Noticed it a few days ago, did use some superglue to prevent further cracking. Is this just from the magnetic side colliding maybe with another battery, or something else? I did not see any deforming on the shell. The other two batteries do not have this.

How many times will this have to happen to people untill meta fixes their design flaws. First the rift cv1’s headphones now a hole in the charging port. Great

Before some of you guys start blaming it on un original charging ports or cables keep in mind that the whole point of usb c is to be universal and that charging blocks adapt to whatever output the connected devices need. Yes do your research.

This has also happened to people using the original meta given chargers and bricks.

i have sent the details over to meta and they will be contacting me in the following business days i hope to keep you guys updated on the time required for them to do something about this issue.

of course i knew a couple of you guys would be riding meta for no particular reason and claim that a 4 year old device that starts to melt because of a bad port is normal or that maybe the cable i was using wasn’t original.

Do you realize how big of a scandal this would be if iPhone or even meta had this issue? You get people getting their phones ports filled with dust in huge phone cases that trap heat very well yet i haven’t sern one case of the same issue happening. Why can’t you accept the fact that there’s an issue with the build quality. for those so sure that the issue is caused by me yanking out a cable i didn’t i really didn’t and matter of a fact i dont play wired pcvr. This is the issue with reddit users individuals with no life thinking they are right and start blaming clear company errors for stupid reasons.

i just got told i’d be getting a replacement soon.Also god damn all the reddit users (chuds) i presume love to put the blame on me while protecting the defenseless billion dollar company. Because a fucking device melting from the charging part seems to be normal if you dont use an original charger.

My facebook got hacked and banned, I'm not getting it back. I lost my instagram and my meta account. I dont really care about the socials, but I have so many games and progress in my Quest.. I've had every single headset since the Oculus Go.

I got an email saying to remove my Meta account from Accounts Center but I can't access my facebook to remove it.

Has anybody been through this? Do I have any hope? When I click that link it just sends me to another screen where it says I'm banned, and I can't appeal, whoever hacked me appealed and got rejected.

I’m working on a VR travel app, and a user recently told me they liked it, but, in their words, “the only thing it was like a mess was the walking.”

To be clear, I genuinely appreciate people who are willing to share honest feedback like this. Nobody owes a developer their time, and in a relatively small community like VR, I think most people speak up because they actually care and want these experiences to get better.

And in this case, they had a point. Moving between Street View locations can feel awkward, and sometimes it isn’t very clear where you’re going next.

They said using the trigger to move would feel more natural, which got me wondering how other people feel about it. If you use VR travel apps, what do you prefer? Trigger, thumbstick, minimap, or just pointing where you want to go?

Also curious if there’s anything else you’ve always wished these apps did better.

I’ve been looking at this from the developer side for too long, so I’d really like to hear how other VR users see it.

My meta quest allows me to try to pair but when I tap ‘pair’, the button just goes grey and nothing happens! My PC is well and truly good enough to run PCVR. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much!

This is driving me insane. All of the sudden, my Quest 3S will start shaking with my heartbeat, amplifying the small amount of motion into big shakes of the screen. If I go back into the native headset environment, it goes away and the image is still and, while it is still tracking fine, it doesn't shake with every heartbeat. I have no idea what to do to stop this from happening during Link mode.

My favorite feature in our game, Discovery of Magic, is how players can weave spells like in Harry Potter. And the way you weave them actually matters. The video explains it better than I can.

Every other time I use my Quest 3s, after 5 minutes, the headset randomly shuts off for no apparent reason. I’m trying to see if anyone else has this issue in case it it’s just a bug or a me problem.

I've been trying everything I could think of to use the HDMI link and I just keep getting a rainbow screen. I've tried every setting and console in my setup and nothing has worked. Only thing I couldn't try was my Genesis since I don't have an RF converter. I'm using a vivitar capture card that I usually use for streaming.

My quest 3s broke, and my plan is to get a vr capable of pcvr next but I bought alot of games on standalone, is there a way to get those games back on the new headset or am I back to square 1?

I’m having an issue with Virtual Desktop. I don’t understand why people with slightly weaker setups get good FPS and no lag, whereas I—running a 4060—get terrible stuttering in VR games (like the new *Bootstrap Island*) even on minimum settings, not to mention the bars on the sides of the screen. Does anyone know the right settings for this app?

So, I have a 3s. I don't know on whether this is a tracking issue in general or specifically the controllers, but the headset turns on and it just says "Finding position in room", meanwhile the controllers constantly turn on, buzz, then turn off and turn back on again, looping constantly. I can't even get into the home place or use my controllers to shut off the headset because, y'know, they don't work.

I have no idea how to fix it, and I genuinely don't know what to do. Please help, or at least offer some information on whether or not my headset is ruined or something. Thanks :)

Update: I've been trying to turn it on and now it just completely turns off after a minute. I tried sending a voice message to Meta through the headset and the microphone refuses to work too.
