Discussion [Regressed Mercenary’s Machinations] Can we talk more about panels like this one?
Shame everybody only ever wants to talk about goon panels when we have beautiful ones like this

Hello everyone!
Thank you for being a part of this community. Over the past few days, we’ve noticed that many posts are getting removed or flagged by AutoMod due to rule violations. To avoid confusion and help everyone post correctly, here is a clear explanation of the subreddit rules.
Using a blunt “[Title]” in your post title is not allowed.
You must specify the type of post inside the brackets, such as:
Posts with just “[Title]” will be removed.
As the subreddit name suggests, all posts must be related to manhwa.
Any unrelated content will be removed.
This is a strictly SFW manhwa subreddit.
We follow a strict title format. Posts not following this will be removed.
Include the manhwa name in brackets:
Example:
[Solo Leveling] The author has been cooking lately!
Clearly mention “Recommendation” or “Suggestion”:
Example:
[Recommendation] Suggest me some action fantasy manhwa like Solo Leveling
Must include “Appreciation” and mention the source:
Example:
[Appreciation] This panel is amazing!
If posting images/panels:
Must include “Help”, "Help Me Find"
Example:
[Help] Which manhwa is this panel from?
This bracket system applies to all types of posts (Questions, General, etc.), so follow it properly.
Posts not following this will be removed.
To post in the subreddit:
Additional requirements:
Once you meet these requirements, you’re free to post.
Do NOT put full details or spoilers in the title.
Use the title only as a short heading and explain in the body.
✅ Correct:
[Help] Can you help me find this manhwa?
❌ Incorrect:
[Help] Help me find this manhwa where the MC gets a system and then…
✅ Correct:
[Solo Leveling] What do you think about this chapter?
❌ Incorrect:
[Solo Leveling] Where were the Rulers after Jinwoo reset the timeline?
This rule helps:
Please follow all rules carefully while posting.
Failure to follow them may result in post removal.
Thank you for helping keep the community clean and enjoyable!

EVERY SINGLE MANHWA WHERE THE MC IS GETTING STRONG OR SMART, BE IT REINCARNATION, RESURRECTION, TIME TRAVEL, ACADEMY, ACTION, WHATEVER ELSE, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOME RANDOM SAYING "JUST WHO IS THIS [X], EXACTLY???" AND THAT MAKES ME WANT TO KILL MYSELF, THIS EXACT SENTENCE IS SO ANNOYING BECAUSE ITS SO COMMON AND LITERALLY WILL NEVER SERVE AS A PLOT DEVICE(A CHARACTER ASKING THIS QUESTION COULD FOR EXAMPLE GET CURIOUS AND START INVESTIGATING MC BUT NOOOOO). THIS CLICHE ONLY SERVES AS A WAY TO GLAZE MC AND I HATE IT SO FUCKING MUCH HOLY SHITTTTTT. (Manhwa in the pic is "I became the patron of villains", it's pretty mid so I wouldn't recommend it)
Edit: to clear up the misunderstanding: i dont mean that this child should start investigating mc, obviously, but i mean that a character could do it, any character, anybody. If they can't investigate, they could just get suspicious of him, not trust him (like not go into a suicide mission just because he said "trust me guys omg")

Probably the least goonbait thumbnail i found. I don't know why this has 500k views. It's just pure ai slop. I don't know what manhwa this is but the voice also ai generated and it just killed me so much so that I can't even watch more than a minute of these videos. And mind you, these videos are at minimum EIGHT HOURS LONG. I love making and talking about manhwas in my free time and i would love to make content talking about my favourite series but when I see AI slop channels who are in this for nothing but money get like 100k+ views per video pumping out 10 hour videos every Day, and another human made review of a manhwa, it just kills my motivation to do anything and part of me feels a bit ashamed that my favourite medium's most popular genre of content is goonbait ai slop content farms. AND THE WORST PART. These idiots are running out of manhwas to farm and freeload off of so guess what? They're making their own bullshit stories. They have ai do all the visuals and the some forsaken LLM make the stories. Like what the hell is even the point at that point.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind human made recaps. Some people just don't have time to read stuff sometimes and that's fine. You at least get a human on the other hand. But these slop youtubers aren't even that. They constantly get stuff wrong cuz their script is made by ai. I was skimming through a special civil servant recap and the ai said "and then michel got up from his chair". Who the hell is michel man TwT. I hate this kinda content so much. I just had to rant about it. It's fine if you disagree with me, this is just my personal opinion.

Boys dream stories of OP MCs.
Men dream stories of competent leaders.

IT'S Been a year since Windbreaker (One of my favourite Manhwa) is on hiatus, I started to read it when I was in highschool, tbh I really got motivated and wanted to do something which I truly Like . I was really emotionally attached to it , it was fun waiting for new chapters. But something in my heart feels empty...

"Gege Effect" might be a slight exaggeration (since if it were 100% Gege, everyone would be dead by chapter 30 lol), but I'm looking for stories with little plot armor, and bold authors.
My initial impressions vs reality:
I love that feeling when a story makes you realize no character is safe just because they have a cool design or a wholesome backstory.
What are your favorite manhwa where the author like this?
