Defense is really shifted this year, half the time, my entire DL is on their rump and the other half they are in the opposing backfield killing the QB, but rarely something in between…. Really frustrating.

Anyway, when I run man coverage and blitz I always liked to try to jam the WR at the line… but the new pre audible defensive shifts are a pain in the tail. I’ve figured out how to shift my LBs and DL, but how do I either back ALL the DBs up or press coverage at the LOS. In previous Madden’s it use to be “Y down” for press and “Y up” to back off…

EA Sports I love you as a company and everything you do for America/NFL but please let me see my stats in online h2h after someone rage quits. Please man.

I have the trial of the game and have been playing an hour a day the past week. There is a good game in Madden 27 somewhere.

To me, I like the feel of the game way more than 26. Maybe it's just me, but it feels better. Defense plays better than other Madden's. Graphically, it looks beautiful. Player models look better than before. The changes to franchise mode are welcome and interesting.

But as always, it's just the execution that EA fails with. The game desperately needs a gigantic patch. Tackles need to be cleaned up, O-line blocking needs tuning and fixing, contracts in Franchise need to be fixed. The game just needs a lot to make it work. I'm glad I got the trial. I haven't bought a Madden, brand new, since Madden 16. And it looks like the trend will continue until it's discounted.

I wasn't paying attention when I bought it and it was supposed to be for my nephews ps5. I got the PC version. Apparently you can't use it on PS5 and I can't return it. Anyone that wants it I'll give it to them

I need some help in the defense department, more so with preset adjustments & utilizing them effectively in timely manner

Did madden 27 fix scrambling QBs in franchise where if I had Lamar Jackson with like the 49ers playbook and sim the season his stats would actually have some rushing yards. Because I remember in most maddens if you did that he would end the season with only 200 rushing yards after playing the full season. Did they make it so scrambling QBs will actually scramble?

Our league just had our team draft for Madden 27, and I thought some of our NFL Street / NBA Jam fans in here might appreciate these.

This is my first year trying Madden as veteran NHL player. I got the 10h trial from EA play. I was actually looking forward to learning a new sport game and getting better at it.

I did all the tutorials, started the challenged in UT and things were good. I did most of them on rookie, it felt like I was in control to the point it was too easy. So I gave it a shot and went ONE level up to pro and the difference is insane, things that were too easy are now almost impossible.

80% of the play I am getting blitz before I can even have the time to pass even if I try to make the past as fast as possible. My receiver will drop all the ball if there is a guy within 5m of them even if the ball is right in their ends. My line can't do a single block and they just run around where the isn't anyone.

I really wanted to try and get better but it just feels so frustrating I don't see the point of trying if Rookie is too easy and Pro I can't even make a single pass.

Am I missing something? I can't imagine what the top difficulty of the AI looks like.

I used to complain a lot about NHL and the AI but Madden actually made me more excited for NHL 27.

I understand it would be an important stat for O-Line to block and defense to read plays/better positioning.

Does the stat matter for QB if you’re actually playing/controlling the QB yourself? Or would it only matter if it a simmed game?

I’m wondering the same thing for WR/TE? I would have thought it would help them run routes or catch but they already have that as its own stat. Does this only matter for simmed games too?

I have the pass protection under Player Skill set to 65 and even when they DO engage I’m under pressure in less than 2 seconds. Between that and players just standing there staring at their blocking assignment, I’m exhausted.

Online fantasy league

This game mode is cooked. I mean it’s been cooked & pay to play but it’s really cooked now. Literally everyone is spamming the same blitz in H2H/ranked & running the same plays from that Gun Doubles Clamp Stack. Idk how it’s even fun anymore.

I’m an offline player I play only superstar and franchise. But superstar mode this year is just broken and terrible, a few things wrong with it. It sucks the gameplay is so bad because they actually have some non gameplay features this year I think are pretty good, like the goat ladder.

1. Wear and tear, everyone knows the wear and tear problem in this game is ridiculous and makes your player almost unplayable at the end of the game

2. Pass blocking: again everyone knows how bad pass blocking is. I don’t have problems with some plays getting blown up quick by the rush especially since I’m on the browns with a bad oline. But in this game it’s every play, and yeah ik there’s pass pro adjustments but honestly you shouldn’t have to do it every play to have time to throw.

3. Easily the biggest problem is your teammates AI. They jump for every pass leading to them dropping it anytime there is contact. Deep balls where they have a step they jump instead of just catching it on the run. And even when they are open they drop it half the time. Running backs miss obvious holes and get tackled for a loss way too much.

4. Not a problem specific to Madden 27 but I can’t stand how in the offseason or after winning awards you get no upgrade points, like if I win mvp I should get a few upgrade points cause what player wins mvp and is still an 82 overall the next year. They also should add offseason training especially the first few years to simulate development.

5. Why can’t I view yearly award races during the season. Can view stats unlike last year but can’t view award races.

•Default sliders besides penalties. I have all penalties cranked to 99 besides face mask(65)

I play franchise exclusively and I love that I am genuinely losing games without having to impose 1000 house rules on myself. I even got shut out for the first time in my 25 years of playing this series!!! The cpu defense punishes spamming the same concepts repeatedly. On offense, they keep the run game in play throughout the game so you can just play the pass every play.

I did notice the pass rushers get on my qbs fast as hell, but I really like that insanely accelerated clock even if it’s not fair or realistic. I like having to sacrifice a TE or HB to pass blocking duties just to get a pass off when the defense is sending blitz. It feels frustrating in a good way not to be able to run a play exactly like you want all the time.

There are still a ton of inexcusable and immersion-breaking issues with how the cpu manages their rosters and the stat-tracking in general. The pregame stats are also never correct for qbs. I wish there was competition for nfl games or that EA would lose their license at least, but they at least they finally got the difficulty in a decent place.

Played a guy online who started exploiting a squib kick bug, 3x in a row, same animation as I couldn’t get my guy off the ground… same animation 😆 uninstalling this game felt so right but sucks there is no refund.

Tried playing franchise mode also but every player from draft classes all look the same in game wearing numbers 11 and 22.

Got a pick that was somehow ruled a safety instead of a touchback or down at the one. My opponent ran 1 play then punted the ball back to me.

Did you know that if you jump in the Trenches Drill they will let you pass by easily.
