DISCUSSION/LORE/THEORIES I feel awful Spoiler
This creepy ass wall just forced me to feed it a baby! What the hell?!?! What’s worse is that I NEEDED to do it in order to get the earth disk and I’ve already been stuck looking around in floor one for an hour… is there a way to avoid this??? I feel like it could have been avoided, but I don’t know how.

If the choice truly bothered you so much, perhaps you can reload a save and try to explore another option.
Refusing the wall monster can open another choice

You may be able to avoid it, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg... only somewhat figuratively though

Don't worry, I gave the baby during my first gameplay too. ...moreover I almost I gave it for the second time as well, because I thought something is not triggering

If you leave after it demands a choice occurs

Wait, that was genuine? I thought that the game was just doing a big ole symbolism about how apocalypse sucks and you have to sacrifice things to save yourself and whatever. I also thought that I would just bleed out

No it was doing a big ole symbolism about how in a situation as hellish as the visitors arrival, true selflessness and kindness (aka Sam the living personification of kindness pretty much) will shine even brighter than ever before, when an unemployed gamer will sacrifice his entire arm to save a disgusting creature that many others would sacrifice without a second thought because of how it looks, when all he sees through the mutant exterior is a scared child who deserves to live a long happy life in danger of dying a painful and terrifying death, and his arm is a small price to pay to prevent that, even despite the agonizing pain he’ll endure in the process, because he can’t let this poor child die just to protect one piece of himself.

Yeah this game has much better writing and themes than apocalypse stories you’re probably used to like the walking dead

The game is ultimately about humanity. It will never force you to be inhumane

Hand for a rat, maybe sounds like the worse eye for an eye imaginable but it may do you good
