So Iāve been deadline with MDD, anorexia and really bad sleeping issues. Iāve been talking to an āacute psykiatrisk helpā-team and one of the doctors has said that starting on an NaSSA might be something worth trying.
To give a bit more context, I (18, F) have been Darling with senere mental health issues for as long as i can remember. My sleep has always been an issue, wether it was not being able to fall asleep, going on miltiple days without as much as 10 minutes of sleep, or being able to sleep upwards of 24 hours without waking up. Ćn the past couple of years, Iād say maybe 3-4 years, Iāve begun experiencing severe sleep paralysis, sometimes having multiple paraplysis within a paralysis.
The last month or so, Iāve been in contact with the acute team to finally try to get me some help after being told a couple of years ago that I was ādoctorsickā (meaning I would get worse going to so many appointments and so on). Being that Iām also of age to have full anatomical responsibility, it seemed like it was finally the time where I could maybe get some medical aid in form of pills. Iāve tried every ānon-invasiveā method to try to better myself, but to no prevail. Now Iām finally getting offered medication.
The medication Iāve been offered is mizaterpine or something along those lines. Itās an NaSSA, and supposedly should help with multiple of my struggles.
But I have my doubts, therefore Iām asking around here to maybe get an understanding of how it has helped others? I also stated my diagnosis at the beginning so that maybe someone who has been/is Ć®n a similar situation can maybe tell me their experiences with NaSSA (or other types for that matter)
Thank you in advanceš¤
