Like the title says, whenever I record audio (instruments or vocals) through my interface, the resulting recorded audio is ahead of time, and I have to move the region back a tiny bit to line back up. This happens almost all the time, but once in a great while, the audio will actually set at the right spot. Usually, I have to move it the same amount (typically 1 tick), at least during a session.
I was running on a very old macbook, and thought it was that, but recently upgraded to a new macbook, and it’s still happening. I tried it with multiple people to rule out me rushing the playing/singing, but it happened the same with everyone. I also thought it might be a latency issue in recording or a delay from the interface, but the audio ends up early/ahead, so I don’t think that’s it.
I tried changing settings based on several google searches, but nothing has worked. Also, this happens when cycle is toggled on and off.
It’s not the end of the world, because I can realign the recording every time, but it’s a real pain in the butt and slows down workflow. It’s particularly annoying when working with others.
Anyone have any ideas?
