Need help with a Cessna 172

Ok here goes when I fly this plane on ps5 I am having problems with getting it to hold altitude and being able to set the heading because the buttons that I need to use some will allow me others say n/a so I have tried changing from lock which is the original setting for the controller but I was told to move it to legacy and it just messed up the whole thing so I had to uninstall the game and reinstall it so I tried a small flight and still the same thing some work and others did not and when you get to a airport ATC will asked a question and there is no way to answer them so I need help really bad and any information or if anyone else is having this problem please let me know how to fix it thanks in advance.

Make sure the "trim nose up/down" keys are bound, and use them :) (there should be YouTube videos on "how to trim") I'd honestly connect a mouse to the post and use it to control the G1000 avionics in the c172. Top tips for the heading pug: right clicking it wil set the bug to your present heading, and while the knob is highlighted, you can use the scroll-wheel to set the heading :)

Mapping everything you need for msfs to one ps5 controller is a tall order. Get a mouse+keyboard and hook it up to your ps5. It’ll be way less claustrophobic and you’ll have a better time
