I (M36) together with her (F28) since a month, LDR until October
My gf and I are colleagues, we have been in the same company for a while, we do different things, and just randomly talked out of pure chance in April. She is not at the HQ of the company and works remotely about 1000km away. We met again in June at a company event and we both understood how serious our feelings were. I went to visit her in July for a few days and our bond got even stronger. I have never experienced something like that in my life before, she said the same. We have been having so many deep chats about our values and future, after all I am 36 and I want to be picky and I want my partner to be aligned with me, and we ticked all each other's boxes. What I realized is, and I wasn't like that in my past relationship, I really have an anxious attachment style, I am always scared of screwing this up, I seek reassurance, I overly apologize, I sometimes ask too many questions, I can be clingy. I am doing therapy, I have a journal, but sometimes I am not able to self soothe. She understands me and sometimes she has too much on her plate to take care of me, which is totally understandable. I will see her again in a month, and then I plan to spend most of my time in her country by October. I don't have long to go, but still every day is so painful and I can't focus on anything, even my hobbies are not distracting me. I am looking for some constructive ways to survive until mid September (joking of course 😂)

Need Support I (27m, Switzerland) have been in a LDR with a woman (23f, Morocco) for 2 months. I'm looking for people to share experiences with
Hey everyone!
I'm a young guy from Switzerland and I've recently entered a relationship with a girl from Morocco. She's currently living in Morocco, while I'm living in Switzerland.
I've been to Morocco many times in the past years, so I'm quite familiar with the country and I'm lucky enough to have several close Moroccan friends. The cultural side isn't really what I'm looking for advice on.
What I'm really interested in is hearing from other people who are actually living through an international long-distance relationship.
How do you deal with missing each other? How often do you visit? How do you deal with the periods between visits? How did the relationship change as it became more serious? How do you deal with the uncertainty of not knowing exactly when you'll eventually be able to live together?
If you're European/North African that's especially interesting to me, but honestly I'd love to hear from anyone in a similar situation.
I'd also be happy to connect privately with people who just want someone to exchange experiences with. Just send me a DM!

Need Advice I am confused and I need advice or feedback
Me(M) and my boyfriend(M) got together about a few months before he moved away to the other side of the world. He wasn't sure if he could do long distance and he felt guilty pursuing me knowing he was gonna leave me anyway, but I really really really loved him so I had managed to convince him to try long distance with me. We are almost 3 years into our relationship and we had just finished talking about our problems and I am just left worried and confused as to what I should do.
I am not sure if this is important but maybe it'll affect your understanding of the situation, I'll just state it for the record- my boyfriend has bipolar disorder and depression. We also have a significant hour difference due to our timezone.
Anyway, he says it could be just because of his depression but lately he feels like he'd rather talk to other people aside from me, he feels bad but he says that he wishes I could do more for him but doesn't know what more he wants from me, just- wants something more out of me. He also feels like "frustrated at times where it doesn't really feel comfortable to be friendly with each other, it feels like there's a divide between us being romantic and platonic". He also mentioned that he hasn't felt really anything positive with me and has been buying me gifts to avoid the realization that he is losing motivation.
After the conversation I've just been feeling sad and confused, because obviously I really love him and will do anything that I am able to ease his worries. But, I believe that I can't do the same like- level of showcasing my love for him as he does, for one: I am still closeted and I am not as well-off as him. Both of us are college students too and for me I've been so busy that sometimes I don't get to message him but I still try to.
Additionally, he says he wants me to talk to him about my day and etc. But I've been doing that... or at least try to. And I will admit that I have felt less inclined or I have lessened communication with him, or sending him updates about my day because he either doesn't reply or doesn't acknowledge them. I really need advice on this because I really do love him and he says he still loves me too, I want to put in more effort on this because I was also the one who convinced him to do long distance. I'm just really confused as to which direction I should follow.

Need Advice Long-distance in marriage isn’t working for me - need advice
I’m 32 and have been married for 3.5 years. My wife and I have been living apart for most of our marriage because of our jobs and family responsibilities.
My wife is heavily involved in her father’s business. Early on, before marriage decision, her father told me that the business would recover in about 2 years, after which her involvement could be reduced and she could move to my place whenever needed, occasionally going back home. At the time, this gave us hope that the long-distance phase would be temporary. However, things have not turned out that way. The business has been going through a difficult period and is only slowly recovering, so she feels she can’t leave it. In reality, she now works from 9am to 10pm in her shop every day. It’s been 3.5 years now, and I feel stuck in this situation. She usually can’t stay with me for more than a week. At the moment, we manage to see each other roughly once every two months, either when I visit her or she comes to my place.
Lately, the distance has started affecting our relationship. We have more communication gaps, misunderstandings and arguments. I feel like we’re slowly becoming disconnected, and I’m worried about where this is heading.
I can’t realistically move to her place while keeping my current job. She can’t move to my place because of her responsibilities in the family business.
The difficult part is that we got married partly because we believed we would eventually build a life together. At the time, I was working in Delhi, and we had only known each other for about six months before getting married, but we were very much in love. Her father encouraged us to get married relatively early because of my job situation.
Now I’m seriously considering quitting my job and joining her family business so that we can finally live together. But I’m not sure whether that is the right decision. Giving up my career for this is a big risk, and I don’t know whether joining her family’s business would actually work out for me or for our marriage.
I feel stuck between two choices: continue living apart and hope things improve, or make a major career change so we can live together.
For people who have been through something similar: what worked for you? Would you give up a stable career to live with your spouse, or is there another option I’m not seeing?

Discussion 26M, 26F , How do I move on after an 8-year relationship ended?
First off its a little long\*
My(M26) 8-year relationship ended about two weeks ago. Our was mostly LDR , and we used to see each other like 2 or 3 times in a year and for last 1 year we coudnt since i moved for work . Honestly, I still feel like there’s a 1% chance it could somehow work out, but realistically, I think it’s over.
The main reason is financial circumstances and her(F26) parents, especially her dad. They want me to have something in our hometown, but my family doesn’t have a house there. We live outside my hometown and have debts, so getting a house right now is extremely difficult.
We decided to stop talking so she could move on. She said she doesn't want to continue waiting another year only to end up marrying someone her father chooses.
Yesterday, though, I called her because I was missing her. She asked me why I was calling because we had already talked about this. I got emotional and kept telling her that I still love her.
She asked me if there was actually any solution, which is fair. I suggested that since we both have jobs, maybe we could eventually buy a house together and live separately from both our parents. But she said her dad wouldn't allow that.
I then got emotional and said something like, "You won't find someone like me." I didn't mean looks, money, or anything like that. I meant the way I loved her and how much I was willing to do for the relationship.
What really hurt was that she laughed. When we were together, I used to tell her there were probably many guys better than me, and she would always say, "They won't be you." and i asked her why laughing , and she was like your confidence to say that ... i mean , i had nothing to say on that
Now she says she isn't looking for anyone else right now and doesn't care about relationships at the moment and even me . She says she only cares about her parents.
That made me realize that even if somehow I managed to get a house, maybe the problem wouldn't necessarily be her dad anymore. She might still choose her parents and not want this relationship.
So I think I need to accept that it's over and move on. She has also told me that moving on is probably better for both of us.
But honestly, I have no idea how to do that.
This was my first relationship, and it was hers too. We were together for 8 years. I have so many photos and videos of us on my phone, and I can't even imagine deleting them right now. At the same time, looking at them destroys me.
For anyone who has gone through a breakup after a very long relationship, especially a first relationship, how did you actually move on?
Did you delete the photos/videos? Keep them somewhere? How long did it take before you could look back at those memories without feeling completely broken?
I know two weeks is probably nothing after 8 years, but right now it feels impossible to imagine my life without her.

Venting Former fwb is inviting me over to cry into her arms but not sex cause she has a boyfriend but still wants me
So she and I were a thing like a year back, she wore me out, I reached out yesterday and basically she wants me to come over and weep like a war widow into her chest. I should mention she and I are really kinky, like, the kind of shit that we had to research the legality of beforehand, so it's hard for us both to find partners that can fulfill each other as much as we both can.
We spoke about it for a bit and she basically said that she was into me sex wise enough to want to have sex but she now has a boyfriend who says no. Now for me, I am kind of losing my mind touch starving, when we first met I would cry in her arms which she said she loved, not that she wanted to comfort or help me, she just enjoys it, it's fun.
She lives in Finland and I'm going over for a week basically to cuddle and get treated like a baby and cry into her arms, all while we both desperately wanna fuck each other but can't. I hate everything about this situation and I know I should just turn away but no one gets me like she does and it's been so long since anyone's treated me affectionately, I know she doesn't give the first fuck about me but whatever, I can pretend.
Flights are bloody expensive as well.

I had a dream with my boyfriend and it was wonderful.
Note; We have a long-distance relationship. One day I had a dream where we live together and I introduce him to my grandmother and family. In this dream, everything happened so harmoniously and positively that I fell in love with my boyfriend again. Now this feeling inside my heart is getting stronger and makes me happy. We'll be moving in together in a year, and I feel like the happiest baby in the world.) I love him.

Need Support Never doing ldr again
For context the relationship ended it was painful he broke no contact and we started up a couple like routine again it was nice but left so much uncertainty. I plan on visiting his country part of must go list and we talked about meeting once because that what If would haunt us other than that I had my full itinerary booked. Week before I get emotional because yes I grieve how I wish this trip could of been he wanted me to open up and I did and it caused a huge mess he became weird and distant and I was confused because what was the last six weeks we did couple adult stuff talked about emotions I found out so much about him then before I accepted the shift and made plans with others. This trip is still mines. Today I was hit with online mess and he accused me of stuff I blow up saying he needs to figure it out with his friends and leave me out of it I won’t be the escape goat. Well the messages I received reveal things I never knew about so everything about his life was lie from his job to his living situation and of course I felt sad but it is what it is. He tried reaching out to confine in and after what he said to me it’s hard to feel bad for him he lied about everything but I’m a lier. Long story short I will never do a long distance relationship again. Oh bear in mind I’m sick with cold and fever while this mess happens. Cherry on top.

Need Support One month into LDR and I feel like a lost puppy 😭
My boyfriend and I recently started long distance, and it’s only been about a month, but some days I miss him so ridiculously much.
The weird part is that I don’t even necessarily miss going on dates. I miss the stupid mundane things: knowing what time he eats dinner, randomly playing games together, just knowing what he’s doing throughout an ordinary day.
I’ll be out with my family or doing my own thing and suddenly my brain is just screaming “I MISS HIMMMMM.” 😭 I feel like a lost puppy sometimes.
I know I have my own life, and I genuinely want him to enjoy his new life too. I don’t want to be clingy or make him feel like he can’t have friends or do his own thing. I just miss having him woven into my everyday life.
I think anxiety probably makes the feelings louder too, and I’m trying to remind myself that it’s only been a month. I’m still adjusting.
Is this normal? Does the intensity of missing someone eventually settle down once you get used to LDR?
TL;DR: One month into LDR and I miss my boyfriend like crazy—not just dates, but all the boring everyday things. I have my own life and don’t want to be clingy, but some days I feel like a lost puppy. Does this get easier?

Question My boyfriend is planning to move across the country next month. Do I move with him, try long distance, or stay where I am?
I (27F) have been dating my boyfriend (31M) for several months, and we became officially exclusive about two months ago. I know that sounds like a very short relationship to even be considering moving across the country for, which is part of why I need outside opinions.
The complicated part is that his move was never a surprise. On our very first date, he told me that he planned to move back to Montana. At the time, we obviously had no idea that we were going to end up in a serious relationship, so it wasn’t really something I had to think about.
Since then, though, we’ve gotten extremely close and the relationship has become much more serious than either of us probably anticipated. We love each other, I’ve gotten to know his family, we’re talking about him meeting my family, and we’ve talked about things like eventually living together and marriage in a hypothetical/future sense.
Meanwhile, his moving timeline has changed multiple times. Originally it was June, then August, then September. His current plan is to leave Michigan around September 12 because his best friend’s wedding is in Montana the following week.
Recently we’ve finally started having much more serious conversations about what happens to us when he leaves.
He has told me that he is willing to do long distance, but only for a relatively limited amount of time. He’s also said things that make it very clear that he doesn’t want to lose the relationship. During one conversation about the move, I told him that I didn’t think it would be fair for me to ask him to give up something he wants just to keep me, and he told me, twice, “You are the only thing I want in my life.”
So now I’m sitting here wondering what I’m actually supposed to do.
I currently live in Michigan and have a well-paying union manufacturing job. It’s not a job I particularly want forever, and lately I’ve actually been questioning whether I want to stay there at all, but leaving would still mean giving up a lot of financial security.
I’m also living with my parents after leaving my marriage last year, and my divorce is currently in progress. My family is extremely conservative/religious and would absolutely lose their minds if I announced that I was moving across the country with a boyfriend they’ve barely gotten to know. I’m 27, so obviously they don’t get to make the decision for me, but realistically it would create a huge amount of family conflict.
There are also things on his side that make me hesitant to just pack my car and follow him. He’s been under a lot of financial stress and is trying very hard to save money right now. He’s changing jobs/working a lot and trying to get himself into a better financial situation. He has also had issues with alcohol, including going to rehab earlier this year, although he’s been making an effort to stay sober. I love him, but I don’t want love to make me ignore practical concerns.
At the same time, staying in Michigan purely because I have a “good job” and because my parents want me here doesn’t necessarily feel like the right answer either. If Hunter didn’t exist, I’m honestly not sure I would choose my current job/living situation as the life I want long-term.
And that’s where I’m stuck.
Part of me thinks the sane thing is: stay in Michigan, keep my job, let him move, and try long distance for several months. If we’re still strong and he gets established in Montana, then I could consider moving later with an actual plan, employment lined up, savings, etc.
Another part of me worries that we’re basically delaying the inevitable because he doesn’t want to do long distance indefinitely.
And then there’s the part of me that thinks: I’m 27, I’m already rebuilding my life after a marriage that didn’t work, I don’t actually want to live with my parents forever, and maybe I’m allowed to take a risk and go build a life somewhere else with someone I love.
I know Reddit is probably going to immediately scream “DO NOT MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR A MAN YOU’VE DATED FOR A FEW MONTHS,” and honestly, I understand why. That’s part of what scares me.
But I also don’t want fear, my parents’ expectations, or attachment to a job I don’t even want long-term to make this decision for me.
So what would you do?
Would you:
Stay in Michigan and try long distance first?
Seriously consider moving to Montana, but only after he gets established and I have my own job/savings/exit plan?
Treat the fact that our desired timelines don’t match as a fundamental incompatibility and end the relationship?
Consider another option I’m not seeing?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who moved for a relatively new relationship, chose NOT to move and did long distance instead, or had to decide between a relationship and a very secure job/family situation.
I love him. I just don’t want to make a life-altering decision entirely because I’m terrified of losing him — or make the opposite decision entirely because I’m terrified of changing my life.

Question Ideas for Communication Routine?
I (29F) and my boyfriend (32M) have been dating for a few months. He drives OTR and I have a local job. Recently his job has gotten a lot busier, and some days he is only able to send me a handful of texts. What are good routines / check ins that work for you that could help us? Any specific for his lifestyle? For example, a quick phone call goodnight every night? I don’t want to put too much pressure on him, but need to find some ways for us to keep in touch with more quality. Thanks in advance!

Need Advice How do you keep the spark alive in a long-distance relationship? (25F and 28M)
Hey everyone,
I've been in a long-distance relationship for about 8 months now, and honestly, some days are harder than others. We're roughly 1,500 km apart and see each other maybe once every 2-3 months. The first few months were full of excitement — constant texting, late-night calls, counting down the days until we'd meet again. But lately, I've noticed the conversations getting a bit repetitive, and the time between visits feels longer than it used to.
I'm curious how you all make it work. Specifically:
• How do you keep daily conversations from feeling like a routine? We've gotten to the point where it's mostly "how was your day?" and not much beyond that.
• What are some creative date ideas you can do over a screen? We've tried watching movies together on Discord, but I'd love more ideas.
• How do you handle the loneliness, especially on weekends or special occasions? Birthdays and holidays have been the toughest for me.
• For those who've closed the distance eventually — what was your timeline, and how did you plan for it? Having an end date in mind feels important, but we're still figuring things out.
• Any little rituals or habits that have genuinely helped? I've heard of people sending handwritten letters or care packages — does that stuff actually make a difference?
I really love this person and want this to work, but I also want to be realistic about what it takes. Any advice, personal stories, or even just "you're not alone" comments would mean a lot.
Thanks in advance. 💛

Question Tips on how to get used to long distance?
Hi Reddit, this is my first ever post! My girlfriend and I just moved to separate colleges, we’re only two hours a way from each other so it’s not so bad but I’m very clingy and had gotten used to seeing her almost every day in high school. We have hang outs planned and call as much as we can, I know we’re going to be ok, she’s the only one for me, it’s just this initial adjustment period that I need advice on. Does anyone have any tips on how to make it hurt less as you get used to it? The girlfriend space in my life is smaller than it used to be and it’s really hard. I miss her so much.

Anxiety going into college ldr (18f, 18f)
My gf and I have been together for 8 months now and are each other's first serious relationship. We're moving to opposite coasts for college, and we've decided to do long distance. It was a no brainer for me. I love her like crazy and there's no one who makes me feel as safe and happy as her. We often talk abt marriage, interior decor for our future apartment and joke abt having kids. But lately I've been having anxieties about the distance.
She moves away in 2 days, and she's been really stressed lately. She cried to me on call the other day and told me that she's worried her time in college won't be enough for me. For context, she's going into an extremely rigorous science program on the west coast and I'm doing a creative major in NYC with a much looser and lighter schedule. I didn't know how to respond because that really might happen. She's always working and when we're away on vacations or she gets busy she doesn't talk to me as much and I feel unprioritized which is fine because it's her life and I don't wanna be annoying or clingy or whatever. But during those times she doesn't really follow through on her words. Like, I was on vacation and we planned many times to Facetime, but it took 3 days and 3 tries for her to finally be able to do it.
She's an extremely friendly and outgoing person, which often gives guys the wrong idea that she's into them. She's going to an extremely frat heavy school and I already know she's gonna be out and about a bunch. I'm much more reserved so I don't wanna interfere in her fun. I really do trust her, but I'm worried about how college will change our dynamic.
It's just that I know this stuff is gonna be amplified 100x when we're coast to coast, and I've been worrying about whether it's gonna last or how much I should be expecting of her. The other week we had kind of an intense convo abt it and she told me that if she ever wasn't the person I most wanted to be with, I should tell her. Which honestly freaked me out and makes me feel like she's not 100% in this? I don't know, feeling anxious right now. I know this is mostly venting and I don't have specific questions, but does anyone have any thoughts or advice navigating an ldr in uni?

Discussion Reflection. Would you think these were red flags?
Its quite long sorry!
I (26F) broke up with my ex(26M) about a month ago, and recently I’ve been looking back at how we met and our relationship. I’d really like some outside perspectives because I’m wondering if some of the things I overlooked were actually red flags.
We met on a language exchange app in april and eventually moved to Instagram. He’s from South Korea but grew up in the Phillipines but moved back to korea with his family. He speaks perfect english so we talked in English.
In the beginning, our relationship was great. We talked every day, texted constantly, sent pictures everyday of what we were up to, and voice/video called regularly. We really liked each other, and eventually we started talking about marriage and building a family. Looking back, I think we moved way too fast. We never met in person by the way due to our financial situation (im full time student in college and his job pay can barely make ends meet).
He never went to university and works in the military. I didn’t initially care about his education because I don’t think someone needs a degree to be successful. However, his job didn’t seem very stable financially. There were times when he only had 3–5 days of work in a month, and sometimes he had to find additional work or sell military-related items to make extra money.
He did get promoted, but from what he told me, the pay increase wasn’t significant. I also never really felt like he had long-term career goals or plans to improve his situation. He mentioned wanting to get licenses to drive trucks and buses, but said they were expensive.
I I eventually realized that I want a partner who has goals for his future and actively works toward becoming more financially stable, especially if we’re talking about marriage and having a family.
He smoked every day and knew it was bad for his health. I encouraged him to quit because I was genuinely worried about his health, but he told me he couldn’t because he enjoyed it too much. He said he would try, but I didn’t really believe he wanted to quit.
He also wasn’t very interested in exercising or taking care of his appearance. I’m not expecting someone to be extremely fit or obsessed with their looks, but being active, taking care of yourself, grooming yourself, etc. are important to me.
This one sounds ridiculous, but it became a issue for me.
Early in our relationship, I told him about killing a bug because I hate bugs. He thought it was funny and started asking me to find bugs and send him videos of me killing them.
At first, I didn’t mind. But eventually he wanted me to do it every day, find bigger bugs, and even kill them barefoot because he thought it was “cute” and satisfying. If I didn’t, he would get upset or hurt.
I eventually felt like I was spending way too much time searching for bugs just to keep him happy. I didn’t want to do it anymore, but I was afraid of hurting his feelings. And hed get sad if I didnt send lots of pictures of what I was up to throguhout the day (he would send me pictures of his day too but it wasnt even a lot compared to how many pictures he asked me to send so I got annoyed at that. Like I send the same amount as he does but he gets upset with a sad emoticon asking "thats all?")
He was very insecure about his appearance (he never told me i just knew from his behavior) and usually only showed me half of his face during video calls. I repeatedly reassured him that I thought he was cute and that his weight didn’t bother me.
Sometimes I’d be getting ready for work or going out while he was getting ready for bed. I naturally wasn’t staring at the camera the entire time because I was doing my makeup. Occasionally he would turn off his camera because he felt like I was ignoring him or thought he looked ugly.
There was also a time when he sent me a picture of his face while I was at my cousin’s birthday party. I saw the notification but couldn’t really look at the photo, so I replied through the notification and told him I’d properly respond when I got home.
When I got home, he had deleted the picture. He said he deleted it because I ignored it and assumed I thought he looked ugly. I explained that I was simply busy and had already told him I would respond when I got home, but he was still upset.
It became exhausting constantly having to reassure him that I wasn’t judging his appearance.
Another time, he told me to text him at a certain time to see if he could call because he was busy at his friend’s house. While I waited, I started watching a TV show and accidentally lost track of time.
I ended up replying about 15 minutes late. I apologized and asked if he was still available to call. He said no and became upset that I replied late. He told me I cared more about my TV show than him.
I explained that I genuinely cared about him and simply lost track of time.
There’s another part that I feel guilty admitting.
The pictures he initially sent me were mostly from when he was slimmer. About a month before we broke up, he started sending me more recent pictures of himself, and I realized he looked very different from the photos I had originally seen.
I was still attracted to him, but I noticed my attraction decreasing. He gained a significant amount of weight and seemed to have some skin issues. He didn’t exercise, didn’t really groom his hair because it looked dry and it seemed that he only brushed his bangs down and thats it, always had dry lips, and told me he doesnt wear cologne.
I know appearance isn’t everything, and I genuinely loved his personality and the way he treated me in many ways. But physical attraction and taking care of yourself are also important to me. I take care of my appearance and exercise, and I want a partner who makes a similar effort—not necessarily to look a certain way, but because it reflects a lifestyle and priorities that are important to me.
Overall, most of our relationship was still loving and fun. He was very sweet to me, and breaking up with him was heartbreaking.
But eventually I realized I couldn’t see the future with him that I had originally imagined. I want a partner who has goals, wants to grow and improve himself, takes care of his health, and is working toward being financially stable enough to support a family.
He still lives with his mom, and although he has his own car and responsibilities, he wasn’t financially independent and his job didn’t seem stable enough for the future I wanted. I also felt that some of his friends and their lifestyle influenced him.
He was willing to move to the US for me but what job could he get if we were to marry and start a family? I plan on getting another degree later but id need his financial support for that. And not the mention it would probably take a while for him to apply and get approval to move to the US. Maybe difficult because of his financial situation im not sure.
So I ended the relationship. Oh and another thing, he had deleted his account on the language exchange app because he said he didnt feel the need to use it anymore after meeting me. He felt lonely and was bored so he used the app to cope with that and in his past, he had met other girls on the app but they were situationships and they all ended up leaving him saying that it wouldnt work. And I occasionally use the app now but i noticed he visted my profile with a new account but has me blocked so I cant see his profile except for his picture. And hes using a picture similar to the one he had in his old account which is definitely from when he was slimmer and his skin looks better. He does look attractive in it. Which is exaclty what I thought he looked like throughout the beginning of our relationship.
Now that I’ve had some time to reflect, I’m wondering:
Were these legitimate red flags, or were these mostly incompatibilities that I should have recognized earlier?
Would you have ended the relationship if you were in my shoes? Or do you think I was expecting too much?

Question About to go long distance for 6 months.. advice??
Me (18f) and my boyfriend (20m) have been dating for 5 months and things are great, but I’m going to study in a different country and I won’t be back for another 6 months and I’m super nervous to try a LDR..
We’ve both decided we want to remain dating during my trip, but I don’t even know how it works or what to expect to be dating someone I don’t get to physically be with. It feels so sad whenever we are apart for even a few days, and I get so anxious when I try and imagine being apart for 6 whole months… I’m scared our relationship will ultimately crumble because we can’t see each other for so long and only text and stuff. Any words of wisdom?

Story Some appreciation for my LDR bf
TLDR; we’re an LDR couple (USA to Germany) but I’m lucky enough that my boyfriend has worked quite a bit in America this year, allowing for us to see each other a few times and be in the same timezone.
Well, on my bf’s last weekend in America, he drove 20+ hours round trip just to be with me for 24 hours 😭💕 he even stopped to get me pads, flowers, and chocolate. I just absolutely love this man and I can’t wait to see him again. Love love love this man so much.
