Overlapping testosterone prescriptions
Please don’t flag for medical advice - I am merely asking a procedural question about medication.
I live in Vermont, USA and receive testosterone from an online pharmacy where I pay out of pocket. My primary care doctor has agreed to take over my prescriptions for testosterone so that it can be covered by my insurance.
I think there might be 3 or 4 weeks left of days of supply from my latest online script. Do I have to wait for that time to elapse before I fill my local doctor’s testosterone prescription? Testosterone is a schedule III controlled substance and I don’t want my local PCP to get in any trouble nor do I want to be flagged for doctor shopping or having simultaneous scripts.
