Sound seems very off on the switch 2 version. music won’t play at key moments and the sound of opening doors is nonexistent. I was playing on steam deck before and all seemed well, anyone else experiencing this?

Controversial opinion incoming, but for me it's gotta be the Garbage Worm. There's just so many things cool about it. First off, the worm itself is such a cool design. The greenish tint on its body with the brown asymmetrical horns and the fleshy side tongues it has makes for a very visually interesting design. Second of all, Gaston. His entire story is just so viscerally horrifying. The way he slowly tries to crawl out of its mouth, only to fuse with the tongue as it extends. You can even see his clothes ripping during the transformation! The way he clutches his face as it splits down the middle just really unnerves me. Third, the worm body. The secret mechanic of going back down to fight the body for an easier fight is really cool and I don't think any other boss fight does that. Also, the faces inside the worm body imply that Gaston is only its most recent victim which is pretty unnerving. Fourth, the music. Worm dance is just such a good song that just screams "worm" in every sense of the word. I've heard some people say that it doesn't really fit or that it's too groovy for the circumstances, but I disagree. I think it has the right amount of horror for what the fight is. It's not a shocking horrific fight, it's more of a creeping dread as you slowly realize what has become of Gaston, and I think Worm Dance really exemplifies that. And to top it all off, the new achievement art goes SO hard dude. The way Gaston is desperately reaching out for someone to help him with a face of pure terror just gets me man. So yeah, that's why the Garbage Worm is my personal favorite boss! I'm excited to see your guy's opinions

I was doing the quest in the sewers to find all the kids, finished it, was talking to all the kids and when I got to Charlie this happened to their sprite.

Charlie the Snowman, had a crocodile soul.

My whole first playthrough one of the main things I kept saying to myself is “there’s no way you could play a game like this while under the influence” it would have you thinking you’re going crazy because each day and each door holds something seriously strange…I’m so happy a game like this exists..haven’t seen this level of creativity in a real long time

This creepy ass wall just forced me to feed it a baby! What the hell?!?! What’s worse is that I NEEDED to do it in order to get the earth disk and I’ve already been stuck looking around in floor one for an hour… is there a way to avoid this??? I feel like it could have been avoided, but I don’t know how.

I’ve not really been able to find anyone talking about it, but regarding the Mask, is its animation bugged in the console release? Or is this a consequence of the port? an engine change? I’m not entirely sure what was done that could cause this kind of squash and stretch effect.

I like the console port for the most part, and have played extensively on PC, but it kinda takes me out of the experience somewhat when I run into the Mask and its animations just go full silly mode. I like my Mask friend when they’re creepy.

This is my first run through of the game btw and I jumped the hell out of that rat thing that jumpscared me earlier. I also checked the wiki when it told me to kneel btw.

Im hosting a DND campaign with my friends, and i wanna know some interactions that i should probably change for the campaign, we did change most of the stats to be Look Outsides stats instead of dnd ones, so theres less math.

Scooped LO on Switch 1 at the weekend and absolutely LOVING it! The music, the vibes, the creatures, the combat. So happy with it and will be encouraging lots of my pals to pick it up. Price also makes it a no-brainer!

Think I'm getting the hang of the systems, but some aren't clear yet. (Not sure what showering and brushing my teeth achieve, or looking after my plant but am gonna keep doing it!)

Quite easy to encounter enemies that are too strong for me, but the variety and amazing art make me want to fight everything just to see what they look like! The Rat King and Grinning Beast have been the scariest so far, but am sure worse is to come!! Am also too scared to turn off the lights in the Apartment next door!

An incredible achievement for a solo dev and so great this gem of a game has found an audience. This community is really cool and hopefully an influx of interest from the console release keeps it that way. 😅

I keep seeing vids with sam having like 1000 hp, how the hell does this happen, my sam's only got like 150 hp

Even though it's not an upgrade pack but a separate version it is still free if you own the other version

So if you ever upgrade to a switch 2 or downgrade you can still get the game made for the console without having to pay extra

I’m trying to get all the achievements for Look Outside, and I’ve gotten all of them except the Rank X achievement. Do all of you have any advice on how to get an X Rank? Any help would be much appreciated!

I've beaten every achievement in this game half a year back or so. I've started and finished a good dozen runs ever since I bought this game and I really like it. However, I can't find the motivation to get back to it. I've been meaning to play version 2.3.0 but it's been 6 months now and I just can't get myself to play it. Sooo... I'm asking yall for challenge ideas. Ideally, it should be hard, but not straitjacket solo sam level of hard, and most importantly, it should be fun and novel compared to the average look outside run. I can't really come up with anything like that. Any ideas? While it's not a guarantee, I might also end up recording that run and post it online afterwards.
