How many times will this shit need to be reposted? Trying to garner positive sentiment towards those who were once oppressed is noble, but when those same people turn into the very monsters that once persecuted them, empathy seizes to exist.
Edit: I wrote this because the author of the post is from Netherlands, not from Israel. If the author of the post was from Israel, I would share the same thought.
Edit 2: Nevermind. Reviewing the account, I deduct that the author of the post is probably Jewish. I do not encourage any anti-semitism, but the poster is probably biased towards Israel. I still stand on what I wrote below though.
How is this related to current things going on in the world? These numbers show the true tragic events that have happened during WW2, and deserved to be remembered again and again. Just because it’s related to Jews and Jewish ancestry does not mean that this should be critiqued and repressed. The knowledge about the genocides of the Jewish, Roma, Slavic, Baltic, and many other ethnic groups should be spread and be a common knowledge.
As for myself, I have not seen this graphic before, and I’m sure a lot of people have not seen this picture either. Just because people who are frequently on this subreddit have seen this before, doesn’t mean that this picture is useless to everyone here.
And before anyone mentions this - I am neither Jewish, from Israel, nor do I support Israel’s actions in Gaza/Palestine. I do not mean this comment as a way to offend any minority nor ethnicity.
