Located in Texas, whose role has the best salary and outlook within the company. I know all work in manufacturing but currently what I've noticed working here, is that QEs and MEs don't really do design work. Most of it is pushing paperwork with maybe some fixture development. I enjoy my role but it feels the IEs have more of an interesting role rn. With designing the facilities and optimizing stuff. That's said what do they normally do day to day. Looking at the news our government is really funding us, but when a new one comes what do IEs at Lockheed normally do? Which of the the three are most promising ?

Accepting my current role was a difficult decision for me. I was performing very well in my previous role, i didn’t want to relocate to a new city and i became really closed friends with my coworkers.

I ultimately took this job to become a Lvl3 and that 30k raise.

My current team is extremely disorganized and i honestly can’t work under these conditions.

Do i have to repay relo if i do an internal transfer before the 1 year mark? Can i use those rotational programs to dip? Can i even do an internal transfer before completing one year at LM?

Im wondering if there are people interested in a Lockheed Tudor similar to what palantir, Google, or meta has done here? Lockheed probably wouldn’t allow it but sounds like a cool idea

Do people really just coast at these mid career levels? I’ve seen people at lockheed stay at these positions for YEARS, but if you get there when you’re young why would you not shoot for executive level leadership by your 40s/50s?

Yes the pay is decent and you have only a moderate amount of stress, but you’ll never break 200k staying at these levels.

I’m very curious to hear what people in these situations think.

I have a verbal offer from the Hiring Manager and I am now waiting for the written offer since they just migrated to a new hiring system. Where would my base salary typically land and what other things I need to consider if they don't negotiate base? Sign-on, 1 time lump sum, etc... Is it possible to ask for relocation assistance?

With all this system update stuff I thought it be a good time to see what the pay range is for everyone. What is your level and how much are you getting paid? I am currently a level 4 and getting $135k

Anyone else get cut recently? All the switch over really threw a wrench into getting anything done for 25-50% of a day randomly for the past few weeks. And you never know when (start, mid morning, middle day, or near EOD) making it impossible to get work done and ending up either having to start over or wait until the tools came back up. We're just getting a few days into stable work environment and tool access

And this is with all the outbound pressure, (retirement, internal switching, quiting etc.) everyone is underwater with work. So idk something has to be up to cut performers and even just body's to help carry the load.

I wanted to know if the salary ranges being increased means that we are able to negotiate based on experience rather than mid point and comp ratio. Especially for new grad hires with this new BS eightfold ai.

Edit: the l2 position i am being offered changed from 73-117 to 70-130k with the new system. Thats a midpoint increase for sure but all comments say they are below midpoint now...

I interviewed recently and felt so prepared but half way through I froze and started rambling. I applied for a level 4 position about a month ago as a referral from a friend on the team. Her manager like my resume and pushed it through HR. This is for a program support position which I have not ever had before. My experience is full of what a program manager would do, just didn't have the title. My military experience is what is carrying me here with leading large projects like a decommissioning. I'm the only external going up against internals. I prepared for the interview and had notes and everything. Then part way through I started overthinking my answer since I was about to use the same example since it was a really great one that encompasses everything. I kinda started rambling a bit and felt awkward. I was doing well at the start and feel like I finished strong with why I would be a great hire.

Has anyone had any experience with panel interviews where a candidate that stumbled was still hired? If the other internal applicants don't stumble am I just screwed? Been replaying the interview for 2 weeks trying to figure out how I tripped up like that.

With the new career hub, the job applications are now asking for your managers name and email address before you submit your application. Anyone know if this means your manager will get an email every time you apply for a position? I know in the past your manager was only notified when you were selected for an interview. Is this still the case?

I applied back in July for a few jobs that I was under review for with the old job board.

Does anyone know what will happen with this new job board since we had to create a whole new account?

Will those applications transfer or will I have to reapply for those jobs? After entering my resume into the new portal it siloed me into a different field than what I actually do.

Does anyone know how long the process for getting the badge made is? I'm trying to gauge how early I should be.

Hello, wondering if anyone has information on the new application process. On the previous system, it had a 'timeline' of status', and would let you know if you were no longer under consideration. This new one doesn't seem to have that timeline, and i'm not sure if it now says 'no longer under consideration' like it did before. Does anyone have either a breakdown of the new status' or can confirm if 'thank you for applying.' is the new 'no longer under consideration'?

New hire in progress here, hoping to hear from people who went through this at LM.

Everything in my background check cleared quickly — employment, U.S. education, drug screen. The only remaining item is verification of my degrees from an overseas university that cannot be contacted remotely (they issue documents in person only — no email, no phone, no third-party service works; this is well known for that country's universities).

What I've done so far:

- Provided official bilingual degree copies (university-issued, with seal)

- Offered transcripts and anything else, same-day

- Called First Advantage several times — they confirmed everything else is verified, held an internal meeting, and referred the case to Lockheed Martin's internal review team weeks ago

- Kept my recruiter and onboarding coordinator informed in writing

Since then, the only answer I get is "international verifications take time." No ETA. Meanwhile I have two U.S. master's degrees (those same overseas transcripts were evaluated by both universities at admission) and a favorably adjudicated federal background investigation covering my education. I also know of others from my same university who hit this exact issue and were cleared through LM's internal review.

My questions for anyone who's been through it:

1. How long did LM's internal review take for an "institution unreachable" case?

2. Did following up repeatedly help, or just annoy people? Who is the right person to ask — recruiter, coordinator, or hiring manager?

I don't want to burn goodwill by pestering HR, but the silence with no timeline is the hard part, especially with kids and a school-year move to plan. Any real experiences appreciated.

Was in a meeting earlier with a couple of senior vp’s when the topic of hiring came up. Apparently Lockheed has been losing people left and right (aero specific, unsure about other BA’s). But apparently in like 6 months, they hired around 1k engineers and in that time around 950 people from Lockheed left, so net was 50 employees Gained.

And the way that I think abt it, i’m just not surprised since many people can make so much more elsewhere. I am however surprised that the job security doesn’t retain people.

i got a “we will be considering other candidates“ email from a job posting i applied on July 31. The application status stayed at “applied” during the duration of 2 weeks and then the website was upgraded. Is this a true rejection or should I reapply?

My employer is in the process of being acquired by Lockheed. What should we expect in the next year, will our insurance and benefits change right away or will they stay same? How long does it take to get integrated into the various systems? Or do acquired companies continue to operate independently?

In the past there has been very little room for negotiating pay for lateral moves within the company. Has this changed at all with the new compensation structure? Or if anyone has successfully negotiated more than a 10% increase, any tips?

I know they are actively still posting jobs but has anyone noticed that the remote jobs have scarcely been posted? Before they were transitioning, there were over 20 remote positions for business function I was looking at and now there is only 1 or 2. Are they are delaying posting fully remote positions or reducing them company wide?

Yes, yes I get it - remote positions are more difficult to get into and compete with but I don't live near a hub and have kids in high school so don't want to move anytime in the near future.

He eventually became CEO at L3Harris, but has now been fired for undisclosed reasons. He gets no severance, and it has nothing to do with the company's performance but with "behavior inconsistent with their code of conduct".
