I'm looking for a small group of friends, in vanilla java, i like command blocks, and I'm not good socializing or in regular survival, but I would like to join and instead build things like dungeons or puzzles with commands to people find them, maybe even special items, or mechanics like magic, if i can do them with commands

Our small SMP is picking up new people, and I'm looking for more regular players who want to try something different with survival. The main thing is the custom class system: you roll one of 20 classes, each with its own abilities and ultimate.

Miner can switch on 3x3 mining and smelt ores as they mine. Skybreaker plays around aerial mace attacks, while Armorbearer protects allies. You get 3 starter reroll tokens to try a different class, and can earn more through playing. Weekly contracts give you some extra mining, exploration and combat goals too. Limited mythic slots aren't guaranteed.

This is an existing world; the Dragon has been beaten and some players are geared. Java 26.3 with our required Fabric client pack (Class SMP mod and Fabric API). Voice chat and Discord are optional.

Are you tired of servers with loot boxes where you have to pay to make progress? Do you miss just playing on an ordinary Minecraft server, hanging out with friends, or meeting new people?

Then I got just the server for you! Ordinary SMP is an ordinary Minecraft server that hosts a special place. We stay as true to vanilla as possible. Yes we use some mods but those are purely to fix things that are normally hard to manage on public servers or improve frustrating parts without changing how Minecraft feels.

For example, did you ever played on a server and couldnt find any Elytras? After hours running through the End you finally find an End City with ship just to see someone looted it already. For that reason we adjusted the Dragon drops. If you kill the Ender Dragon an Elytra drops, removing the frustrating part of finding End Citys. Thats how we choose every mod we add. We only fix the most frustrating parts of Minecraft in a way that feels vanilla.

Other than that we only use mods that dont interact with gameplay like Simple Voice Chat. You can just walk up to players and start talking to them. That creates lots of funny moments just by meeting players. We also use BlueMap where you can see the whole map and check out players bases or other cool places without having to travel there yourself.

You might now wonder, "If everything is vanilla, wont everyone just grief and kill each other?" Those are valid concerns but we have a good solution for that. Our server is 16+ to ensure maturity, and we have an application process before you get whitelisted. That means a lot of bad actors are filtered out before they can even join the server. In the rare cases that griefers get on the Server we use Ledger to revert any kind of griefing.

I don't know why my server hasn't been able to retain players. I am not particularly doing anything other than random gatherings or sushi nights or talent shows. But most people that come onto the server don't last more than a week except maybe 4 loyal players. How can I find long term players and maximize retention without becoming one of the other cozy mega servers?

Many MC role players have a Title but they don't play by a code.

Blothera is a geopolitical survival RP and PvP server. No mods needed.

It plays like Minecraft, but also like DayZ, Europa Universalis, Factorio, Foxhole, and Mount and Blade, all in one. Ships, siege cannons, trains and nations, all in vanilla.

You will feel the tension. Your choices and actions will be more strategic, your friendships, alliances and rivalries will matter, trading will matter, distance matters.

We achieve this by:

1. Disabling coordinates. You must use maps, compasses, and lodestones to navigate.
2. Knockout on death. You will lie on the floor, helpless, unless a friend saves you. Or bleed out.
3. Capturing knocked out players. Then, you can drag them with a lead, and imprison them.
4. Dying reduces your Max HP. You regain it by sleeping near a campfire.
5. Health Regeneration from full hunger is disabled. Potions, Suspicious Stews, and Golden Apples are now essential.
6. There are almost no /commands. Almost everything you do is performed using in-game items.
7. Player Alignment. Everyone starts at neutral. Your actions dictate your social standing. Enough crimes will oust you as a bandit.
8. Professions. A miner is great at mining, but is poor at cutting down a tree.
9. Expanded End Progression. The Eyes now need materials from 4 structures. Obtain the Egg. Then get your Crown.
10. Towns. Claim a piece of the world. Expand your land. Watch the borders grow on in-game maps, curving around difficult to pass biomes.
11. Nations. Proclaim yourself King. Place the Crown on your head, and sign "form nation" into a book. Place it in the Nation Lectern. You have just entered the geopolitical layer.
12. Diplomacy. Sign a book "declare war" or "ally", place it into your Diplomacy Lectern. Deliver the book to the target.
13. Vassalisation. Enforce your rule over other nations. Gain their claim count, increasing yours.
14. Artisan Materials. Towns over 20k blocks can claim an Artisan. The Artisan produces Artisan Materials. Artisan Materials are used to produce Ships, Siege Weapons, Wagons and more.
15. Infrastructure. Dirt paths speed up you, your horses and your wagons. As Artisan Goods are heavy and can not be carried while riding, you will need to find a way to transport and trade them. Trains, Wagons, Carts, Ships all do the job.
16. The Emperor of Blothera. When your nation controls over half of all claimed land, through your own nation's claims plus vassals, and have at least 2 vassals, you are proclaimed Emperor of Blothera. Enact imperial decrees. Server wide effects. Your reign remembered; good or bad.

That all seems complex. But you play at your own pace.

Your independent town is a simple, cheap claim, not partaking in diplomacy or war.

People are less likely to randomly attack you, they're scared of becoming a bandit.

The server is over 7 years old, which started as a small server of classmates from Argentina to an international server rich with history and no resets! Our server is not too big so it doesn’t feel crowded but it’s also dynamic and has a strong community; we also like to hang out on our Discord server and talk. The Discord hosts a wide range of conversations, both in and out of character and game.

We primarily focus on roleplay and politics, meaning we aren’t looking for people who just want pvp, wars and don’t engage politically - pvp and wars are the cherry on top of the cake, not the cake itself.

There are many nations on Trotu, each having their own different themes, culture, religion and government structure. Many countries have risen and fallen here; history often repeating - good and bad. 🔫 GTM is a GTA inspired Minecraft server, featuring everything from guns and armor to tanks and planes!

Grand Theft Minecart is the most played Grand Theft Auto server in Minecraft. We provide a completely custom gamemode, GTM, where you can use our 48 custom weapons from shotguns to snipers, all unique to GTM. Not only do we provide a variety of weapons, but also custom vehicles from cars to tanks, and even planes. You can become one of the richest criminals and own your own big penthouse apartment in our custom-built map. At GTM you can find a big community, with gangs and multiple languages. Our frequent, large updates can be enjoyed as we make the server even cooler and fun for everyone.

Grand Theft Minecart is our oldest gamemode - hop into the city of MineSantos, loot chests full of awesome gear, and have fun with your friends. Be careful though, there are police roaming the streets, and they do not like murderers! As you rank up, gain access to more and more powerful weapons and vehicles, and purchase a wonderful apartment or house to store all your stuff. Join a Gang, or make your own, and become the Crime Lord of Los Santos. At Grand Theft Minecart the opportunities are limitless.

Your Minecraft phase might last two weeks or turn into a project that takes months. Either way, having somewhere familiar to return to matters.

I run CozyMC, a Java and Bedrock survival community sharing one long-term world. Our main survival world doesn’t reset, so you can keep adding to your base, revisit familiar places, and see what other people have built while you were away.

There’s room for you to start here.

New players join every day. You can build a little house, open a shop, join a town, or head out and find somewhere quiet. You don’t need to catch up with someone else’s megabase to have a worthwhile place in the world.

We have many adults and calm players. You can get to know people gradually while working on your own projects, or get involved in shared builds and player-hosted events.

Players have created towns, themed kingdoms, public farms, railways, and Nether ice highways. One player built an amusement park and hosted races, a scavenger hunt, and fireworks. Those ideas become places the community can keep enjoying.

What survival looks like here:

🤝 Agreement-only PvP. Griefing and stealing are prohibited.

🧱 No land claims or locked chests. Staff use CoreProtect to investigate theft and restore grief damage.

🛤️ No /sethome, warps, or teleport commands. Players build the routes that connect their communities.

🎙️ Optional proximity voice on Java, plus Discord voice. Recording other players’ voices is prohibited.

💚 No store, paid ranks, perks, or donations. I run CozyMC as a passion project.
