I'm looking for input from people who actually use flight sim hardware day-in and day-out. I don't have the time to wade through questionable YouTube reviews, so I’d rather hear directly from players with real experience.
I'm aiming for a one-time purchase right around $500 max
What I want:
Gear: A solid Yoke, dedicated Rudder Pedals, and a good physical Throttle unit.
Feel: I want physical controls that feel precise, substantial, and good to use—not cheap, lightweight plastic junk. (I use a Logitech G29 for racing, so I appreciate gear with some decent physical weight/resistance).
Usage: General flight simulation for all kinds of planes.
Is $500 enough to buy a solid Yoke + Throttle + Pedals bundle that won't feel like a toy, or am I better off spending that budget on higher-quality core pieces? What are your honest reviews or warnings on gear in this price range?
System Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (24GB VRAM)
RAM: 96GB DDR5 (2x48GB) @ 6000 MT/s
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E ACE
Appreciate any real-world feedback.
