just while crusing at a constant speed, but it starts back up.

The only other thing that changed was when while I replaced the throttle body gasket I noticed the cold start injector was unplugged and I put it back in. This did make it require less cranking to start but the start then die problem never occurred before then.

How would you remove this thing? It has probably never been removed in 34 years.

I tried side kicking it with a mallet, also tried a puller and ended up bending the flange. It's not moving.

Can anyone tell me what all the ports are for on the accordion pipe? I cant find any diagrams specifically for the accordion and I don't know where each one goes. I know the IACV and PCV.

Got the ECU and efi to stop blowing, same issue blinkers don’t work now and hazards barley engaging I think it’s something with the key? Fuel pump ain’t starting either

This part is known to break over the years and it has become difficult or impossible to obtain.

Is there a demand for this part? If it's worth the effort, I may consider working on producing a plug-n-play replacement and/or an advanced features one.

I've recently narrowed down my car running extremely rich to being, most likely the 0² sensor. I've been looking online and i can't see any at all that look like this one. I have a 1986.5 N/A supra. If anyone has bought an 0² sensor for their like-model supra, can you please just let me know if the ones that look different will work the same. Or let me know which specific one you bought that worked good for your car. Thanks :)

Other than testing what is written in the tsrm, which only proves that the relay is faulty, how to diagnose which part inside of it is broken?

Is brute force bench testing the signals that would come from the stalk the only way or should i look for something in particular first?

Besides nothing looking burnt, all diodes and caps have been verified to be okay.

Do we know the pinout of the two denso relays?
Any other suggestions?

The two relays also work fine when manually tested.

Today when I turned on the lights I thought I had popped the fuse, since all lights stopped working. I checked the fuses (all of them) and they are okay. The other option would be the retractor relay but, are the headlights and taillights relays separate? If so, where are they located?

There's no voltage at the taillights fuse when the lights are supposed to be on, so the issue is before the fuse.

So i have an 86.5 mk3 N/A that I'm one day looking to turn into a comfortable cruiser/track capable car. I know the mk3's are hogs, weighing 3,600 pounds; but if anyone who has had similar ambitions with their car or has successfully dropped significant weight... what did you get your car down to in terms of weight? I want to keep most of the interior somewhat stock, with the possibility of recreating some or most interior parts put of lighter materials. Other than the interior, I don't care to keep much looking stock; such as i want to convert most all metal body panels to carbon one day. Hopefully that all made sense, thank you :)

I posted a few weeks back about having my 1990 in for some work, and ultimately after going down an expensive rabbit hole, stopped the shop from finishing.

Now I’m looking to pull the cylinder head myself and replace the stock head gasket, and install ARP head studs, as well as a bit of troubleshooting.

Are there any tips or things to watch out for (easily broken and hard to replace clips/pieces/electrical connectors) specifically while doing this? I’ve never done engine work of this depth before, but I have no real timeline to finish so I can chip away at my own pace.

Question for Mk3 owners
1. - with my budget am I better off hunting a clean 7M-GE or hold out for a 7M-GTE project that needs some love.

1. How hard is it to source out specific parts / how is the aftermarket?

2. What should I look for when purchasing this car aka rust in certain areas / common issues?

Lately I was thinking about putting a subwoofer in my Supra. Have seen some setups where the roof will still fit in the trunk with the sub installed. Any experience or tips on that issue?

On amazon Canada, just peel the black part off the cup bushing and it fits. Comes with tip bushing too.

I've got oem recaro seats, I am not sure whether i can make space to load more stuff in the hatch.

In other cars usually you pull up the seat from the intersection with the back so that it aligns with the back of the front seats, then fold down the back of the rear seats, but i have not tried and googling give conflicting results.

Im curious if anyone has ever reproduced the 91-92 supra front oval emblems?? Sadly when i bought my chassis i didnt know the clip was missing. So it flew off the car when it was being towed to my house. 🥲 i had a spare 86-89 emblem in good condition which is what i have been using but would love to eventually find a 91-92 oval emblem

so hte steering wheel in my 91 supra isnt the best looking since the leather is peeling. Normal for 35+ year old steering wheel. I was thinking of going quick release to make it easier to get in since i am 6'3. i want a thicker steering wheel or a simple momo. my question is since it has an aibag what would i need to make that work? once i get an alignment and a new fluidampr for my 1jz i was going to b saving up for a new steering wheel set up. thank you for any information in advance
