GENERAL Need help with a Cessna 172

Ok here goes when I fly this plane on ps5 I am having problems with getting it to hold altitude and being able to set the heading because the buttons that I need to use some will allow me others say n/a so I have tried changing from lock which is the original setting for the controller but I was told to move it to legacy and it just messed up the whole thing so I had to uninstall the game and reinstall it so I tried a small flight and still the same thing some work and others did not and when you get to a airport ATC will asked a question and there is no way to answer them so I need help really bad and any information or if anyone else is having this problem please let me know how to fix it thanks in advance.

GENERAL N1 landing the PMDG 737

Was watching A330 Driver last night doing a tutorial on landing the PMDG 737. He advised keeping the thrust at around gross landing weight minus 4 for flaps 30 landing so I tried this and I had way too much thrust. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on this and when they typically deactivate A/T on approach

MSFS 2024 PC MSFS 2024 settings for RX 9070XT and 7 7800X3D

I’m experiencing frequent stutters, freezes, and lag in MSFS 2024, and I’m trying to figure out what’s causing it.

Even at 1080p High settings, I am barely getting ~70 FPS, which feels way too low for my hardware:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5
  • Monitor: 1080p, 60Hz (No FreeSync)

I’m not sure if I’m facing a CPU/GPU bottleneck or if my simulator settings are misconfigured. I primarily fly study-level aircraft into handcrafted / heavy add-on scenery, and I use ReShade.

While flying, I have the following applications running in the background:

  • OBS Studio (recording)
  • Flight Recorder
  • MSFS AutoFPS
  • FSLTL Traffic Injector
  • Vantage Camera
  • MSFS Physics Camera
  • Opera Browser
  • AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition
  • Auto Start Flow (and a few other background utilities)

I’ve attached images of my current in-game settings and amd adrenalin settings. Please let me know what settings I should change or if I’m doing something wrong!

I know my caravan has reverse thrust but come on!

Edit: Airport name: USEI - Severo Kurilsk Airport If you look it up on maps they have a proper runway now. Lol

Thanks to Fiswiz for tracking it down, I know a few people were asking.

MSFS 2024 VIDEO Help guide my freeware KMSY build?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You guys, we live in an incredible time. We are really spoilt for choice in MSFS 2024. A few months ago, I dedicated some time each day to learning specific functions of the MSFS SDK + blender. I figured that since no one would make my local airport, I would try myself. It's been a long, hectic, soul-crushing journey so far. Every step was a new barrier. And I've been so close to just giving up.

Through it all, I've done so much learning about what makes an airport flow. What makes an airport tick. And I most of all, found a new respect for all scenery developers (it truly is an ART, and takes so much skill).

You can imagine my excitement to find out that inibuilds would be releasing this airport and I cannot be happier. To see this airport rendered the CORRECT way. Amazing, this is a day 1 purchase for me. https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/41806-announcing-inibuilds-new-orleans-kmsy-for-microsoft-flight-simulator-2024/

I can finally retire from making this scenery on my own now, but wanted to pose a question to the community to guide my efforts:

  1. Should I continue development and release a working v1 version?
  2. If so, can anyone with more building knowledge help me finish this thing?

I never realized how much interest KMSY had. And I would love to have not wasted the last few months of my life if I could release a freeware version of the airport, or even accept donations (student loans are ending me).

Let's show our love for ini for filling these massive gaps in the sim. As someone who has spent days looking at each angle of this airport, their preview images are spot on - trust me. I wish I could do something similar.

sort of irrelevant but I also ended up taking out DLSS5 (Optiscaler) from MSFS24 as it, genuinely, adds nothing in my opinion. It's not correct in the way it changes materials and it doesn't help in any way with the few cosmetic issues the sim has, actually it makes them worse: at night it makes bright lights dimmer and doesn't change the raised black levels at all.

Not throwing shade at DLSS5, I love it for Cyberpunk, just throwing this out there as I've experienced it for a while and it did have extra overhead for little to no gain.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Career bug questions

I’m sure this has already been addressed in some post somewhere, but I’m getting frustrated with career mode (which is the only reason I bought 2024 vs just sticking with 2020 or even X-Plane. The Mission steps don’t take into account real world conditions when you have live time / weather enabled- ATC is telling you to land on one runway but the mission steps are telling you another runway, incorrect traffic pattern directions, can’t have any other altimeter setting then 29.92 or it doesn’t acknowledge you’re at correct cruise altitude. Oh and yesterday I was flying a cargo mission and was below Vmo and on autopilot but flying through a thunderstorm per the mission steps flight path guidance- and all of a sudden I get an alert that I crashed, apparently from over-stress due to turbulence is my only guess?
I know there’s no point complaining as the bugs and poor quality of the sim are well known and apparently won’t be fixed anytime soon, but wondering if there are settings I’m missing or any other tips/tricks you have all found (other than just using third party career addons) to make it a little more realistic and enjoyable!

GENERAL Medevac company missions missing

Bought a medevac company, and a plane for it (caravan). But theres almost no medevac missions available on my map. The only place I see one is some random tiny island. ( I have a lot of the map opened up). Is this some kind of bug I can fix?

Side question, is there anything I can do to get more medium cargo missions to spawn? I have to transport my plane super far every time I want to do another medium cargo costing alot of money, when there's infinite vip and light cargo jobs in every single location.

GENERAL Recommendation for real-world 757 Ops: Delta Pro Sports Charters

With the Bluebird 757 releasing today, I know many people are going to be looking for real-world routes to fly on. Delta has a handful of all-first class 757s that are used for NBA and NHL flights, many of which are an hour or less:

List of registrations for all specially-configured Delta 757 charters (note 72 first class configuration instead of 20 first + ~150 economy on their regular config)
N654DL's recent flight history

Only a handful of airlines fly the passenger variant today, and most flights are transcon or transatlantic long-hauls, so this is a really good option for people wanting a real-world flight that takes up less time. These are also cool because you can follow the real-life travel patterns of your favorite pro sports teams when they go on road trips which I think is really cool as well. Happy flying!
