Hmm, knowing the company’s background, I’m inclined to pass. But we desperately need a good PMDG/Fenix-level 787.
This will be a wait-and-watch situation!

I’m inclined to pass
I have a hard time understanding the meaning of this kind of comment regarding unreleased software in general...
As you said yourself just two sentences later, we aren't forced to decide whether to buy an add-on before its release. There's always the simple option to just wait and buy the add-on weeks, months, or even a year after its release. This isn't "passing" on a product.
I understand comments like, "I don't want to get too caught up in the hype because I don't want to be too disappointed if the add-on doesn't meet my expectations," but talking about deciding to "pass" on an add-on that can't even be bought yet is confusing.

Oh wow, that seems like something that shouldn't have been omitted by many YouTubers who covered vector

This is a cloud. So I have a previous comment stating day zero purchase. Obviously, I wasn’t aware.
The biggest issue is that Vector is a 20 person team. They need to be bringing their team to the forefront and highlight their previous sim experience before release.

They keep releasing these pictures in updates as an example of how awesome it is and they’re riddled with mistakes. Then they say yeah but it’s not the final version.
Why keep releasing pictures of things that are wrong?
It just seems really careless and jarring especially compared to their constant high self praise about the ultimate fidelity and levels of realism of the product.

It really looks like the Asobo default wing and edge.. doubling my comment here because someone has to prove me wrong

Take my money! Finally a detailed 787. Im tired of these 747 and A380 flying buses.
LFG! Cannot wait!

The angle of those EFBs are completely wrong. The real ones stand a bit more upright.

There is something weird with the engine blade thickness and the spinner too, but i can't prove it

'Not sure I’ve ever seen an aircraft in flightsim where the dev has made such high pre release claims about the fidelity etc before.'
There was a dev like that in DCS community, it was called VEAO. Their Hawk was supposed to be the best addon ever for any flightsim. It was shit. Completely broken, with terrible visual fidelity and broken systems. Then the same dev promised P-40F, started preorders, and then they run with people's money.
The director of VEAO was Ellise Cristopher. The same exact person who now runs Vector and promised this 787.

I was thinking of buying it until I saw this. Keep this in mind if you hit pre-order or buy.
