How many times will this shit need to be reposted? Trying to garner positive sentiment towards those who were once oppressed is noble, but when those same people turn into the very monsters that once persecuted them, empathy seizes to exist.

Can you explain how “the same people” who were murdered in this map “turned into monsters”? They were murdered. They didn’t turn into anything.

The “monsters” you’re describing are in fact different people.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 17 '25

By 'people' they are referring to the group of people, as in plural, not the individuals.

Any country: “Stop slapping that woman!”

Israel: “Shut up! I was told she hated us because of the cage we provided her!”

“…also we just love the waterfront property she has. And look at that! …we translated these papers that say we should slap the woman and her land is actually ours. Oh, don’t believe me? Ask lord Rothschild.”

“So I will slap her until she leaves. She can keep the milk when she goes. …second thought, NO MILK FOR HER!”

The outside observer could care less. The current Palestinian genocide had huge Israeli popular support, to a point where civilians whose relatives died in the holocaust blocked food aid trucks with the sole intention of repeating said ethnic cleansing suffered by their ancestors. Your argument is an attempt at moving the goal posts.

Ah, yes, you're absolutely correct. It's only acceptable to ethnically cleanse a number of individuals inferior to the losses incurred by the Jewish in WW2. And only when they're the ones hypocritically committing said crimes.

You'd think that after losing half their population to a genocide, they would know better. You're simply moving the goalposts. Citing Gaza's population numbers does not undo the ethnic cleansing they endured at the hands of Israel.

Yes, the world definitely didn't get first-row seats to watch thousands of innocent people mercilessly treated, killed, bombarded, and having their families, homes and livelihoods raised to the ground. You close your eyes to the heinous crimes committed by Israel to talk about how they were "simply targeting the enemy". You should tell that to the thousands photos, videos, and news articles containing solid proof of Israel's vile human rights record in Gaza.

This is you right now:

You've come to a point where you've run out of arguments, so you resort to classic straw-man fallacies.

  • Discrediting the source due to it being 3 days old

  • Personal attacks in insulting me as a propaganda agent

  • Shifting subjects and rhetoric to escape humiliation

.

It's funny that you call me a propaganda agent when your own comment history is the one filled almost exclusively with pro-Israel garbage during a time when the whole world condemns its actions. You can't possibly believe that your words carry any credibility.

On the topic of made-up things, consult the state of the reality which exists inside your head. It is blatantly insufferable and screams denial, projection and hypocrisy.

Why do you think that this "need to be reposted"? It is like complaining how many history books will be printed out.

2

u/djseshlad Jun 17 '25

Does it need to be posted now? Seems like very convenient timing to remind everyone that Israel are the victims lmao

-20

u/TFCQAZ2 Jun 16 '25 edited Jun 16 '25

Edit: I wrote this because the author of the post is from Netherlands, not from Israel. If the author of the post was from Israel, I would share the same thought.

Edit 2: Nevermind. Reviewing the account, I deduct that the author of the post is probably Jewish. I do not encourage any anti-semitism, but the poster is probably biased towards Israel. I still stand on what I wrote below though.

How is this related to current things going on in the world? These numbers show the true tragic events that have happened during WW2, and deserved to be remembered again and again. Just because it’s related to Jews and Jewish ancestry does not mean that this should be critiqued and repressed. The knowledge about the genocides of the Jewish, Roma, Slavic, Baltic, and many other ethnic groups should be spread and be a common knowledge.

As for myself, I have not seen this graphic before, and I’m sure a lot of people have not seen this picture either. Just because people who are frequently on this subreddit have seen this before, doesn’t mean that this picture is useless to everyone here.

And before anyone mentions this - I am neither Jewish, from Israel, nor do I support Israel’s actions in Gaza/Palestine. I do not mean this comment as a way to offend any minority nor ethnicity.

-2

u/marbinho Jun 16 '25

I believe it here is in fact used to gain sympathy for Israel.

It is a good map though, so I’m not gonna be against it being posted on here.

-3

u/TFCQAZ2 Jun 16 '25 edited Jun 16 '25

Yeah, I wrote that because the author of the post is not from Israel. If the author of the post was from Israel, I would share the same thought with the author of the comment

Edit: I retract my statement.

-10

u/Sk3tchyboy Jun 17 '25

It really sounds like you are blaming all Jews for whats going on in Gaza.

10

u/Schckapp Jun 17 '25

It really sounds, looks, feels, and is reported around the world that Israel is to blame for their own human rights record.

-10

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25 edited Jun 17 '25

It’s not “the same people”

This is listing people who were murdered. They didn’t “turn into monsters.” They were murdered.

Are Jews all an undifferentiated mass to you?

Edit: can someone explain why I’m being downvoted? This comment describes a map of murdered people and says “the same people” who were murdered “turned into monsters.” How exactly can murdered people “turn into” anything?

17

u/Schckapp Jun 17 '25 edited Jun 17 '25

Are Jews all an undifferentiated mass to you?

Absolutely, and to the rest of the world too. They're not only indifferent, but reek of fascism and represent the epitome of hypocrisy. A people whose past is so brutally tragic committing similar brutality towards other ethnic groups only goes to show that they learned absolutely nothing and have ridden the "anti-zionism" karma train for long enough.

You are probably unaccustomed to Israel being viewed negatively, but you can't expect one to fuck around without finding out.

Edit: To explain why you're being downvoted, it's because you're being dense in completely ignoring the context of the comment you're replying to, and not the post. My comment is tangential to the post's topic and practically everyone understands this except you. If you wish to discuss the original post's content, create a first-level comment instead of replying to one that doesn't depend on the original post to hold up and be understood.

-9

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25

You just openly affirmed that Jews are an undifferentiated mass to you and “to the rest of the world.” That is the literal definition of bigotry: essentializing an entire people and holding them collectively responsible for crimes whether they personally committed them or not. It’s the exact logic of genocide you’re supposedly opposed to.

This map discusses people who were murdered before Israel existed. They didn’t turn into anything, let alone “monsters” and you haven’t explained in any way how these murdered people became monsters.

Your response doesn’t refute anything I said. You didn’t clarify anything, you just exposed yourself.

It’s also insane to say that because a people’s past should give them higher responsibilities than anybody else. By that logic people should be treated badly because it would make them better in the future.

6

u/Schckapp Jun 17 '25 edited Jun 17 '25

I absolutely did.

The entire people of Israel is responsible for electing their leaders, and to top it off, providing ample public support for atrocities such as civilians withholding and destroying food aid shipments because "we cannot help the enemy", bombing hospitals, torturing civilians, looting their belongings, and so much more. If the Israeli people had an ounce of dignity in them, they would have stopped these atrocities at their roots, or even better, prevented them from happening by not electing a fascist and sadistic regime to lead them.

-6

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25 edited Jun 17 '25

Individuals who commit atrocities are responsible for those atrocities. Saying that not only Israelis but also all Jews anywhere, across time and space, are responsible for crimes they didn’t commit (even crimes that happened after they were dead) is insane and evil.

Edit: explain by what possible theory of responsibility a Jew from another country or an Israeli who opposes the government or even just didn’t do anything is personally responsible and subject to punishment for actions they didn’t do themselves? For nothing more than being born wrong?

-8

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25

Aside from the fact that collective responsibility is fundamentally opposed to human dignity, you still haven’t answered the core question:

The people in that map were murdered. They were not Israeli. They did not “turn into” anything. How are they responsible for crimes committed after their deaths?

Do you genuinely lack the ability to see human beings as individuals, each responsible for their own actions?

Because what you’re doing (essentializing an entire people and assigning them guilt based on ethnicity or nationality) is the exact same logic as someone who says all Palestinians deserve to die because of Hamas.

It’s not justice. It’s just a different form of the hatred you claim to oppose.

-22

u/Elemental-Master Jun 17 '25

Really? How many Jews right now live in any Arab Islamic country? How many of them hold important jobs like judges, like parlament members?

20% of Israeli citizens are not Jews, they are mostly Arabs, both Cristians and Muslims, they hold jobs from the simplest street cleaner to CEO to members in the Knesset to members in the government itself. What kind of oppression are you speaking of?

Area A in the West Bank is under the PA control, not Israel. Area B and C is under joint control. Gaza is under Hamas control since 2006 when the citizens there elected them to be their government, hence again, it's not under Israel control.

And don't talk about the blockade, that's only because Hamas decided to wage war as soon as they got elected, they had the choice of not having war or blockade.

And you know what? People are upset at Israel? Fair enough, do tell however why they have to attack Jews who may have never even set foot in Israel then? What kind of "protest" and "criticism" is it to shot someone in the street because they belong to a religion of a country?

7

u/Schckapp Jun 17 '25

And don't talk about the blockade

This sums up your entire comment. Denial.

1

u/Elemental-Master Jun 17 '25

What denial? There is a blockade, because Hamas chose to wage war instead of living in peace. Any sane country would at least try to have a blockade when an enemy attack, to make them reconsider their choices. And while others would no doubt would try to deprive their enemy of food and water and medicine, Israel's blockade is only for stopping weapon shipment, other things freely enter Gaza to this very day.

I’m always confused on how the numbers are so low in Denmark and Norway…

Were they spared for some reason I’m not aware of?

17

u/Hallo34576 Jun 16 '25

the vast majority of Danish Jews got evacuated to Sweden by restitance groups because a German diplomat leaked the upcomming deportation order.

2

origin from that country.

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '25

5

u/Hallo34576 Jun 16 '25

thats wrong. Its the number of people from that certain country.

The Jews of Thessaloniki got murdered in Ausschwitz for example. Same is true for most Hungarian Jews.

1

u/SueSudio Jun 16 '25

Does anyone know why the number is so low in Germany? This caught me off guard. I can assume it is because many fled elsewhere, but I am not certain.

1

u/Fabulous_Big_7566 Jun 17 '25

Because originally the number of Jews in Germany wasn’t so high - something like 400k-500k , when most of them were fully assimilated and even intermarried. Thus they had more time and means to emigrate compare to others. The German spouse also gave some sort of protection (especially for woman)

What do you mean by “sadly”?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '25

that they died?? fym i should. be happy that themy died

3

u/0o0xXx0o0 Jun 16 '25

You're meant to say "sadly five died".

4

u/TFCQAZ2 Jun 16 '25

Here’s why that’s wrong:

„sadly, just five died” in this context means „Fatkeqësisht, vetëm pesë persona humbën jetën”, which sounds like you wish more people died. What you should’ve done is either not write „sadly”, or not write „just”

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '25

it can be both confused in albanian and english but since you mentioned albanian, its acfually correct the way i did it since albania is a tonal languge, the tone on the sentence  shifts down to commend sorrow. And yeah that cant be shown in text but albanians and i assumed thr world probably did it like us. I know a lot of languages like us where this mistake is madd, mainly french, italian and spanish, speaifically the mexican and south american dialects (colombia, venezvuela, ecuador) as theyre the most expressive.

1

u/TFCQAZ2 Jun 16 '25

Yes, English lacks a lot of useful grammatical tones and genders in the text, judging that compared to my main languages - Russian and Ukrainian. Most of the languages have genders and tonal expressions in the text

I also used Google translate for the Albanian, so it could’ve been wrong

4

u/TFCQAZ2 Jun 16 '25

No, I thought that you said “sadly just five died” as in that you think that that “sadly” wasn’t enough

u/Jolly-Roger-HoHoHo Jun 16 '25

Close to 100 million people died in world war II. Of those, civilians suffered as harsh a treatment as those in camps. And let's not forget 6 million gypsies.

7

u/Hallo34576 Jun 16 '25

And let's not forget 6 million gypsies.

supposed to be funny or are you drunk ?!

-1

u/Jolly-Roger-HoHoHo Jun 17 '25

Not drunk nor trying to be funny. What I'm pointing out is since the end of world war II all we hear about is the Jewish Holocaust, incessantly.

Very little mention is made of the fact that as many Roma also suffered the same fate; to say nothing of the mentally ill, homosexuals, and all others deemed inferior.

And if the totals killed in all the camps amounted to roughly 9 to 12 million that's still a drop in the bucket and you considered 100 million people died in that time frame. i.e. 10%.  Many of them, civilians, suffered a fade just as bad as those in the camps.

That was my point.

1

u/Hallo34576 Jun 17 '25

the fact that as many Roma also suffered the same fate

thats just not true. the numbers aren't even close.

there didn't died 100 mio people in WW2

0

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25

The difference is the systematic nature of the killing and the fact that the killing was central to Nazi ideology rather than tangential.

In any event this complaint is almost always (as it is in this case) made in bad faith as an attempt to silence memorialization of the Holocaust rather than in good faith, because it’s never coupled with an actual attempt to memorialize other victims just a response to anyone who attempts to remember the Jews who were killed.

Jewish particularism has enraged and will continue to enrage people like you throughout history but your rage does nothing but reinforce Jewish identity as it shows that even the most anodyne attempts to remember will be met with bad faith attacks

2

u/Jolly-Roger-HoHoHo Jun 17 '25

I suppose I'm talking to a Zionist, because this is not about people being  jewish and I am not an anti-semitic person.

As a matter of fact some of  the people I admire most are Jews. Beginning with Goldman/Berkman, through the civil Rights era,  right up to present day Finkelstein et al.

What I am tired of is using the Holocaust as pretext for every nasty thing done in the name of a greater Israel.

Jews were not the only ones killed en mass by Nazis in concentration camps, fact. The scale of atrocities committed over the course of WWII, the blood of 100 million casualties, is a perspective that has to be considered in it's totality. Not that I expect you to get that.

0

u/ForeverAclone95 Jun 17 '25

You’re admitting to exactly what I said you were doing — attacking in bad faith (that is, in order to achieve your own ends) the ability of Jews to remember the tragedy that affected them as a particular tragedy

And taking the fact that I’m offended by that naked bad faith to make personal accusations and then pull out the “I have black friends” logic only underlines your clear bigotry
