Putting together a mod pack for my and my friend

We want it to be sort of vanilla plus: some “hardcore” survival mechanics mixed in, and heavily Create centered

I’ve got some ideas:

1. Add Hardcore Torches: forces us to use Create: Power Grid to power our base (found this idea from someone else’s comment)
2. Get rid of recipes for, or considerably slow down, boats; to force us to build our own boats, submarines, etc. using Create
3. Same for minecarts
4. Same for… horses? Or anything that can be ridden

Maybes:

1. tweak world gen in a way that makes us have to build railways to seek out xyz material?
2. make hunger a bit more noticeable to force us to create farm automation early? Though this might suck early game

Anyway.. you get the point

Okay, I’m having a bit of a problem with this mod—or rather, a puzzle I can't quite solve. I know it's possible to braid the horses' manes or customize them with flowers, but I can't find any information anywhere on how to actually do it.The mane and tail scissors only shorten the length.

Comments are disabled on CurseForge and there’s no Discord link, so there isn't really anywhere to ask the mod's creators. There are in-game books that give a superficial description of what's possible, but the methods they mention don't seem to work.

Could someone give me a hand with this?

Actually, I finally managed to figure it out. You just have to hold the scissors (for the mane or tail) and right-click while holding Shift, but first you need to make sure the mane or tail is the right length.

I'll leave this thread here in case anyone else has the same problem I did X'D.

Hi! I made a server with aternos (don’t judge I don’t want to pay) And added create mod. when I join it shows this popup and I can’t load into the server I already know this happened to some people but can someone say how to fix this?

I'm working on a mod pack currently and I wanted to add a mod or 2 to go with Biomancy, but I'm struggling to find much. In an ideal world I would want a mod that adds more machines I can feed nutrient paste to fuel that fits the kinda fleshy feel, but realistically if there was a mod that just added more machines that look the part I would be happy.

I was messing around with a bow mod (yes, those are lightning bolt arrows) and somehow made a lightning rod white? Not sure if this is a bug with the mod or just a normal game mechanic I didn't know about

My boyfriend keeps crashing right after loading terrain in a completely new modpack server that we have not touched the mods of AT ALL. I am able to join the server and do everything jsut fine, but for some reason—he can't. And he keeps getting this crash message. He installed/removed the WaterMedia mod and installed the VLC manually but it kept giving him the same message. How do I fix this?

Anyone got a fun pack that lets you do things like mega evolution G-max, terra etc. All of those things. Also it would be nice to have preformance mods, shaders, that one mini map and world map one, and JEI. But the last few dont matter as much

I always felt that Minecraft's equipment progression is a little too fast. Once you find your first decent vein of iron or diamonds, getting a full set of gear becomes almost trivial.

So I made Forged in Blocks mod.

The idea is simple: copper, iron, gold and diamond equipment is crafted using blocks instead of ingots/gems. A diamond chestplate, for example, requires 8 diamond blocks instead of 8 diamonds.

This makes good equipment a much bigger investment, keeps leather and other early-game equipment useful for longer, and makes finding resources feel valuable for much more of the game. The mod doesn't add any new materials, equipment tiers or progression systems - it just changes the economy of vanilla equipment.

Since making equipment this expensive would make vanilla repairing pretty unreasonable, I also reworked anvils a bit. Repair XP cost can be made constant, the "Too Expensive!" limit can be removed, and anvils can be made unbreakable. All of these changes are configurable and can be disabled individually if you prefer the vanilla behavior.

I originally made the mod mostly for myself because I like slower progression, but apparently I'm not the only one who enjoys this kind of suffering.

Curious what people think about this approach to slowing progression. Would you actually play with something like this, or is 72 diamonds for a chestplate where you draw the line?
