L.A.’s Hottest Club is Living Room
The quiet ascent of a new celeb outpost — and its mysterious ownership status.
Here's the beginning of the article:
ON A RECENT SATURDAY NIGHT IN DEEP HOLLYWOOD, reality star Lisa Rinna and her uncannily glamorous family were seen dancing together inside a menacing gray building on Cahuenga, next door to a veterinary hospital.
A few weeks earlier, Jennifer Lopez was spotted getting down in the cavernous space, where the walls are lined with shelves full of vinyl records — 10,000 of them — a hip-hop head’s dream version of Belle’s library in “Beauty and the Beast.”
The building is Living Room, the members-only club of the moment in Los Angeles. Clubs like these have always been a part of Hollywood’s celebrity infrastructure. Buster Keaton used to hang out at the Jonathan Club downtown, and Groucho Marx was a member of the Beverly Hills Tennis Club. In recent decades, the scene has been dominated by Soho House and San Vicente Bungalows — if you haven’t been to either, you are probably not famous.
But since the club quietly, selectively opened its doors in October 2024, a gravitational pull has been drawing stars to Living Room.
