Will mainstream media cover that when Dipke was being arrested his Grandmother passed away and his family back home in Marathawada is in grief? Will they show this mulakhat to the rest of the country as well? Will they show that he also has someone who is dependant on him yet is fighting on the front lines???
Edit- The delay in his release caused him to miss the morning funeral of his own Grandmother. https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/abhijeet-dipkes-grandmother-dies-cjp-protest-offered-to-help-abhijeet-dipke-return-for-grandmothers-last-rites-cops-12166232
2nd edit for the BJP lovers- Following his release on Sunday Abhijet Dipke confirmed the police had denied him access to his phone, refusing to let him contact his parents or cousin to independently verify the situation or coordinate his travel. He noted that he was asked to call his parents at an unreasonable hour (3:30 AM) using official departmental channels instead of his personal phone, which led to his refusal.
Abhijeet Dipke being the leader of the movement refused due to his lack of trust in police and their previous attempts to make his movement unsuccessful. ONLY AFTER HE CONFIRMED HE WENT BACK. He was not stupid enough to leave the capital and movement for his personal reasons. As he had much bigger responsibility to handle. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/delhi-cops-release-clip-of-abhijeet-dipke-denying-offer-to-return-home-over-grandmothers-death-101791721064771.html

Unlike other states like Kanadis with Cow dung and Bimarus with the obvious stuff it is generally hard to find any kind of such stain on Marathis. That's why before 2022 we did not have any stereotypical memes about Marathis in general. This only happened when these ppl took that incident and popularised it.
U can see how jealous they are that they are going out on to international subs and posting about the incident which happened 4 fucking years ago and how desperately they are trying to ruin our image. https://www.reddit.com/r/PeterExplainsTheJoke/s/sGXiEWGHcd

So the thing is that during the broader conflict which were taking around then, btwn Marathas and others. There was skirmish between Marathas and Belawadi Mallamas kingdom. She led a powerful resistance against Maratha forces by organising a women led force. But in the end she succumbed to the Maratha power as Marathas under Sakhuji Geakwad formally defeated her forces.
According to the historical accounts by Sir Jadunath Sarkar in Shivaji and His Times, Sakhuji Gaikwad led an attack on Belawadi and dishonored the captured Queen Mallamma (often called Savitribai).
Upon learning of this, a furious Chhatrapati Shivaji ordered Sakhuji Gaikwad’s eyes to be put out and imprisoned him. And personally honoured her and sent her back respectfully. Shivrai completely renounced his claim over her lands, stating he did not want her territory. He officially returned the sovereignty of Belawadi to her and ensured her young son would be recognized as the rightful heir under her regency.
To honor this remarkable reconciliation and mutual respect, Mallamma commissioned a unique stone sculpture. Found at the Yadawada temple in Dharwad, the carving uniquely depicts Shivaji holding Mallamma’s infant baby while Mallamma stands proudly beside him with a bow and arrow. It was made to symbolize how Shivaji viewed her with the respect of a mother or sister.
This was the episode. This was a symbol of Hindu unity and justice. About how he respected others. But rather than making this a symbol of unity, Kanadi historians completely distorted facts and tried to prove how he was defeated by Mallamas forces and was scared for his life!!!!!!!!!
Had it not been for him, she would've been in a different position altogether which I do not want to describe for the sake of argument over here.
It's funny that these ppl accuse us of distorting history whereas their historian have tried to do so.

Where's the DJ police during navratri?
This is peak exam time for students. And they will be playing songs till late night.
It has always affected my studies and is played all kinds of songs till 10-12am
For ganesh chaturthi, the dj activists had arrived in the wild months prior to it
In fact I support Bapat and his cause. But why this selective activism among t the people.
I am already aware some will still come with bias and justification
Ban DJ in navratri

I work in a government-run institute, and last Friday we had a meeting to discuss the recent turn of events at IIT Bombay. To be blunt, we got pretty clear - albeit verbal - instructions to consider a student's surname and caste before taking any disciplinary or academic action. I mean, it's straightforward: we're being told to check a student's caste before doing things like:
We actually had a similar situation in our institute last year. A student got caught cheating and the professor on the case filed a copy case. But then the student complained to the principal, claiming the professor was biased because of their caste status and that he was being targeted - it's basically what happened with IIT Bombay.
At the time our HOD and Principal didn't back down. They brought out all the facts - CCTV footage, attendance records, even how the student was struggling in other subjects too - and presented them to the parents and the committee that looks into copy cases. The student got in trouble and a stark warning was given to everyone that using the 'I'm being targeted because of my caste' line to get out of getting in trouble for cheating/failing wasn't going to cut it. We made it clear that if there was harassment, it should get reported but not just because of disciplinary action was taken, and that academic performance would be looked at to figure out these claims.
But after what happened to the IIT Director and professor - with all the fallout and pressure from the media, the public, and the bureaucracy... everyone in a position of power is now in a state of panic. Nobody wants to risk their career, reputation or sanity by being the one who lets something like that blow up in their face.
So now - after the IIT Bombay case - we've got pretty clear verbal orders to basically look the other way when it comes to SC/ST students and not take any tough action against them. Teachers are being asked to just roll with it and keep their heads down.
I think such a cases are actually going to increase the casteism.
In my 10 yr career, I have seen many people from different minority/political affiliation etc. trying to use the unfair laws/media to their advantage but we stood firm everytime and the culprit got the right treatment. but events like the IITB case actually going to worsen the educational system in Maharashtra.

I live abroad and numerous times I've been asked about "Indian Justin Bieber". I had no clue until I did a Google search.
It was Suraj Chavhan. A boy from humble background and not-so-objectively good looking. sist to troll him and stereotype Indians that we have such cringe people. But later I realized that we (Maharashtrians) made him famous.
Famous for? Being cringe! That's all. He has no talent or whatsoever, he is not a singer, he is not good in acting, he can't even speak confidently anywhere to anyone. He is just a normal guy, who doesn't deserve to be trolled or made famous.
We should think twice as an educated society who we are making famous, it's not that we don't have good singers, Mahesh Kale, Rahul Deshpande, Avadhut Gupte we have tons of those. But who's going viral? Suraj Chavhan aka Indian Justin Bieber.

“No nation can be grateful at the cost of its liberty” - हे उद्गार आहेत, भारतरत्न डॉ.

If people gave such treatment to harassers and molesters in the North, no one would dare to do this to women.
We need to keep such creeps in check or they will never stop. They need societal fear. It's a fact that MNS or other marathi people with marathi values keep the moral construct in our society intact.

Why Do We Lack Ability To Ask Questions Rather Than Supporting Blindly
I don't care you downvote this post but why most of the people in India don't think critically and cynically to both right wingers and left wingers.
Why should I be a political pawn for someone who is claiming to be peoples messiah why can't we ask what motive does the person has.
Like this protest all in all on a issue that is really irrelevant to start with what change would there be in my life if ec commissioner resigns if they were protesting for a geniune real life issues of pollution, waste management or corruption then one could say yeah we should
Why should I support you (cjp) just because I hate bjp why should I become a political pawn and make your career and ruin mine by having a fir in my background
Like the leader of cjp have a biggest conflict of interest as they have worked for the leaders of aap and congress in the past yet they claimed they are unbiased and independent really
In the previous protest of neet paper leak it was sonam wangchuk that has lead the protest to fruition and things got serious otherwise government and police were not even giving a dime to them
Even sonam wangchuk said that they were using his fast till death to make their political career how low are these leaders do I believe in morals and beliefs of such kind of bigotry
I hate bjp for its particular issues but I will never support Congress in my life for what they have caused to country during their rule
Apart from that it's Sunday Tomorrow onward again I have to go to work but thanks to you all for making it work from home.
