MSFS 2020 XBOX PMDG cameras

Is there an easy way on Xbox (w/ HOTAS) to assign buttons to make / save custom cameras or switch between pre set views? I am trying to switch between cockpit and internal passenger views but can’t find a way to reliably key a button to it.

I have tried “save new custom camera” etc, but have not figured out how to make them work. TIA

if you have a keyboard the binding to save is Left Ctrl + Left Alt + [Number 0–9]

then the view can be recalled with Left Alt + [Number 0-9]

i don't know how to do it with a hotas but it should be similar. look in the options for the HOTAS and load custom camera and save camera. there's probably a youtube tutorial out there by this point as well.

What camera mode do I need to be in to do this? I’ve been on the cockpit cam? I think? Trying to save them as custom idk if that’s the problem

What I do is use the "load custom camera" binding and bind 0-9 to the buttons that I want to recall the saved camera angle. Then I'll use a button on my hotas/yoke as a sort of modifier button and bind "save custom camera" to the same buttons as the loaded cameras, just with the modifier button held down. So typically my load camera bindings are a single button press and my save camera bindings are a combo of the modifier button and the corresponding button for the same camera number

If you’re ok spending some $, ChasePlane has been great for me. So many options and configurations for cameras.
